A gentleman (I'm sorry I did not get his name) helped me unlock a bag and took it to the checkout counter. Once there, Jessica was friendly and helpful. She took the time to look up my Nordstrom rewards and apply them to my purchase. All departments are fully stocked and waiting for bargain shoppers like me. I find Nordstrom Rack prices exceptional for high end merchandise. Their in house brands are comparable and also provide good value. Although the lines were long and I feel they could use an extra register or two, it was a rewarding experience. No matter where I ended up at in this store there was someone right there. I felt like it was someone in every department of the store (which is how it should be). The store was organized very well. Towels and wash clothes folded neatly, not tossed around. I found everything I was looking for and more. The lines was extremely long but they moved so fast that I didn't have any time to actually think about how long the line was. My checkout girl was awesome, I can't remember her name but she was very friendly. On another occasion I came back to return somethings and one of the item didn't have a price tag. I kid you not every other Marshall I have been to made me go back to find that item with a price tag so they can give me refund. When I mentioned to her that I will go find one and bring it back she looked at me as if I was crazy and said No, you will do no such thing. I'm like it only take a few seconds, I know exactly where I got it. She starts laughing and says NO. Wrote up everything and gave me a refund, and apologized for taking long. With the Long Island Indian Summer, dropping down to the cool northeast weather, I could use a new jacket that would be sufficient for the Long Island Fall weather and the Las Vegas winter. So driving from Mount Sania to the Lake Ronkonkoma area, we stopped by Kohl's. Walking into Kohl's I was mentally wearing my nostalgia jacket. The Kohl's building brought back the decades of memories of patronizing Brent City in the 1980s, then Cheap John's and Caldor's in the 1990s. Inside the present Kohl's, my mental focus was in October 15, 2026 deciding on the right jacket. A few feet to the left of the west entrance, I browsed through the satisfactory selection of jackets. There were moments where it was considered using Amazon. Then a Zeroxposur jacket caught my eyes. When I tried it on, it felt just right. In the process of looking for the jacket, there was a detour to the restroom which is in the back right of Kohl's. This is worth mentioning because the walk exposed my eyes to a large amount of the store. I noticed a Sephora in the front center, ironically an Amazon return center in the back right, several square feet of apparel, home goods, and general merchandise. Kohl's was on the ball in running a well kept department store. Unlike Ross, for example, clothes were nearly organized and the setting was polished. On the other hand, Kohl's was behind the ball in the check-out line process. The way the East Setauket Kohl's checkout process works is that customers funnel through a cue aligned with impulse merchandise to the registers. When we were on line there was minimal movement. This prompted trying out the self checkout terminals. They were ineffective. Back to the line. Now the line started to move. Christina processed our transaction. This leads into the pricing. The jacket was a solid value. However, Christina encouraged signing up for the Kohl's card to save additional money. This brought the Zeroxposur jacket price significantly down, making it a good deal. My latest memory of a building that dates back to visiting Brent City as an elementary school student in the early 1980s is a satisfactory experience in its latest incarnation Kohl's. The store would be cleaner if.. 1. Customers picked up after themselves. 2. Corporate wasn't cheap and hired more people. The biggest annoyance with working Burlington was that they never had cashiers, so all of the floor associates would be ringing half/most of their shift and then barely had time to clean up! It was ridiculous! (and annoying since I HATED ringing) After the pandemic, they put up fake walls and the place is now much smaller and apparently they only have two people on the floor at a time. It looks like they finally hired more cashiers, but they pretty much got every Full Timer on the floor to quit, which is so rude. Honestly, just go to the Newly opened one in Farmingville. It's much nicer. What to expect if you want to work there, 1. Expect to be put in every department and help other departments. 2. You will most likely have to learn how to ring especially if you're on the floor. 3. It's not a good place for Full-timers anymore since they got rid of them all! (I left at the right time in 2018) 4. Lowest raise I got was 2 cents, the highest raise I got was 1.50, and that was before minimum wage was about to go up. Also raises don't carry over, so if you make 13 an hour and you get a 25 cent raise, but next year minimum wage goes up to 14 an hour. You get paid 14 an hour and not 14.25. etc.. It's not cool!! 5. If you want a career with burlington, the only hope is to become a manager, but you really have to show them you're down for it. 6. The hours are ridiculous, one day you close and get home at 12 am, the next day they want you in at 7am! Walking around a giant department store tires you out and you're "Wired" for hours, it's practically impossible to fall asleep right away! But as much as I hated the place, It holds a special place in my heart. It's filled with cheap things and despair! I'm giving 5 stars to combat the Karens that already reviewed this location lol

It's the customer service. The first few times I have been here, the only person I have seen working there are the cashier. I can never find anyone of the floor to ask for help. I never see anyone stocking items or fixing the racks. My last visit is what forced me to write this review. I waited in line for 15 min I was next online and they only had one cashier, after she finished ringing up the customer they started having a personal relationship about having son's in the Marines. I'm like are you serious. Then suddenly it was like I saw a ghost, another staff member came from no where and said miss I will ring you up next. I'm was so grateful for him.
