This Target is always busy. Usually it is clean and well stocked. Any interactions I've had with employees have always been pleasant. Parking can be tricky at times but the pick up area is usually quick and the delivery workers are efficient. When this store first opened I stayed away, mainly because of all the social media jokes about Target (and Walmart). I finally went In because I was looking for something and an online search showed that Target was about the only place I'd find it (it was an inexpensive screen protector for the Apple Watch 4). I was actually sort of impressed by how clean and well laid out the store was, with excellent lighting. Subsequently I started wandering other sections of the store, and there are now several items where I'll use this Target in preference to my favorite supermarkets and "big box discount" stores. It's a temptation to take a star off my rating because things are being rearranged. But I'll cut them some slack... they are renovating BEFORE the store gets a run down seedy look Oh! Forgot to mention, so far in using the store for something like 4 years, I have found every employee I've dealt with friendly, courteous and helpful! If I have one real negative? It is the layout of the checkout registers. There are two rows. To my eye it looks like the intent is for there to be one line for each pair of registers that line up with each other. Today several customers did not see it that way... I was in line where the near register was closed and a customer being rung up on the one beyond. While waiting, an employee opened the first register. Some -expletives deleted- wheeled past me and the guy ahead of me and essentially cut the line. Coronavirus Alert!! This store is proactive against the virus. Employees entirely wipe off the carts of shoppers entering the front door. An employee made an announcement on the microphone, stating that while shopping we are to maintain at least a six-foot distance from other shoppers and employees. There are "X"s marked on the floors all over the store that serve as a distance guide. The checkout line starts where the towels and linens are. Employees stand around and tell shoppers which check out counter number to go to. My number was 8. The cashier wiped off the surveyor belt after I paid for my items. Suggestion: wear disposable gloves when paying by card. I left mine in the car. From now on, I will keep some in my handbag. I am impressed with how organized this store is. Most times, I order on line and my husband picks up. Tonight I wanted to go inside to pick up a few things that might be new. Bad decision. Just as the last time, there were only 2 riding carts for handicapped shoppers, and they were not in order "charged". Come on Target....you can do better. Every bone in my body hurts from giving you another try. Guess you just don't care. On the plus side, your employees are polite and very helpful. At least you got something right! read more

My favorite target to shop at in the area. I like the layout and typical selections here. Doesn't feel as cramped as other Targets. It can get pretty busy during peak hours and the parking lot can get just as wild because of the light to get out of there. read more

I have done curbside at this location a few times but today(8/8) I ran here on two separate occasions. The woman who helped me this afternoon was extremely upbeat and friendly which is a nice change when going into places. I had to come back a second time at 7 and the two guys who helped me in electronics were extremely helpful. I just purchased a camera and needed help on a memory card. I am so happy they were there so I could walk out with the correct item! I also did not know they had cameras ! I much rather have purchased it here instead of the original store I went to which allowed me to walk out with the wrong memory card! read more

I have to agree with some of the negatives of this store. First off, they need to address the garbage issue. While the store itself inside is clean, the outside corner by Broadway has clearly become much more littered since Target opened. We were excited as a family to have a more local Target to shop at... however it's been a disappointment. It's not easy to find a deal, they make using coupons and taking advantage of discounts way more complicated than it should be, it took them forever to put in self-checkout (but at least they finally did), and the checkout process is almost always understaffed and unpleasant. I've actually started to make it a habit to avoid this store. If it were packed busy all the time I'd cut them some slack, but as far as I can tell they certainly aren't the busiest Target in the area; They are clearly just a store that needs to get its act together. read more

Pretty much your run-of-the-mill Target. It's on the newer side of Targets, so it is pretty nice, not necessarily run down as you find at some other locations. The stock sometimes runs low/runs out of somethings and it is often in a state of disarray, but this is definitely the busiest Target in the area, so I can imagine it would be pretty hard to keep up with the mess, but I also imagine Target can afford to hire more people than I usually see on the floor. I don't see staff here slacking off, so the only solution would be to have more people on staff. The lines here, as you can guess, are pretty long if you go during the day, and even when I went at night, they only had two cashiers, so there was still a line. Even the self-checkout here usually has a line. This location has great staff, but there's definitely a shortage of them that has this place usually looking like a mess. Stock is usually alright, can be hit or miss on some typical items, like sodas. read more

