We were in Medford for a few days looking for a restaurant for breakfast and ran across OverEasy. It already had high reviews on Yelp and they certainly lived up to their reputation. While the menu was minimalist, everyone at the table agreed their food was delicious. If you go you must try their homemade habanero salsa which was sublime. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable but more importantly the staff was amazing. Service was fast and efficient and our server was SO sweet! The week before our trip I looked for brunch places close to where we were staying and Over Easy popped on the list, with great reviews. Luckily we got there, on a Saturday, right before rush time. We got one of the last tables outside, with an umbrella to protect us from the sun. Their menu changes constantly so even though I had looked at pictures here on Yelp, almost everything was new and took me a while to decide because, even though is a limited menu, a lot of the dishes sounded amazing. But finally decided on their Omelet which had cheese, caramelized onions, apples, and a delicious potato pancake underneath. The sweet and savory combination was perfect for me. And the portion great to keep you full for a while. I also loved all the mimosa variations they offer either by the glass or pitcher, and they have interesting cocktails all for $10 and non-alcoholic spritzers for only $5. This is a really fun place. Very friendly service. I had the mushroom and Gruyère quiche which came with a tasty peppery salad. I also got the strawberry cinnamon roll. I was a little mixed on this one. The fresh strawberry frosting was delightful, but the pastry itself was was a little dry and needed more cinnamon; the frosting overpowered it. We came to Over Easy on Saturday, April 9 at about 11am with a party of six. This was our first ever visit to Over Easy for all of us. I expected it to be much busier; however, it possibly was not because of all the activities going on at the nearby Pear Blossom festival. We had an excellent experience. The staff worked together to make sure that our table was satisfied and was always checking in on us. I had the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich with Seasoned Fries, which was a hefty portion of chicken with a great aioli, cheese, pickled onions and cabbage. Yum! I also had a Blood Orange Megamosa. Thank you Over Easy for making it possible to do a Mimosa plus-sized for us people that just want a little more! Loved this idea. Long time Medford resident, first time at this establishment. ....and I must say, wow. To keep this straight forward let me list what was great about Over Easy: 1. Amazing service- both employees that interacted with me were friendly, helpful, insightful, attentive and had personality. Everything you'd want in a server/bartender. 2. Mimosas---wow. So many choices of flavors, out of the three that I enjoyed, all of them met the mark. (the 3rd one I got was a "secret menu staff favorite, and man, it was the best one!) I told staff "dealers choice" for 2/3 cocktails, which was fun! Perfectly crafted. 3. I did have a coffee. I know this is a simply thing, but 10 points to Gryffindor for good tasting, hot coffee. 4. The food. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. Now I must tell you, I am a self proclaimed "biscuits and gravy connoisseur". Without using too many profanities to express my enjoyment, *&^%$##$%%^^%$## they were good. The chef changes the menu often (I personally love a rotating menu. Keeps things fresh and fun, exciting!) and I was lucky enough to enjoy the pepper jack, bacon and cream corn gravy version. What the heck. Out of this world! As a chef of 10 years myself, I can appreciate the little things; the details. The love put into each dish here is phenomenal. 5. The atmosphere was cozy, cute and almost, nostalgic. I'm a sucker for nostalgia; I mean, who isn't? From the little details of the checkered silverware wrap, to the 50's style logo/sign. Situated in a little nook off of Main street, downtown Medford, the slight breeze and the sway of the leaves on the tree next to my table just added to the magic. On top of all the great qualities I just listed, today was a gorgeous day, which definitely added to the experience. Perfectly sunny, with the breeze to cool things off......But I can also imagine a cozy rainy day sitting inside, with a book, cup of coffee and good eats. The food and drinks will not only leave you feeling full and satisfied, but happy. That's the magic. That's what defines a place. It leaves you looking forward to the next visit. Visiting from out of town and tried Over Easy for breakfast. This little place was great. We inhaled our food and forgot to take pictures because it was so good. I had the Gruyère biscuits with a mushroom gravy and scrambled eggs. Holy moly, right up my alley and worth the bread splurge. My husband had the Plain Jane with bacon, eggs, Avocado slices, micro greens and sourdough toast. He loved it and said it was just right. I also had the lavender latte, and that was super good. Amazingly delicious food!!! Everything here was meant to be put together on one plate! The food took a little long to come out but was worth the wait. I also want to mention that ordering the gluten free bread - the size of the tune melt was made to the same size as non-gluten free sandwiches even though they needed to use 2 more pieces of bread. Sooo I've had my receipt from this spot on my desk for NO JOKE 4 months! I promised a 5-star review because I had the best experience here and (dang it) I keep my promise so here we go! I was helped and greeted with warm smiles by Jordan, Karissa, and Steph. I was visiting the area and wanted to grab some food to go. I ordered the curry egg dish (just trust me and get it) - it was unique and something I can't make at home so that's always fun to get something new and tasty. Given how many restaurants we've tried in this area, I think this is one of the best options. Locally owned too versus another chain. It can get a little busy, with long lines, but they have worked out a nice notification system and the wait is worth it. I found their menu to be limited but the food was delicious. We were informed that they change the menu often and for that day, there was less than 6 options for breakfast. Yum! Even with their limited (ever changing) menu there is something for all taste levels. I like creative, tasty combination and my husband is a traditionalist. I had the chilaquiles (sort of a breakfast nacho dish) and he had the plain Jane (eggs, bacon, toast). The coffee is an excellent local medium roast from Case in Ashland brewed strong and served hot.
