Great . Love to get the Pepperidge Farm bread here for 1.50 different varieties. Great deal. You can find deals going through the aisles and also sign up with your email and they send you a lot of discounts. They also send you coupons for free items. Customer service is good and the store is clean. read more

Good spot for Christmas gift bags, bows etc. this time of year. Prices are low for items for your medicine cabinet. They keep the store pretty organized and clean for a busy store. The cashiers don't seem very happy. Hope they are being treated well. read more

I was amazed how organize and clean the store is I had good service with the cashier name Ingrid she was so sweet and very helpful too , I had my new born and my daughter with me I was forgetting everything but she ran outside to bring me my table umbrella I been wanting , at a other place they would have just put it back or give me a hard time . She was so patient too , even when people where being mean to her for no reason. We have to treat the retail people good and not get mad to open more registers she was doing amazing for 1 cashier I will be coming back to this location and I will be telling my family and friends. This is the second time in 2 weeksthat biglots advertised 25 percent off of firepits only to be the items aren't available. My wife and i went to 4 different biglots in the area and got a different answer at everyone as to why we cant get it or order it. I am looking to purchase the 7 piece broyhill hightop fire pit and chairs for 1000 I would like an answer as to why this is advertised but we cant get it. Love this store because of the discounted food. However, it can be hit or miss. There's often new shipments of items that didn't sell in another store and for a reason. Usually they are close to expiring or just taste terrible. I got a roasted tomato bruschetta spread and we couldn't even eat it. Had to chuck it. Wasn't expired but something was off about it. Also got this red lobster biscuit mix. Tasted nowhere near the biscuits at Red Lobster and I followed the instructions to a T. Not sure how to fix them. It's still worth it to go to this store because the prices can be significantly lower than the grocery store. You gotta know what your looking for when coming in. read more

Bargain store I like Big Lots- they have decent costs on a lot of small doo-dads that you need for the house / yard but the downside is, you never know what they will have or if you need more of an item, if they will have it next time. Prices can be awesome cheap but sometimes the quality is reflected in the cost. The selection here is constantly evolving and you tend to find yourself wandering a bit looking for things as the placement since your last visit changed. Check out here usually sucks - you find a lot of people returning items or just loaded up with tons of stuff, so plan on waiting on line to check out of the place. Overall it may work for you. Worst god damn staff ever . Bought a Broyhill Leather Couch on Thursday from Blue Hairdo store manager Ashley who put eyes on the couch , described the box and sold it to me for $1075 in total plus shipping and setup fees . I pay in full , never receiving the $100 off from the sale , charged me $89 for a 3 year warranty , completed the sale , gave me the information to hire the movers , date is set , movers coming on Sunday , couch has been confirmed in stock by 3 different people and when the movers show up to pick it up , the Manager sold my couch to someone else and now as I sit and wait to move into a new home , my furniture is no longer coming . The store manager knew it was wrong but she still did it . Probably took a bribe too. I will pursue this until she is either fired or I sue the store and her for breach of contract . After ordering online I drove over to pick it up and ended up browsing the store to find a bunch more things I needed. The place is clean and full of stuff. The prices are ok although not as cheap as I expected from this kind of store. It's convenient for me since I go to the Stop & Shop in the same shopping center. If you are looking for something specific you may have to go there a number of times since stock is always changing. And I find this store slightly confusing with a hap hazard way of displaying items. And they don't have enough check out cashiers so plan on standing in line for a bit. But if you go regularly you can find some good deals. read more

Went to the Holbrook store Travis was amazing! Black Friday lines were ridiculous. Staff handled themselves with professionalism and moved the line quick and successfully. Only needed Christmas hooks. People had carts full to the brim . But the superior staff moved it along skillfully and successfully. Would go back again based on the wonderful customer service! BE CAREFUL.. you are not dealing with sensible people here. As a long-time Big Lots customer, I'm disgusted with the quality of customer service and integrity of this store. Today, I had a horrific experience with a cashier named Pat when I was accused of shoplifting. An accusation is one thing, but both Pat and Lauren, the store manager, escalated what was a simple encounter by screaming obscenities in my face, causing a scene in front of my teenage son and visibly alarming other shoppers. It has been law in New York for two years now which prohibit the use of plastic bags; therefore, it is the norm that many shoppers reuse bags to grocery shop. When accused of shoplifting I calmly presented my receipt from my reused Big Lots branded bag. I am a Black woman raised in the Civil Rights Era and there have been no shortages of racial profiling in my life, even in 2022, so such an accusation is miserably a reality for me. However, the ease at which these employees disregarded the receipt and threatened to call the police because I denied them access to my purse make me wonder if such racial profiling and degrading harassment is completely acceptable at this company? My son is young enough to have never experienced this before and came home genuinely traumatized. This complaint is for him. We deserve better than this. read more

