Went to the Phoenix location YEARS ago and decided to finally try the only close to our house. Place was probably half, less than half full. Which seemed nice since it was Sunday morning and every where you go has a wait. Husband ordered the banana but French toast. We were surprised how bland and not sweet it was. I ordered the Chilaquiles. They were just okay. The chicken had that precooked leftover chicken flavor. I know most restaurants prep cook some things in advance. Like maybe if the chicken was precooked in the ranchero sauce, that would have been good. But it had its own individual blandness to it. They prob use the same chicken in other dishes. But I don't know. Scrambled eggs were way over cooked. They were super rubbery We had the waffle dogs. They were too porky. But ok. Service was good. But yeah maybe I'm just picky. A group of friends meet here regularly for Monday morning breakfast. The service has always been outstanding, especially with the circumstances of our group. We don't know if we are going to be 2 people or 12 most days. Some people want something light or just coffee, or there are people like me who want everything on the menu! We get service with a smile always! My favorites are the waffle dog (a must!), jalapeño biscuits and gravy, and any of their many avocado toasts. I've tasted my friend's nut banana french toast and it is delicious! The portion is so big, I know I would never bee able to finish it! The interior is bright and cheery. We had our first experience here last weekend, and I can't wait to return! We were seated right away and given menus. Our waiter was a bit off putting...I'm not really sure what it was, he just seemed stand-offish when we asked a few questions about items on the menu. He also never refilled our waters. He also asked if we'd like eggs, hasbrowns, or toast but didn't tell us they cost extra, which seemed a little "car dealership" salesy to me. The food was great. I had avocado toast with sausage and bacon on top. I ordered one egg on the side, which was ~$1.75 extra for a tiny little scrambled egg. That seemed a little ridiculous to me, but the avo toast was delicious. My husband ordered the jalapeño cheddar biscuits and gravy, and this was the real star of the show. Oh man, those biscuits are good. The gravy is quite bland, but the jalapeño cheddar biscuits are full of flavor. Maybe that's the point. If it were just regular biscuits, it would be rather disappointing, flavor wise. I would highly recommend this dish though - we will be returning ASAP to have it again! I wish some of these entrees offered sides - neither my husbands or mine came with hash browns, eggs, etc. I guess that's just what I've come to expect from breakfast joints, but if I'm paying $11 for two slices of avocado toast, or $10 for biscuits and gravy, it would be nice I to have eggs on the side at no extra cost (and such an expensive cost, at that.) I actually use to drive pass Over Easy in their Phoenix location but it was right next to the grocery store and I wasn't sure about it but I did like the sign. A few nights ago I was bored and looked up DDD on YouTube for places in Arizona since I'm new here. We went to the Gilbert location looked huge on the outside. It was a 45 minute wait for 2. Love the yellow and Turquoise colors, comfy seats, lots of waiters, bus boys everywhere. Did see lots of empty seats. Our waitress was so cute and friendly but only took our order and gave us our bill, someone else brought us our food and someone else took our plates. It took forever to get our waitress because I wanted a to go box. I ordered what I saw on DDD the Banana Nut French Toast, in that episode a young man said it was very sweet so that is what I was expecting NOT. In that episode it came with whole pecans NOT. I didn't even get enough caramel sauce it only covered half of my order. The hubby had ham steak it was pretty good but you can't mess up ham it always has flavor. The English Muffins where huge but soft under cook, he's eggs look pretty. Our coffee is that unique flavor lots of Arizona Coffee Shops have but I'm not a fan of. I hate water and they serve HUGE glasses of water with pretty yellow straws. The coffee mugs where cool matched the décor. I also order a side of hash browns not crispy enough, kind of mushy. I made the mistake of putting Cholula Hot Sauce on them it was to thick for Cholula and had an aftertaste it ruined my hash browns. I cook and so does my hubby and I went here because they said most things are fresh not frozen but if I can make and cook better than where I'm eating without the 45 minutes than I would rather cook myself. I figured the Gilbert location might not be the one try, so I think I will give it one more try but at a different location and try something else on the menu before I fully rule it out. read more

Eaten here a few times. Service is consistently good, love that they serve Press coffee, and have a dog friendly patio. So far I've had the Protein Avo Toast (delicious, bacon is cooked extra crispy and I added a basted egg which just made the dish perfect!), Chilaquiles (these were good but I've been spoiled by my hubby's authentic chilaquiles and nothing will ever compare), and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (to die for, perfectly fluffy, great lemon taste, just order them). And you have to try their Over Easy Iced coffee, it is divine! read more

