The noodles tasted as if they were boiled in dirty dishwater. There was plenty of meat and chillies, but I counted a single piece of f^€king celery, no green onions, and 6 peanuts. My god, this food is awful. I thought Pei Wei was bad. This $hit takes the cake. What an absolute waste of money. Do yourself a favor, go to Fulins, Panda Express, or the mall if you have a yen for some Chinese food. This place is not worth the price point. For what I paid, I could have had 3x the food that actually tasted like something and had some nutritional value. Unfortunately, this location of PF Changs has gone down considerably based on our most recent visit (Jan 2025). While once a shining point of this restaurant's reputation was the quality of their service and their food. This visit found both questionable, especially in the quality of their service. We had a spicy chicken dish and the Mongolian beef dish. The chicken was slightly over cooked, probably due to their preparation of the chicken. A quality kitchen will ensure that the meat is cut in approximately the same size pieces to ensure even cooking. However, our dish contained pieces of all sizes, including some cut so small as to be considered scraps. The beef dish was also disappointing as much of the meat was very tough and stringy. On the service side, our main dishes were served almost immediately after receiving our appetizers which we had just begun eating. When I mentioned this to the server, he asked if we would like it returned to the kitchen and kept warm under a heat lamp. When finished, my wife asked that our leftover food be wraped in take out containers. The waiter then simply put take out boxes on our table and walked away. In the past, PF Chang's trained their servers to individually package the leftovers in containers as part of their dining experience. Not with this server. With a bill over $100 for two people without any alcohol, we expected more and were disappointed. read more

Last night, 1/16/23, my husband and I ordered food from the PF Changs Cool Springs. It was my first meal out since I had a traumatic fall and ruptured my patella tendon in 2021. I was so excited because it was the first time I could eat at my USED TO BE favorite restaurant. I waited all day to get the food and spent my Christmas gift card only to be given what looked like a child's meal. He ordered sesame chicken and got a bunch of brown rice, what looks like a few pieces of grilled chicken or something, broccoli in whole pieces, and FRUIT. Naturally upset, I called to tell them they gave my husband the wrong meal and was dismissed by the hostess. She told me she would give my name and number to the supervisor and she would call me back as soon as possible. That never happened and my husband had to end up sharing my meal. The evening was ruined. There has to be some accountability. The least that could have happened was a phone call from the manager. We will not be back EVER! Worst experience ever. DONT FALL FOR THE DUMPLINGS- they're inciting but everything else is awful. The food was awful, the experience was awful, the service was mediocre. I got the Kung Pao Chicken and it tasted horrible. The meat tasted fake and the rice tasted bland. It was as if they got the food out the freezer, due to the freezer burn taste. The food came out cold and crunchy. My friend ordered Sesame Chicken and she had the same complaints as me. I ordered Strawberry Lemonade and it tasted watered down and they never refilled our drinks until we were almost done with our food, then they brought my friend a hot coke with no ice. We came here because it was my friends 18th birthday and they gave her pinch of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Pie. Our ole trusty dinner spot. We nearly never venture outside of our normal habits of what we order, but we love what we love. For appetizers we are huge fans of the fried pork potstickers. The sauce they put on them is soy based but they add some chili flakes and other deliciousness and we just love them. We also are huge fans of the crispy fried green beans. I think I could honestly eat those as my entree. This particular time we actually went because we had a coupon for 25cent spicy chicken with purchase of any entree so we got our normal Mongolian Beef (made spicy) and the spicy chicken. We like spice. Both were wonderful. Service was consistent. Always a great option, IMO. read more

If "Chang" means "bad" in Mandarin, then I have a pretty good idea now what the "P.F" stands for. How the somewhat mighty have fallen. Chang's was a place, in its prime, where you could get a bit more refined Chinese food in an upscale setting when you didn't want to eat General Tso out of a takeout container. You knew you would have to call ahead or plan to wait, especially on a weekend night, but it would be worth it. You'd have a Tokyo Mule or a Kirin and look upon the clean, well-decorated dining room full of smiling, laughing patrons, knowing you'd join them soon and enjoy fresh, creative, made-to-order Asian fare. My husband and I found ourselves in Cool Springs on a Friday evening and were hungry. "Oh, how about Chang's?" one of us said. Famous last words. Red flag #1: Found a good parking spot. There were many. Red flag #2: There weren't patrons spilled out all over the sidewalk either rubbing their tummies or anxiously waiting. Red flag #3: Poorly run hostess stand. I've said it before and should heed my own words but hear me now: if you walk in and there are more than 4 people congregated at the hostess stand, turn around and walk out. That is always a dead giveaway to a poorly run operation. Bonus points for youth, confusion on their faces, ignoring someone right in front of them, or a more-than-half empty restaurant with tables aplenty and they tell you it will be a minute. Last night, we walked in behind a party of 6. This completely flummoxed the 4-5 young girls gathered at the hostess stand. They stood in a huddle like they were planning the last play in a tied state championship. We could have used a Hail Mary. I just didn't know it yet. After standing there for a beat hearing them discuss what to do with these people, I got the attention of one of them and pointed to myself and the two other groups who walked in behind us, as if to say, "hi, yes, there are other people here. Let's get this moving." I skipped pleasantries and went with "we have two." She asked my name. I looked around, again at a maybe 35% full dining room, and asked, "is there a wait?!" "Oh, [ha ha] no, um, we just, like, have to ask people's names but, like, whatever....it's OK." They led us to our table and placed paper menus in front of us. [I'll interject here that I am over any and all