I bought a washing machine from PC Richard's and upon delivery the delivery people knocked and broke to pieces a large planter. They noted the receipt and told me to call. I called the number I was given and after being on hold I was told I would get a call back which never happened. The next day I tried again and the same thing I was on hold for a while and then I was told to get a call back and again nothing. Then I called again and I've decided to just wait on hold until someone finally came on and told me he put in a claim and I would be notified in 24 to 48 hours about the claim. Now it has been a week and I have yet to hear anything so obviously being told something by people at PC Richard's means nothing. read more

The appointment I had to have the other one repaired was easily turned into delivery. The delivery guys were awesome and in and out with in 1/2 hour tops! AND the washing machine is awesome!!! So, like any long term relationship we have had our ups and downs. (Mostly ups except in the repair Dept) so thank you for getting the job done and done right! I am a now a very satisfied costumer. My wife went into the store to get me a firm mattress adjustable bed as I have ALS (Lou Gehrig's) Disease. I no longer have the ability to walk or use my hands. I had been through 2 other mattresses by 2 other stores with no success with one that wouldn't make me feel like I'm suffocating. The first we got from Costco with no problems returning and the second we got from ghost and had a terrible time returning and losing $3000 on that one. So when my wife went into PC Richards she was very specific with what I needed and the ability to return if this too didn't work. She worked with an employee and a manager in the purchase of this set. She reiterated "numerous" times that this would be returnable and every time the answer was YES. The only out of pocket expense if it didn't work would be a $100 restocking fee. For us it was worth the try for $100. I tried the bed for 5 nights and was unable to continue because 1. it was affecting my breathing and 2. if I raised the bed my body would go into a full stretch and push me down the bed putting my feet off the bed and now placing me if an even worse position for breathing. This has been going on since December. Five days after my wife picked the bed up at their Farmingdale facility. For the last 2 months she has tried everything in dealing with the Patchogue location and the home office to no avail. My house is full of handicap equipment and no where to store these 2 twin beds with adjustable bases. I do understand being on commission but if a customer asks you several times the same question why now am I out of $6,500.00. As if the fact that I'm dying and this is the most expensive disease to have now I'm out $6,500.00. My family will never return to PC Richards after this. And if your wondering, I sleep in a recliner and occasionally a hospital bed. Getting this bed was going to make it that I could continue to sleep with my wife of 20 years before she looses me at 45 years old. read more

We just purchased our dryer from here. What a great experience. The salesman Todd was great. The delivery went smooth and fast. I had a quick return of a dryer vent and I was helped by Ralph. What a great guy, super nice! We have purchased many times from here. We haven't had one bad experience. We have purchased our washer, fridge, 2 TVs, dish washer and stove. Most recent was our stove back in 4/16. They price matched with Home Depot which was awesome. Unfortunately we have no appliances or electronics to replace at moment but when we do, we are going here again! A+ service!! read more

My mother was hospitalized due to the heat.We ordered her an A/C from PC Richards online and scheduled delivery and installation. They promised to call with the delivery time. When we called they said the driver had called and we didn't answer. Then they told us that our VM wasn't set up and it was our fault. This is a lie. My VM works just fine and calls from others were coming in with no problem. They called the wrong number and blamed the problem on us. That's complete BS. But I guess that with PC Richards the customer is always wrong. We will never do business with these creeps again. read more

I like PC Richards in general very competitive and the displays are easy to read. Prices are clearly shown. Big negative though, sales guys are very pushy when you walk in. There is a difference between a walk in greeting and getting hounded before you step off the welcome mat. I go in to price shop and I can see the sales guys getting frustrated because they can't seal the deal right away even after I drop a big hint I'm not ready to buy anything. It really aggravates me, I worked commission sales before but they have to know how to read each customer differently. I priced one item asked for a different style which was more money okay fine but as I was leaving magically a $200 option was only $20 bucks. Makes me wonder how big the markup is on each item I still like to shop there but sales guys please cool off a bit read more

If I could do no stars I would. We were purchasing a fridge on sale for $2599, with a price match of $2199. The salesperson stated he had Covid authorization to reopen a credit card and increase the credit line. This was absolutely not true, instead he put through a credit app without our authorization. We questioned numerous times if he was doing that, he blantantly stated no. We left the store after it was declined. We went back a week and a half later to complain to the store manager about the salesperson as we had a letter of proof that he had done this, we felt it was both immoral and illegal. We had other ways to pay, he should never have done that. When we went back, they did not honor the price of the refrigerator, as it was not longer on sale and would cost them more to honor it. Two issues: Being lied to and not honoring the price previously stated. read more