Today, the hubby, 2 of our friends, & I tried this location of Over Easy for the very first time and we all had a great time. We started off with an order of Waffle Dogs, which are cooked sausage links of pork, dipped in waffle batter and deep-fried to a crisp golden brown. They look like your typical corn dog, as to their appearance, but they're covered with a little bit of powdered sugar and comes with a small side serving of syrup to dip the waffle dogs in or to pour on the waffle dogs...whatever your preference is. The drawback I found with this waffle dogs was the price. 3 of them for $8.50 seems a bit steep to me. Now had there been more, I could justify it. Our waiter was Ryan and he was great. He had our food out to us in a matter of minutes after ordering and was on the ball with refilling drinks and getting anything else we needed (ketchup, for example for the hash browns). I had the Wolfpack and had my eggs done the way I like them best: sunny side up...and this meal was SO GOOD! I would definitely order it again! The portion size was just right for me, as I am really trying to make a more conscientious effort on controlling my portions. I topped it off with a refreshing glass of iced tea and really enjoyed my meal! Everyone in our party enjoyed the ambience of this place. It was nice and quiet and not that full when we got there at 8:00. When we left an hour later, it had filled up, so we chose a very good time to get there. Next time, I will have to thy the Eggs Benedict or one of their varieties of French Toast. With so many choices on the menu, it's hard to decide on which one to try, but that's what is fun about going to a new place, plus there's always opportunity for return visits and I will DEFINITELY return! read more

This place was just okay. The best parts were the mimosa flight and homemade jam. Nate was also a very caring server and understands what good customer service truly is. The manager on shift doesn't belong in this industry. We had a major wait for our food (1 hour) and the manager came over and simply asked if we needed more drinks. He didn't even acknowledge the incredible delay in our food after the server let him know. No acknowledgement, no apology, nothing. Good food but the seem to have a completely different understanding of the phrase "over easy" when specifying how you want your eggs cooked. Do not dine in anymore due to COVID-19 concerns but today marks the 4th time I have placed orders to go. It also marks the 4th consecutive time they have gotten my requests wrong. Will continue to place my occasional order to go however I'm not leaving the place until I confirm my eggs are cooked correctly. I've gone to this location for a while. I remember it being decent, but hadn't been but twice since Covid. Prior to Covid, they had gluten free pancakes, taller glasses of orange juice and better prices. After Covid, seems the price rocketed for the same basic items, smaller portions, and lackluster service. Today, I spent just under $100 for 3 people, all we got was steak and eggs, a nacho dish and a pancake dish. A triple pancake of lemon and cheese is $13, a steak and egg plate is nearly $24, and nachos $15. Unreasonable for the serving sizes, service and flavor. My girlfriend and I spoke the same language upon leaving, I will no longer be a customer of OverEasy, in any location. read more

Guy Fiero featured this restuarant in his TV show Diner, Drives, and Dives. I didn't know this before I saw a Google maps recommendations. I was in need of a breakfast and Over Easy was only .9 of a mile from where I sit at that moment. So I turned into the parking lot, parked the car, and hobbled into a bright dinner space. The tables & chairs are bright yellow and white, the colors of their logo- an illusion to a fried egg. The walls are a teal blue, nicely in the background. The restaurant has plenty of light which is useful since the menu has a lot of choices, all fairly squished on double-sided 11 x 14 paper, the waitstaff were all nice and helped me realize there are good and pleasant people everywhere. I tend to stick with the same components when I review restaurants so I ordered 2 eggs over-easy, crispy rye, crispy bacon crispy hash browns. Food arrived in about 15 mins, ýummy coffee preceded my food order and was often refilled. They buy locally roasted beans, great choice. The food did not invoke an ahha momenrt but it wasn't bad, it just didn't scream out to me. The eggs'were still quite warm and runny, toast was crispy as were the bacon and has browns. And there is the homemade strawberry (or pineapple) jam. It was all good. Hungry for breakfast? Come on in and get you're hunger on! read more

Planned on going to a different restaurant for breakfast, but they were closed so we settled for here. As soon as we sat down, I noticed how dirty the floors. And let it be known it was 6:30 am when we arrived, right when the opened. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and my wife ordered the golden waffle dogs. My food came out and right on top was a nice long hair, courtesy of the cook. I told our waitress about it and she seemed upset that I would tell her about someone else's hair being in my food.... She took it back and then brought me out a new batch. However, it was cold and extremely bland. During our breakfast, my wife had to use the restroom. She told me that the lady's restroom was absolutely dirty, even though they had a sign off sheet that stated it was just cleaned. Then we get the bill and the waitress didn't even comp and of our order even though there was a hair in my food delaying our meal by 10mins. Overall, it's a lousy restaurant and there are multiple better options in the area. Go somewhere else. read more

Busy location and the food is pretty good. We went here for weekend brunch. We were told it would take 45 minutes to be seated but got a table in 15 (Yay). I was horrified after we sat down that they seated us at a table that hadn't been cleaned. The hostess pointed out our table and walked away. As we started to sit down I noticed crumbs, rings of condensation from cups, etc. on the table. In the time of Covid it's not excusable. We were able to flag down someone after a couple of minutes to have the table cleaned and disinfected. The waitress was very apologetic. I will probably only return during less busy times to make sure things don't get missed. read more
