He showed me some options while another gentleman gave me a book to take home and told me to go online and try the flooring in my room online. I called on a Friday to inform them I would be off the following Saturday I was told to call Saturday morning and Bob would be able to help me. I called & Bob came over and took the measurements with no pre-appointment I was able to go back to the store and get some large sample boards and take them home and see how they looked in the lighting in my house awesome customer service by all the staff. Starting in August 24, 2023 Mike called me back with a price for the work I needed done. Him & his staff Sabrina & Bob were absolutely awesome. Fortunately & unfortunately for me when Sabrina & crew came by to lay the floor down my subflooring was rotted & when I asked about the kitchen I was told my dishwasher was placed under the subfloor & if the floor was put in & the dishwasher failed or needed to be replaced (which I was planning on) the floor, countertops & cabinets would have to be ripped out. Wait! What?! Dayum! Wasn't expecting that. Because of their honesty & integrity I later found out that The back room was improperly installed on a wooden deck that is rotting and sinking into the ground so now my back room has to be demolished and rebuilt! UGHH!! And to think all because I wanted a new floor. Soooooo! Now all these months later I'm still figuring out what needs to be remodeled & what actually can be remodeled. Not having fun yet. But I'm grateful for A-1 Carpets help with giving me a contractor's number & working with my crazy work schedule. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. 3-27-2022

Overcharged my home owners insurance. Charged my home owner insurance a full basement worth of flooring. The job only required a third of the basement at best. They also ran out of flooring and had to use the extra flooring I still had in my basement. Workers also took a 90 min lunch break on top showing up late and leaving early. Wish led to this job being a week longer then required. They overcharge the insurance company for a custom cabinet to be built, but in reality all they had to do was reinstall it. The job was below sub par. The door didn't close and the shelves fell a part. Avoid this company like the plague and don't use at all. And they asked for my WIFI Password. My wife and I built our house in 2010 with select oak floors throughout the house. However, the oak…read morefloor finish wore out (mostly in the kitchen) within two years. Since then, we refinished the floor three times with two different companies, but the result got worse and worse, with dirt trapped under the finish, worn areas becoming bigger, and the overall look of the floor has become "dead" with all the beauty of the oak gone. This summer we decided to redo the floor again and I (very fortuitously) found Mike Callahan of Callahan Brothers. That was the beginning of a very smooth "sailing" to perfect floors and more. Mike came to look at the floors and I told him of several other issues we had in the house. For example, we had problems with rain missing the gutters and getting into the house because of the solar panels on the roof. Mike recommended an outstanding gutter company and suggested what needs to be done (install 6" gutters) which completely fixed the problem. Then, Mike suggested a company that packed and moved our furniture out of the house and a painter who repaired the trims after the floor work and did some other repairs. And now to the central issue of how Mike transformed our floors. His crew under the foreman Carlos covered everything in the house with sheets, sanded the floors and stairs, and worked with us to select the stain color that we liked the most. The result was magnificent. The floors came alive like I have never seen before. On top of that, the crew left the house clean and ready to move back in
