I ordered a house full of furniture. Dining table arrived very damaged. It was a store model but her delivery service damaged it. After calling for a year she finally gets the delivery and does not return my phone calls. Also couches shed feathers continually. Very disappointed with the customer service. read more

Debbie does not live up to her word. We bought four outdoor lounge chairs. Debbie delivered them when we were not home. From the cameras on our property, they were unboxed, unwrapped, and showed signs that they might have been display lounges with several nicks and scraps. Debbie said she would reorder them. That was August, it is now December, called twice and left messages for Debbie, no response. The real shame of this is that we just built a new home and are in need of a house full of furniture. If the owner cares anything about the business then they might want to spoon feed the sales girls some humble pie. These days with everything online, retail customer service is vital. Every customer that walks through the door should feel welcomed. Unfortunately this is not the case here. No greeting, no, can I help you?, not a peep. The sales girl-skinny brunette - was a serious snob. So much so that I felt such a strong negative vibe as I was leaving. Again, no have a good day. If I got that at least, I might have given them a second chance. I mean really. Basic common retail service. I've encountered some quiet sales associates in other brick and mortar establishments but not to this level. Never leave reviews but I could not let this one pass, it was THAT bad. Shame to push away a potential buyer just because of a snobby negative attitude coming from the staff. Also note: was most likely going to buy a good amount of clothing, but as I got to the dressing room, I realized I was so completely turned off by the vibe in there and left empty handed. read more

This business doesn't have their return policy visible for the public. Not on their receipts, store signs, web page. ILLEGAL!! They only "offer" store credit for returns. They are also way overpriced. It's illegal not to have the refund policy obvious to the public. Warning: DO NOT SHOP AT RENEE's IN MATTITUCK, NY. Horrible customer service. I went looking for a certain pieces to fill a living room. I ordered three pieces. They told me that they had my sofa " in stock" and it would be delivered in a week. ONE month later I was still waiting! Every week I would call and every week they keep stringing me along. After finding a sofa somewhere else I asked for a complete refund and was told I could only get a Store credit. The owner was so rude and stopped returning my calls. I will NEVER shop there again! ( since I didn't get my furniture I had to dispute the order with Visa) It was a nightmare! read more

Fantastic experience from start to finish! I have furnished most of my apartment from Renee's and not only does Debbie have a fantastic eye, but she is always available to talk to and made me feel at ease during the whole process. I special ordered many pieces that I'm obsessed with and the delivery and set up made it feel very easy. They even helped me hang my TV so that it worked in harmony with the rest of the room. I just finished redecorating my living room with Shannon and Debbie at Renees. They helped me coordinate everything from fabrics, rug, wood color and pillows. I had started my redesign using a decorator who failed miserably. Debbie and Shannon truly swooped in and saved my project. The furniture in the showroom is gorgeous and the quality is outstanding. Shannon's eye for coordinating fabrics to achieve my modern farmhouse feel was great, she had vision and was so easy to work with through the entire project. I am writing this review to warn customers that the store does not allow refunds, and does not inform the customers of this policy prior to purchase. In general, the store is ok, probably a 3 star rating as they have some nice items but, in comparison to other stores offering similar items, this store is very over-priced. But I am giving a 1 star rating because a no refund practice despite prompt return with receipt is not common and usually stores indicate this policy prior to purchase, either verbally or in writing on a placard at the register. Renee's does neither but refuses to refund, so buyer beware. read more

What a horrible experience!!!!!!!! I tried to order a painting that the owner, debbie, said would come in 4 weeks. She asked for full payment in order to place the order. After 5 months and still no picture, i cancelled the order and ordered it myself online. The painting was delivered to my door in 5 weeks with free shipping. Her attitude was the worst part of the experience. She was rude and extremely unprofessional. read more

I spend a lot of money on clothes, live locally and want to like this store but just can't. Clothes are ok, mostly department store brands which is nice as there are no stores nearby. Eileen Fisher, Karen Kane, etc. However, they are just rude. You walk in, there is a very large desk, numerous people behind it, and they sort of look you up and down and keep talking. No good morning, can I help you. Leather goods very overpriced. I am at a point in my life where I just don't want to give my hard earned money to people who are rude. I want to shop locally and support local merchants but this store makes it very difficult. Arrogant. And I do not like a no return policy. If you are going to sell something, take it back. Also bought a couch there also about ten years ago. Did not hold up very well. read more

Great luxury department store for all your needs. Lovely place to shop local and get great service. The staff is always friendly and the owners are very nice as well. I do not agree with the previous reviews about the price and staff. I buy everything here from my clothes, to gifts for family and friends, to my couch. They have a wide variety of clothes and jewelry for all ages and in all price ranges. If you can't find a piece of furniture on site, they will order something for you. I love Renee's! I'm embarrassed to say, I end up buying something there almost every time I spend the weekend in Mattituck. The north fork doesn't have much in the way of shopping, but between Renee's & Mint on Love Lane, I can find a cute dress or a new pair of earrings in a hurry. The owner Debbie is really personable and all the ladies there are friendly and want to help. There are a LOT of clothes, so it is a bit like treasure hunting, but I always find something in my size that fits my style. Their jewelry is really fun, lots of interesting unique pieces. Great little clutches for any occasion. I don't spend much time in the formal area, but they have a considerable amount of long formal dresses as well if you are looking for something for a special event. I found my first Stop Staring! Dress at Renee's, which is something I'll always remember them for. I disagree with the previous comment that things are insanely overpriced. It's a nice boutique and a quality summer dress usually runs between $100 and $200. That is not outrageous. There is some very affordable jewelry, lots under $50, and often times they are running some kind of sale, like 20% off jewelry and bags. The return policy is store credit only but that has never bothered me, I always find something else I love. Chaps the men's store I have to say is quite expensive, but that is because they carry very high end men's apparel. There is also a big selection of home goods, from sofas to decorative sea shells. It's really a fun store to spend an hour or two. read more