old COVID measures in restaurants. Time to get busy living, people. I don't want plexiglass everywhere and I want a REAL menu.] Strangely, some patrons were presented with actual menus. We ordered arguably their most popular, pedestrian appetizer: chicken lettuce wraps. In their heyday (Chang's and the wraps'), you were presented with a pile of large, crisp iceberg lettuce leaves, a steaming pile of minced chicken, garlic, scallion, and sesame oil, on a bed of thin rice noodles. A trio of sauces would accompany and the server would make up a little serving for you, table side, explaining what each sauce was and how you could turn up or dial back the heat. The appetizer came but it was a sad testament to its former glory. There were some small, torn, floppy pieces of lettuce and a meager pile of chicken and noodles. Red flag #4: We waived down our server and asked her if they didn't still present the wrap with the trio of sauces and her response was, "oh, yeah, I can bring those to you." (Only if you ask, though.) Red flag #5: Our server was present - we saw her running around and attending to other tables and bringing out drinks and checks and running to make change - but we had to hunt her down every time we needed her. Then the entrees came out. Husband ordered Chicken Pad Thai (per menu: Rice noodles, Thai spices, tofu, green onion, peanuts - Substitute with Shrimp or Added Charge for Combo). He ordered the combo which means, for an added charge, you can get both chicken and shrimp. When he examined his dish, he noted there was not much chicken, it was mostly tofu, and there were THREE shrimp and they were tiny. I mean like half dollar sized. They looked like canned shrimp. I ordered Buddha's Feast (per menu: Five-spice tofu, savory sauce, green beans, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots) but I customized it by saying "I only want broccoli - none of the other stuff...no mushrooms, no carrots..." The server nodded in agreement that she understood. (She did not.) I noted that in the old days, they'd ask you when you ordered if you wanted brown or white rice and that our girl didn't ask me which I preferred. That came back to haunt me as another worker set down a bowl of steamed broccoli in front of me and said, "there you go...is that right?" I replied, "well, it's partly right but where's my rice?" He said, "right, I'll go get that for you. We waited. And waited. Me for my rice and hubby for the rest of his protein. But no one ever came. We asked 3 different people for a manager. Nothing. Worst take out experience EVER!! We placed an order yesterday (5/9) for takeout today (5/10-Mother's day) at 5:30 p.m. We arrived at 5:20, and pulled into the car line for curbside pickup. We attempted to call the number provided to notify them we had arrived, but no one was answering that phone. After multiple unsuccessful attempts, we had to go inside to let them know. At this point, I was told they were running 45 minutes to an hour behind. Now I understand this is Mother's Day, and service is a little different under COVID precautions, but what is the point of order ahead if I'm going to have to wait an hour once I'm there to pick up? An hour and a half of waiting later, we got our food. Unfortunately, the bad experience didn't end there. The restaurant left out 3 of our orders. Not only that, but the orders we had were sub par. The Kung Pao chicken looked like it had been half eaten and their was a shrimp in my chicken entree...I have a shellfish allergy so this was a huge problem. The chicken fried rice had no chicken, and the food we did have was ice cold!! So, I truck back to the restaurant to get the remaining three entrees. Egg rolls were over cooked , Mongolian beef was so tough my husband kept calling it beef jerky and the bowl of wonton soup barely served three instead of the 6 it is suppose to.. partly because our server spilled quite a bit on the table then took 10 mins to even attempt to clean ip the mess... Our biggest dissatisfier was the service. After being sat for 10 Minutes and our server passes up by several times, we had to ask to place our drink order , then flagged her down to order food and actually everything else such as drink refills. . Had the new Korean bulgogi bbq and the Mongolian potstickers. Meat was thickly sliced instead of super thin like real bulgogi is served. The New potstickers were PSN fries which is fine but the Mongolian steak was minced up. Which tasted like baby food stuffed inside the dough. That all said, I will not order these items again. As for the serve, well glad I was not in a hurrah. Just not a place to get in a hurrah or ask to get extra type of sauces. Seems the servers do not know what sauces go with what dishes. My husband & I met our son and daughter in law there for dinner last night. To our surprise, for a Saturday night, in was not very busy. We did have a reservation, so we were promptly seated. Within five minutes, a bus boy accidentally knocked over two full pitchers of ice water behind us, which all landed down my back and pants, as well as my daughter in law's. I realize acci happen, and I truly feel for the young man, as he seemed very distraught over the event. What was appalling to us, was not one member of management came over to assist us. We were left standing there drenched, much to the amusement of the customers seated around us. My son and daughter in law went to the hostess desk to ask for help, and even then, only a staff member brought a pile of towels over for us to use. We ended up seating ourselves!! A nice waiter, Zach, who was not involved in the incident, came and took care of us for the rest of the evening. He apologized. Where was management??!! He did a nice job, and told us our two appetizers and two desserts would be comped. We are still very upset on how poorly this was handled. The lack of leadership and professionalism was very apparent. Our entire dinner should have been comped!!! And a manager should have taken over the situation. I was drenched!! Food is amazing, I come here a lot and I always get a side of lo mein and a side of tofu and they are always fine with it. Until one day I went and they charged me for a lo mein entree with tofu when that's not what I ordered and when I wanted a price correction the manager was pretty down to the point saying that they can't ring it up that way and he was making me feel bad for how they always ring it up putting the blame on me. I most likely won't come back until they get new management. One terrible experience ruined it all. UPDATE - The P.F. Kids menu came with One crayon - orange. No water refills throughout the whole meal. Hostess acted like she was doing us a favor seating us.