We have, as LOYAL customers, purchased many TV's, Refrigerator, Cloths Washing machine, and Dryer from PC Richards. We have had to call their service department for the washing machine which they could not repair and subsequently had to call another repair company. Well a problem with our refrigerator's ice maker had stopped working, again we called for service. The service person finally came to the house and diagnosed the problem within about one minute and would order the part. When the part would be in they would call us for another appointment. after a month I called them back, and of course the part was in, to see what the status was. Another appointment was scheduled for a few weeks later. At that time the part was changed and we paid for the service and part. Guess what ? It didn't work. I called back for another service call...Weeks later they came and checked further saying it was a module which would cost about $40.00 more. Finally again weeks later the part was in and the appointment made.. This time when the service tech said it was $175.00 not $40.00. Outcome so far: Paid for service and parts with the ice maker still not working. VERY unhappy with PC Richards. Go somewhere else to purchase anything !!!! read more

Was just in the Deer Park store. I purchased a very expensive 65" curved TV yesterday. Spent 2 hours mounting and hooking it up. The remote I was given was the wrong one. Went back to store today and explained to the guy there that it was the wrong remote, he told me I could buy one on-line. I almost fell over. I told him I could buy a TV on-line too. He said I could bring the TV back! I asked to speak to a manager and he said he is the manager. Don't they teach these guys what customer service is? Never again. read more

I will not shop at PC Richard & Son anymore because I purchase a laptop and another electronic device both with their respective extended warranty thru PC Richard and the refuse to honor their on Warranty every time is a different excuse the find not to cover it. I have even had several different excuses for the same item from different technicians. I had a problem with the laptop which they had me send away to their repair shop and they told me that their technician did a thorough check of it and found out it was a software issue on the laptop and claimed they opened the unit and physically checked the hard drive and cables only for them to return it to me with the manufacturer's seal still on the laptop and not cut or opened. There was NO WAY they could have opened the laptop without breaking said seal. After I brought that to their attention they sent it back to the repair shop and returned it back to me again seal intact on stated they did a complete hardware check including the motherboard and deemed it to be a power supply issue which of course was not covered! First it was a software issue tHen it was a power supply issue moth not covered by their extended warranty. I took it to a 3rd party computer repair company and they found a short in the motherboard no where near the power supply and said the motherboard needs to be replaced which IS covered by PC Richards warranty and it would cost me $200 parts and labor to have the other repair do. I showed the repair bill to PC Richards Store Manager and he told me to leave the store. I will not purchase anything from them again. read more

I have shopped at P.C. Richard & Son for years. Thankfully, I never before had an occasion to use my warranties but this time I did and this is where it all goes down hill. In 2016, after i lost my house in a fire, I purchased a suite of Kitchen Aid Appliances which were actually delivered in 2017 when my new home was done being built. From the beginning, the refrigerator did not work properly. It was a french door type and the top refrigerator was always getting warm which was spoiling my food. From the beginning, PC Richards own service techs told me this problem was a known issue with this particular model. I asked them several times for a new refrigerator but they just kept repairing it. Now, 3 years later, they FINALLY agreed to replace it. I purchased a 10 year extended warranty which included replacing the model if it was deemed unrepairable. To my dismay I was informed that the exact same refrigerator I had, (newer model that did not have the issue at hand) was $500 more than what I paid and I would have to pay the difference! Not only that but I was also told that although I have 7 years left on my warranty, once they replaced the refrigerator, that warranty would be null and void. I was told if i wanted a new extended warranty for the new refrigerator, I would have to pay for it which was another $300+ dollars. When I questioned why I would have to pay more to REPLACE the same refrigerator and buy an extended warranty again, I was told that's the way their warranties work which no one tells you while their selling it to you at the store. I was also told if I died and had a life insurance policy, the life insurance policy is not transferable and their warranty isn't either! So what is a person to do? After calling their customer service division for many days and speaking with anyone that would listen, I decided to email their corporate office. I was told that I would have to work out the price of the fridge with the store but they would allow me to transfer my existing 7 year warranty to the new fridge. I then contacted the store and was told that the same model was not in stock and would not be in for several weeks/months and to pick something else. Since all of my food was spoiling constantly, I had no choice but to get a different model. I chose a Whirlpool french door model. I had whirlpool in the past and never had an issue so i thought i would be safe. This model was $300 less than my other fridge and they would not give me the difference back. I find this ridiculous since they wanted me to pay them another $500 for a more expensive one that was truly a replacement. They came and delivered by new model a week later BUT the 2 delivery guys who came were very unprofessional. I repeatedly told them they would have to take the doors off of my original refrigerator to fit it down my steps (I have a high ranch) and out the front door. They would not listen to anything i said and ultimately damaged by railings and ended up having to take the doors off the fridge to get it out the front door anyway. I did not notice the damage to the railing until after they left because they then carried the new one up the stairs and leaned it back and damaged my wall! I saw one of the men rubbing the wall but he said nothing to me. I then walked over and saw the damage and pointed out what he did. He then said "it happens, the fridge is 450 lbs. Sorry". I was completely frustrated and just wanted to cry. He then had the audacity to tell me to write "great job" on the receipt. I told him i would do nothing like that. I proceeded to write "good job, damaged wall, heavy fridge" (i was being wise) He was not happy i wrote this and proceeded to leave. I tried calling PC Richard immediately, only to be put on hold, with a recording about limited staff due to covid 19. No one ever came to the phone and then the phone just disconnected!!!! This happened many times that day. I ended up speaking with no one. I then contacted the customer service division by email again. explained the damage and was sent an email telling me I have to have more people come into my home to give them damage estimates. ( I am scared to have more people come in due to Covid). Oh, and did I mention that an awful sound came out of my new fridge which sounds like a freight train??? This happens once per hour for several seconds. I contacted them about that also. I have had ENOUGH! Several hundred dollars of food spoilage in 3 years; the damage to my wall, the damage to my railing and now my new fridge sounding like a freight train I am completely disgusted with them and their service. All of their commercials claim they are reliable! Really? Want to make this right PC Richard? Swap out my new freight train fridge for a new Kitchen aid model when it comes it and ACTUALLY REPLACE IT without additional charges and take care of my damages! Be reliable as you claim to be!!! read more

