This is a very nice store with an eclectic mix of everything old. If you are going to shop in the store, just know that the people who work there may follow you around like you are a jewel thief. Maybe I look shady, but it happens to me every time I go there. Also, the prices are all retail so you're not gonna get any bargains, but you will be able to get niche items that you don't really see. So it's like a high-end garage sale with higher prices and staff who think you might be shoplifting. read more

I've been to this place a few times and even bought a few items. It's very big and has an extensive inventory of all things old and not so old. Someone from a group I belong to mentioned that the owner will buy just about anything 'antique' so I brought in three items / signs to hang on the wall. One was a Budweiser glass bar sign that needed cleaning, one was a fabric map of Long Island that also needed cleaning and one was a large nautical themed item with TITANIC on it. The owner said with the cleaning involved he could give me $30 for all three. My late husband acquired these so I had no idea what they were worth, I counted on being give a fair price. I went into the store today and there was the Titanic sign hanging up with a price of $175 needless to say I was not pleased and left without the item I had intended to buy. So if you're looking for a bargain you may get it there but I'd caution anyone to be careful about selling anything there. I am a vintage/thrift store addict and this spot definitely satisfied my craving for nostalgia. My cousin and I made it a point to check it out after seeing one of my favorite vintage resellers rave about the wide selection of jewelry, clothing, knick knacks, glass, kitsch and more! Our first visit and we will definitely be back. We browsed only half of the shop before hunger and my arthritic knee said "enough". Multiple vendors offering varied items make for a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. There are many vendors throughout the store aisles to take your found treasures to the front to hold. Some people might be put off by that but it probably cuts down on items being put into the wrong booth if you don't want them. I didn't mind, and found it helpful to free up my hands. Prices are decent and some booths had sales on ranging 20% off anything in the booth to 50% off select items. This is one of the biggest vintage/ antique markets I've found on Long Island. Awesome antique market with many unusual finds, right here in Oakdale. It's the largest antique center on Long Island and has tons of interesting clothes, books, toys and furniture, etc. It's so much fun to spend an hour or two just walking around and looking at all the really cool vintage items. THIS PLACE IS SO COOL. Seriously! I love looking at old items. I could spend my entire day searching for treasures and filling my house. There is so much to look at and the staff are all extremely friendly. Initially, I didn't quite understand how it worked until a gentleman came over and gave us a ticket, taking a few items to the front to hold on to. Checkout was easy, and the staff were all giving my picks compliments and joking about the sled I was bringing home. It's organized by vendor. Some have their own collections of particular items such as baseball cards, jewelry, housewares, all the way to items you'd find at a street fair. Prices are absolutely higher than, say, thrift stores but could be reasonable depending on the item. You won't find garage sale deals or collectors items like vintage Pyrex here for less than $50 (same as Etsy/Ebay) but you may find some unexpected goodies. Unsure if anything is negotiable. Here are a few items that received a new home (and hopefully saved from a dumpster): Antique wooden sled (I have plans for some sweet x-mas decor!) - $10 Cornflower corning-ware teapot - $20 Milk glass deviled egg holder - $16 It was CROWDED on a Sunday afternoon, but I expect that's prime shopping time for them. Customers are now followed around the store by vendors eyeballing you...they ask to "hold your items up front" we kindly said no thank you...they don't take no for a answer!! This has to be one of my favorite antique and thrift stores on Long Island. We often go just to browse around and see all the latest blasts-from-the-past that have been added. From smalls to furniture, they have so much, and the variety of vendors is astonishing. It's a big place! They pretty much have something from everyone. From retro video games that don't seem so long ago to antique furniture from another era, it's a great experience to walk around and take in everything they have to offer. And as a lover of all things old and strange, I rarely leave empty handed. Toys, knick-knacks, dolls and action figures, dressers and chairs and tables from the past, board games and jewelry and old vinyl record players, there was even an antique (and creepy) dentists cabinet I would have loved to buy if I had the room. And their prices are on point, with many vendors willing to listen to your offers (though it may take some patience and a phone call). I've bought a lot of gems, old toys, antique phones and even a full size mannequin. Seriously I love this place :D read more