I consider myself a target enthusiast and this is the most disappointing target I have ever been to. Every time I come here, nothing is in stock, the bathrooms are trashed, the lines are ridiculous and there's garbage everywhere. Went to here at 8:50 pm because says it closes at 10pm. I walked around and picking things out. wanted to try things on and it was 9:31 and was told the dressing rooms close at 9:30 yet there is no signage or anything about this. I then asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager Maxine's was too busy to speak to me. there's no signage about anything closing before 10pm. i was in the store clearly could have went to the dressing room before 9:30 if i had known. and it was 9:31 that i was told no. Drove 20 mins to find out they didn't have what I wanted in stock. But David who was stocking the products in the aisle I was in was sooooo helpful. He didn't just point and tell me where it would be. He actually went in the back to look for me, asked other associates, and even walked up front with me to see if the product was up there. I love target as much as anyone else. However, I have never dealt with such rude customer service in my life. The account manager and representative was a pompous, arrogant a-hole. He was not knowledgeable and not helpful at all. I made a return that was never refunded back to my account. When I asked if they could at least issue store credit he said "no". So I left without my money and no resolution. When I explained to him the girl at the counter was going to issue store credit, his response was "well I'd like to think I'm of a higher employment status than her so my word so have more weight". Way to degrade your employees to a customer. Unbelievable- don't go to this target. There are so many nicer ones on Long Island with nice, knowledgeable people. read more

Awesome target! Recently my car side pickup was missing half the items and didn't realize til I got home. Guest services was apologetic and immediately found my missing items and gave me a courtesy discount for the inconvenience. But for the love of all things good please keep your masks on people. I am appalled by how many shoppers (in all stores) are walking around massless. Sadly this is why we are at such a high spike this season. Even if you know you are Covid negative you could be a carrier and there are people here just trying to make a living that you could be putting at risk. I personally would have liked to give the vaccine more time before getting it, but ran to get it in Sept as soon as they originally pulled the mask mandate. Know it's not 100% but have to protect as much as I can since coughing and sneezing all over the place seems to be a display of patriotism. Sad to know so many people are sick and not with their families this year. We could have looked out for ourselves better. read more

Sayville Target is the most disorganized,filthy and under stocked store I have ever seen. Prices average an average of 10% higher here than the S. Setauket store I drive 14 miles too at least twice a week. A store manager has NEVER been seen here. Not in our 4+ years of shopping here! Gross! read more

Not sure why this Target has such a bad rap. We've been coming here for almost two years now and while the dollar spot is frequently empty, if you get there at the right time you'll find quite a few gems. I've purchased online and picked up in store and never had an issue. The children's sections are always stocked and the game aisles are solid. It can be hard to find employees to ask for help but not impossible. I'd pick this location over Bay Shore any day. The clean Starbucks is a plus too! read more