The customer service is a joke. The signage is a misleading scam. Half of the signs say 50% off holiday items and bath items, but when you get up the register it's actually 25% off and the employees could care less about their customers or correcting prices. One kind man brought in a phone he found in a cart and brought it to customer service and the employee looked annoyed instead of saying "thank you" giving it Negative stars. read more

We went to Big Lots to purchase a full size mattress, box spring and bed frame. Upon entering this store is large, well lit, comfortably air conditioned, clean, help is friendly and welcoming and the music is not too loud. Upon entering the furniture department we were helped immediately by 2 salesmen who were very helpful with the selection of a mattress set, allowing us to try out all that are on display and gave us considerable information so we could compare brands and features. They were very knowledgeable and professional. After we made our purchase (they even allowed us to use a mailer coupon) they rang up our sale and gave us the delivery information which they sublet out to another small company. This is where our purchase went bad! They use a delivery service called BERNIE DELIVERY SERVICE which is absolutely terrible about keeping their appointment times and even worse at communication. The store, help and products are all really great. The delivery service needs to be replaced with a more dependable company. read more

Worst customer service ever. The cashier had the biggest attitude because I had and was very short with me while I was respectful to her. I had to diffuse the situation by walking out because she seemed bother by helping customers. If she didn't like what she was doing, then she should find something else to do. I have been shopping at this store for many years. I have bought everything from mattresses to couches and everyday things I need for my family... I went in tonight to pick up my niece after her shift cause she needed a ride home. So while I waited I walked around with my 7 year old daughter and just was gonna buy some random stuff and a toy my daughter picked out. A very nice woman pat did a price check for me after I asked her how much it was and it was a 33$ toy. She said they were having a weekend sale starting tomorrow if I wanted too wait on the pricy toy cause I really didn't intend to buy much. Just then my niece walked up and said she was ready to go. So since we were together and family she stated I could bring it up with my niece and get an employee discount so I agreed to buy the toy tonight. However while at the register my niece stepped outside to go warm up the car and a woman named Mary who is extremely rude and dimeanimg starred at me and stated that I could not use her discount and if I tried she would have my niece fired. First of all she's not even a manager but misrepresented herself as one. Second she threatened to have my niece fired for not standing next to me at the register while I paid for my merchandise while it was already rung up and and she was just with me. She then continued to stare at my seven-year-old daughter who wanted to know if she could still get the toy making her very uncomfortable. My daughter kept asking why is she looking at me mommy?? Why is she going to fire my aunt mommy??? I replied to the woman that it was no big deal I didn't need the discount that wasn't the point. But how dare she disrespect me, miss represent herself as a manager speak to me harshly in front of my seven-year-old child and other customers on line makeing me feel very uncomfortable in a store that I've always like to shop in. Also embarrassing my niece who works there in front of her coworkers. As I left the store not wanting to disappoint my daughter over a lousy 8$ discount I bought the toy and other items anyway, while she stood at the doorway staring and me and my daughter while we left. No goodnite! No please come back again! Just total staring with dirty looks that I will never go back to this store. I work in customer service. For over 15 years now and if I ever treated a customer like that I would have been fired. Mary works in retail and it's her job to welcome, help and make the customer experience easy and pleasurable so they come back. She dosent belong in this business. I am a 40 year old woman and my niece is 21. I know how I felt and I can't imagine how my niece will now feel working there after being embarrassed and harassed by a fellow coworkers. I will be going to the store tomorrow as well to make another complaint again this woman but I will never shop there again and made sure to discuss with my daughter that we should not have been treated that way and don't ever let an employee at a store scare you. A few years ago I lost my wallet in the store. There was over 3 hundred dollars and all my credit cards and banking information. Needless to say I was very distressed. The manager was kind and helpful but we couldn't find the wallet. I left my information with her and 2 hours later the wallet was found with everything in it.