What a cool little place (I say little but it's actually quite large)! A journey to Sayville prompted a spur-the-moment stop at this antique store. We walked in and only regretted stopping by so close to closing time! This place has SO many antiques that you could easily spend hours in here and still have antiques left to uncover. So what exactly does this place have to offer? My goodness where do I even begin? In addition to the tradition antique furnishings, you'll find old-fashioned items and sundries for your kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, garage, front lawn, car, you name it! Just to name a few random things I encountered here, you'll find old comic books, handmade salt-and-pepper shakers, classic signs, light fixtures, historic toys (from just about every decade), and much more! Again, this place is huge and the items randomly organized, so you could easily spend hours in here. Just in case you get lost and can't find an item you might be looking for, there's also 2-3 staff members walking around to help you find what you need. The checkout process here is unique as well (no USP codes so all inventory is recorded manually). It's also great that this place offers complimentary wrapping to keep those fragile items secure! My wife and I ended up purchasing a few fun items to take home and display in our living room. We'll be sure to be back again for more exploring! read more

I went here to buy Dixie Bell chalk paint and have been hooked ever since. I visit at least once a week now just to browse. I always seem to find a little or sometimes big treasure. I don't understand some of the previous reviews - they take the stuff up front for you so you can continue shopping and use your hands to browse through items, duh. A fun place! This is the second year we went here after Mother's Day brunch and it's a great place to walk around if you are into old and unique things. I actually bought a table there last year. The prices vary from cheap to expensive. And the place is packed with merchandise!! Merchandise of all kinds: from jewelry to clothing to furniture to knick -knacks. This is a MULTI-DEALER antique center. As such ALL THE PRICES are "on the nose" or a tad higher. NO BARGAINS for PICKERS or re-sellers. Zero. It's as if God was sitting there with a Price Guide to Antiques and Collectibles when he created this place. And HE did not miss a thing (not even that $15.00 Nixon button or that old box of Dixie Cups from 1955 for $22.00 ) . I can go on and on and on ...... However- it's CRAMMED full of stuff ranging from amazing vintage decorative objects to , well, Nixon buttons and old Dixie cups. If you are comfortably retired, with a nice pension check and an empty house and have a taste for vintage objects - DO come here and spend a few hundred dollars here--every weekend. As for the rest of us schmucks -- it's back to garage sales and thrift stores . BONUS: This place hosts an OUTDOOR flea market during the summer: I scored BIG there 2 weeks ago! It's not very big - but there are people with stuff for cheap or fair prices . The next show is JULY 26. Call for details . P.S. The people that work here are very nice - so there's that. Came in yestetday. Man with items in hand exiting store. We entered and were immediately told by woman in front to wait outside. Store will open in a few mins. Frigid cold temp. Really? Overall layout is well organized and clean. Majority of vendors were overpriced and non existent or present day i came. Glass cabinets were locked. In store staff not enough to man floor. Bought a few items and left. Prob not coming back. Not a good expierence from moment i walked in door. read more

One of my favorite antique shops on Long Island! There is a wide variety of vendors and prices. Since it is a multi-dealer shop there is usually not much room for negotiating, but the staff will almost always offer to call the dealer to ask. Most of the booths are set up nicely, some re-stocked more often than others. read more

My oh MY! I can't believe i've gone so long without knowing this place exists. Very large, filled with unique treasures, friendly staff. My favorite section was the little vintage clothing section & the booth with the medical oddities. I left here with a jumpsuit from the 1960s, a funeral reciept from 1916, and an arterial embalming fluid bottle from the early 1900s. Wicked. I'm surprised at the gentleman's post. Store hours are store hours regardless of store. Oh I just love Remember Yesteryears. I find so many bargains and my girlfriend has decorated her kitchen with probably 30 items from the store. The prices are very very reasonable when you compare their prices to other antique and vintage stores. I shop monthly and I'm amazed at how many new items are in that store. I tell people buy it when it's there because it may not be there the next time you're there. The staff at the register does a great job the weekends can get very hectic and they keep their cool and they're nice to the customers. I can't tell you enough how you need to stop in and visit that store because you will come back. read more

This is my second time visiting this place, the first time was great, both times I made purchases. They have some nice things but some of it is overpriced. On my second visit I decided to buy a dining table, I was told by the gentleman that he had everything for the table including the hardware; not true, then he gave a story that he couldn't find the screws. I agreed to take the table without the screws, the table has a leaf that I really didn't take a look at but when I went home I realized that the leaf didn't match the table the base looks like It doesn't match the table either, because its pretty low when you sit. Be aware to inspect your pieces before you buy them because everything in this store is final sale; which they don't tell you, but supposedly is on a sign by the register. I guess is my fault because I trusted the dealer and didn't inspect the merchandise properly. I will not be returning. read more