To Whom It May Concern, On the evening of Thursday, July 25th, 2019, my husband and I visited our local Target at 5750 Sunrise Hwy in Sayville, NY to pick up diapers and wipes for our newborn son. I really shouldn't have even had him at a store yet as he was only 10 days old at the time, but we needed those items immediately and I figured it was late and we would be in and out. Boy was I wrong. So we headed to the baby section, which we are quite familiar with from our first son, who is now one years old and we purchase nearly ALL of our baby needs from your establishment. Saw this sign underneath the diapers I use for my son and thought, "Great! We'll put the gift card towards some other stuff we've been meaning to pick up." So we continued shopping and grabbed more baby items for both of our boys, including a big box of 596 Pampers Sensitive baby wipes which also had a sign underneath stating you would receive a gift card for purchasing that item. We also grabbed a pot set, a big file cabinet organizer and some groceries. We headed to the registers with what would have been a $100+ order and when the cashier finished ringing us I verified we would be receiving the two gift cards for the diaper and wipes purchases. She said it didn't come up so I showed her the sign. She agreed with us that according to the sign it looks like it should come up and she didn't see anything that matched in your weekly circular so she called over the managers. The managers didn't even read the sign we showed them and dismissed us as needing to purchase two of each item in order to receive the gift cards according to a DIFFERENT sale in the circular. When we pointed out that the sale they were referring to was for different items and the signage in no way indicated you had to purchase more than one of each item (these were not small items, they were bulk boxes of diapers and wipes), they basically said too bad and walked away. They were condescending, dismissive and rude and frankly seemed to enjoy telling us we would not be receiving the gift cards and they would do nothing for us. This prompted us to put back ALL of our items and leave the store that we easily spend at least $5000+ at each year all over what probably would have been $10 in store gift cards. As someone who has worked in customer service and sales most of her life (as does my husband) we were shocked and appalled at not just the baiting and outright false advertising of the posted signage, but the lack of sympathy and understanding from management and the unwillingness to do anything to keep a customer. That is pathetic and unbecoming of a corporation as large as yours. Due to this incident (and a few others like it), my family and I can no longer spend our money at this establishment or any of your others and will ensure our large network of extended family and friends (who also have young children) hear about the way Target treats their regular customers and lies about sales. We are sorry to have to do this as we were very loyal, frequent shoppers for SO many of our household needs and Target is closer than WalMart or another similar business but the way we were treated was absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. After driving to 3 different locations because no one answered the phones and upon arrival at each store it was slow and overhearing associates at each stores excited that the store was slow. 2 out of the three ran out of the codes and couldn't provide them any more as they ran out. I go to try and retrieve a code that was suppose to be distributed to customers from October 30- November 12 but was told they could only give them out on November 12 as directed from higher management even when going to the manufacturer website that they are suppose to distribute them starting on Oct 30. TL Chris kept stating he had to scan the barcode and the system wouldn't allow him to give them out and he would get him in trouble. As one of my close friends works at target as a lead he advised me that they don't have to scan the cards they are distributing . Was advise by TL Chris to come back Nov 12 to get the code and I stated back yes because that's the last day to receive the code. read more

I love this Target. It is clean, stocked well and they have strict standards for keeping meat fresh. The produce is as fresh as any other stores and the store is always neat and clean. They do have good deals and use Cartwheel for even more, if you don't already! The Dollar Spot is great for cute decor, items for the kids and some fun stuff. Central Islip Target is the one to stay away from. I use to love it. I am over 50 and work as a vendor for American Greetings. I was in the store at 8 am and shopped right after, checking out about 9:30 am. I decided to use the self checkout and was the only person at it while a young girl decided to watch my every move. She could clearly see I scanned each item yet she continued to watch me and then had me checked at security to see if I stole anything. I will no longer shop at that store! read more

Hey what's up - I'm here on this beautiful island and from San Diego .. I have to deduct a star from this target as their is garbage sprinkled throughout the parking lot out front. It out a bad taste in my mouth before I even walked in. It's an eye sore. So, without saying to target to pick it up- how about all ya'll shoppers freakin stop littering your damn butts everywhere and not be lazy. I shop in San Diego, and this target was very similar - I love that. Props to target for definitely using some common sense and making it so people from another coast don't have to hunt the store over to find some lotion or a greeting card. An ok Target. Convenient parking and a bike rack. Nice spacious aisles and clean. Not especially inexpensive but easy shopping. Can't find an employee anywhere to help you though. So you need to be able to reach things yourself which can be a challenge for short me. Some of he hanging women's shirts were way out of reach. And the check outs are very under staffed with 75% not being open, so long lines. read more

This target is such a let down, which is a shame because it's the closest to me. The dollar section is my favorite because of all the cute and cheap home decor, paper goods etc. for each holiday/season. But PLEASE restock!!!!!! That section is ALWAYS empty. Clearly people love those items so maybe you should order the items accordingly. Over the past 4 months they've had the same exact products in stock for home decor. Need to add new items into the mix to keep repeat customers interested, especially within a span of 4 months. It's clear that target is competing with home goods and TJX stores because of their rustic type items and expanded home decor options, but tjx stores always have new things. Keeping up with the demand will keep you in line with the competition, and will also increase customer visits/spending ! Get with the program Target! read more