it's very unfortunate when you have such a pleasant experience but then some lowlife has to ruin it for you. Their customer service was amazing- up until I realized i dropped my wallet in the store while carrying out a TV I purchased. I returned not even 3 minutes later to collect my wallet, which was immediately found by an employee by the name of Dave. I walk out of the store and make sure none of my cards fell out only to realize that all my cash was STOLEN. if it was $20/30 fine i don't care. BUT IT WAS $100. I went right back in, spoke to the manager and he went to get "Dave" just for him to of course deny having anything to do with it. I've been a manager before and if you feel like a customer is wrongly accusing one of your employees, I gladly offer security footage to see the smug look on their face when nothing happens. The manager didn't even blink an eye to offer any sort of solution to the issue. Let's eliminate your 110 years of "honesty" because who knows what other lawless things the employees here have done. read more

He told me that PC Richard was going to deliver us a new upgraded Samsung television at no cost to me! My wife, my father and I went to PC Richards looking for some specific products which we saw on the website. Daniel, the salesperson who helped us, could not have been more helpful. He found us what we wanted, and got us in and out fast! As long as he works there, this PC Richards will be my choice for electronics. The only downside of this store is getting into it. There's a small lot in the front that's near impossible to pull into/out of. The side lot's easier, but since the only entrance and exit are on a major highway's service road, it can be frustrating to get in and out. read more

If I knew that there were things I needed to do before installing this refridgerator, it would have helped the delivery run smoother. The salesman response to my questions were curt. Mike omitted info that would have been useful to the installation of the fridge. When I spoke to him the day of delivery he was condescending. Not the smooth operator I met on the floor the day I was shopping. The fridge is fine, not great, just fine. My issue is not with the fridge but the sale process. The most disrespectful and obvious racist salesperson Larry ruined my already bad experience with PC Richards. I walked into the store and adhered to a sign that asked for customers to wait at the entrance of the store before being helped. I was the first person in line (black woman) and another woman (white woman) walked into the store shortly behind me. Larry decided to ask the other woman twice if she needed help before he asked me if I needed assistance. The woman didn't reply knowing I was in front of her... I say to Larry "I was here first" and he finally decided to assist in a potential purchase. Larry didn't have the item I was interested in in-stock and I decided to leave. I than see him walk towards the front of the store where a line was forming and the first customers in line were an Indian family and behind them was a white man. Larry continued to ignore the Indian customers and ask the white man if he needed assistance first. Either Larry doesn't know if one comes before two OR he is just a racist, bigot salesperson. On both occasions, I was purchasing kitchen appliances for new kitchen installations, and Philip was most helpful in navigating me through all of the decisions necessary to identify the best product, with the best fit, at the best price with the utmost patience and personable conversation followed by the care and attention to ensure that my purchase would be received to my complete satisfaction because his involvement did not stop at finalizing the sale and collecting the money. How great is that!!! I feel honored to have had a sales experience that was not all about the money, but really about meeting all of the needs of a customer until completely satisfied.
