This mall is about 90% shut down. I'm not even sure how they are making ends meet to be honest. It's a sad sight. That being said, I really enjoy it here. It feels like being in another world, a bygone era if you will. There's this great flea market place with tons of booths and random stuff to sort through, cards, games, movies, horror stuff, everything! Then right across the hall is a place with similar items, sports cards, games, movies etc. Otherwise the mall is pretty much dead. Hadn't been there in almost a year, went back and more of the stores that were open are now gone. Really needs to get some tenants as it's a cool little place with potential. Those flea market and card shops are awesome, everything else, not so much. If you aren't going for the couple stores I mentioned, I wouldn't bother going. read more

Idea: where Pancake Cottage was, put a Five Guys. Where Pathmark was put a Trader Joe's. Where the Record Stop / FYE was put a Duck Donuts or Peet's Coffee. Where Sterling Optical was, put a Warby Parker. Let the hipsters bring back Sun-Vet Mall! Look, the place has been here for years and you know what you're getting when you come here. Its never busy, they keep it spotless and it's a great place to walk and do your laps :D Payless Shoes, Mandees, an Antique Store and Novelty shop... even a new comic store just opened. A big AC Moore is also at one end. Hopefully something useful can go into the old spot where Toys R Us just closed. Don't forget the amazing Agean Pizza! It's not the most happening mall... far from it... but there's useful shops and a clean, climate controlled place to walk and browse and shop. Don't dismiss it. read more

I remember going to Sun-Vet as a kid and it was a pretty busy place.... Well those days are long over. I decided to stop in when I happened to be passing by, it looks mostly empty from the outside but I figured there may be some store inside, well there aren't. All you get in this mall is a small thrift store, a citi bank, a liquor store, a dentist office and a pizza place. So I did decide to try the pizza place, Aegean, which was actually pretty good. They have been there for years and are still sticking it out in this ghost town. The mall can't even be bothered to remove the PathMark signs that have been there since the store closed in 2015. It's a shame what has happened here. read more

Haha, this is my stoner teenage mall. This mall had the best pizza, a record store, game room, Rickle hardware, The Gap, and of all things, a head shop. My and my 17 year old buds would come to the game room, hang out and meet teenage girls. Best mall ever read more

This mall is AMAZING! It always has just what I need. I do all my shopping here. Floors are always spotless and even has its own security guard. I haven't located the soda machine yet but there are a lot of grounds to cover. read more

I think I have an obsession with dead malls. Maybe it's the nostalgia feeling? It's like I'm back in the mid 90s only now I have a job and can ACTUALLY buy things. I went to 3 places which I will be reviewing. I'll be back for sure. Honestly if they hipster it up (like a previous review said) and add popular stores then it'll be great. Dead Mall. The Antique place has some interesting things. Now there are 3 similar stores in the mall? The snack bar is closed. No Anchor stores left? Not sure how the Inline business will ever survive here? I agree with previous review You won't spend any money here and will actually save money. read more

I give it 5 stars because there is nothing to even review. This mall has like 2 stores. It is just a giant deserted hallway since 1979. Huge parking lot, always can get a spot. They have a funny Twitter account also. The best parts of this mall is a nice bench, a carousel. Pizza. I don't think anyone owns the mall or even works here. read more

I personally like this mall because I can go to a few stores (ones I've planned one going too of course) and I can shop peacefully and quietly. It's actually relaxing to know that you won't be overwhelmed. It is a shame not many stores are here, but it definitely has some pros to it as well. read more

This place is like the Monty Python skit where John Cleese goes into a cheese shop but no matter what kind of cheese he asks for, they don't have it. No matter what store you thought you were going to visit here....they're out of business. Toys-r-Us, Kid City, Radio Shack, Pathmark, Tuesday Morning, A.C. Moore, Dollar King, Pancake Cottage, Blockbuster Video, Payless Shoe Source, Hallmark Cards, Mandee, McCrorys.........gone. Even Green Cloud Kung Fu is ........gone! If you ever want to experience what its like walking around a mall at 2 am in the morning after all the stores have closed, you can experience that any time of the day here. Its pretty much just Citibank, the fabulous Aegean Pizza, Lucille Roberts, Red Wing Shoes and Emerald City Collectibles. I have an account with Citibank and sometimes after I make my deposit I like to take a lonely stroll through this apocalyptic ghost town of a mall. No mall monsters here, just a few stragglers like myself with stunned expressions at all the vacancies. Sad to pass a place like Pancake Cottage that still has all the tables and chairs in place but no batter and no sausage links. Hope Sun-Vet can turn it around. Sun-Vet has an epic Twitter account that knows the score. Maybe if Trader Joe's decides that their current 2 stores in Suffolk county (shoehorned about 15 minutes away from each other as the car drives) are not enough, they will consider the almost cult-like status Sun-Vet mall as a new location. read more

This is just a sad mall. A lot of empty stores. This place at one time was hopping. Now I just feel sad walking around there. So empty. The merchants that are there look like they are starving for customers. I wish them all they luck because most of them are great stores. read more

I've come to this mall for a while to get shoes at Payless or go grocery shopping. This is a small,outdated,vacant mall. I wouldn't recommend going here. Only if you come for a store. They have a nice nail place,jewelry store,Payless,hallmark,path mark and a few other things. read more
