This place is the jugs. So many great beers on tap, the cutest merch and tons of indoor or outdoor seating. Love the views from upstairs patio. We always go here a few times when we're in town.

We were on our way to Grand Junction, CO and we looked on Yelp to find a lunch place. Outer Range Brewery had good reviews so we decided to try it out. We lucked out because inside the building was a chicken takeout place called Bird Craft as well as a coffee shop. We ordered lunch at Bird Craft and ate it while we enjoyed a beer at Outer Range. We really enjoyed the Depth Finder Stout with its mixture of coffee, cocoa and vanilla, so we bought a 6 pack to go. The service was good, the bartender was nice and we loved the mountain view.

Came here after a long day of snowboarding and it was the perfect apres ski! It was packed on a Saturday evening, with the line for food out the door. The window was slammed, the menu sounded yummy so I can only imagine why. I waited in line for five minutes and then realized I had about about 45 minutes to wait if I wanted to eat there so we decided to just grab a couple beers and eat elsewhere. We tried the pie one (i can't remember the name, but delicious)! And my boyfriend had a hazy ipa. The beers change so often it's hard to keep up. Both were so yummy, we found a cool comfortable high-top table on the second floor which has an open courtyard style floor plan letting you see the downstairs from your table. Makes the place feel bigger. Love the cabin aesthetic and very cool art, comfy couches too although they were all full. Definitely will be back our next time in Frisco!

If you're in Frisco, this brewery is a must! Chill vibes, staff are very friendly, great beer selection (the fruity sour was my fave). The rooftop patio has beautiful views, and we even grabbed some beers to take home.

I can't speak highly enough of this place. I had close friends visiting from Maine, which has a huge craft beer scene that they're heavily entrenched in, so the bar was set very high. This place cleared the bar with ease. I would say there were 3 beers I had that have made my list of beers I would go out of my way to find again. The Sun in the Clouds IPA was delicious. I'm a big stout fan, so I rank stouts selectively, and the Summit Club Imperial Stout is fantastic. Most of all though, the Glide Path Porter may be the single best porter I've ever had, and one of the best beers I've had in general. The staff are all knowledgeable and are very helpful in finding you a beer that fits your taste, even though they don't really have a miss on the menu. And as if all this wasn't enough, the view of the mountains is breathtaking. Even if I didn't have a beer, I could easily spend an hour just sitting there taking in the view. Luckily that isn't a choice you'll be forced to make here. Can't wait until I'm able to make it back. Intestinal Impact Index Rating: 5/5 beer shoots right through me, but that hasn't stopped me yet.

Great brewery in Frisco. Nice beer selection. They did ID us, so don't forget those in your ski pants! They have chicken and poke bowls that you can order that we all really loved. And I really like that they also have a coffee counter.

We had really been looking forward to visiting Outer Range - we love visiting breweries especially those that brew some of our favorite beers but this was just a meh experience and I would not bother going back! It was seat yourself but many of the tables and chairs were downright dirty and clearly not being wiped down between guests! We ordered two IPA flights - they were out of any typical flight holders so just gave us loose glasses! The beer was simply not anywhere cold enough and the woman serving was downright rude, grumpy and disinterested so it was hard to figure out which beer was which! Also we were looking forward to shopping for merchandise but a lot of it was out! But the guy that checked out the tab gave my husband grief for not buying anything !! Only redeeming factor was the fact that the beer is good so we bought some to go so we can at least experience it cold and the food you could buy ( another business ) was good !

Been to Outer Range multiple times over the years and they never disappoint! Great beers and amazing views of the mountains from the upper deck. They lean a bit heavy on IPA's but always have enough alternate styles to keep me happy. Friendly staff, dog friendly downstairs and great overall vibe. Finally tried the Thai chicken place inside the brewery and it was excellent. My wife loved her "Ahi Tots" plate which is exactly how it sounds. Who knew they went together? Definitely give Outer Range a try when you're in the area!

Ooohh Outer Range Brewing, you're looking mighty fine indeed. When I'm heading down from a day in the mountains, I am drawn to you like a moth to a hoppy flame. "Why," you ask? "Why not," I exclaim! First, there's your covered and enclosed patio. Perfect for making the most of the Colorado sun on those chilly days. Did I mention brews with a view? Oh yeah, Outer Range Brewing has got that in the form of an upstairs patio, allowing you to really take in the views of Frisco and get up close and personal with the nearby mountains. Second, naturally, the brews. Outer Range Brewing offer up a wide variety of deliciously crafted brews to quench your thirst and make the rest of the drive to Denver just a little more bearable. Everything is crafted with care. I'm a sour girl, and I have to say, their seasonable sours are bursting with flavor. I wish I could remember the which one's I've had, but it doesn't matter - they're all excellent. I've even had a couple of the IPAs and found them just a delicious. Third, the beertenders are super friendly. They're more than will to chat with you about the beers, the brewery, or the shirt you're wearing. But for real, they're full of genuine passion for what they do. Fourth, cozy mountain vibes? They're not short on all the vibes. Throughout the whole brewery there's cozy couches, community seating, and tons of spaces to tuck yourself away and hang out for a bit. I absolutely love it. Fifth, for those of us that craving something more substantial to accompany our cold brews Outer Range offers up a tasty variety of Thai inspired bites from Bird Craft - conveniently located in their taproom. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich and the Tom Ka Ghai soup. Both are completely delicious. Bonus points for being doggo friendly (on the patio)! I love getting to love on all the pups on the patio when I'm there. Let just say, I've got a little crush on you, Outer Range Brewing. I can't wait for my next post-adventure visit. Cheers, Frisco!

Nice, two-level spot with outdoor seating on both levels. They don't do traditional flights, so we tried several 5 oz pours. We both liked the Ascension coffee stout the best, and we each enjoyed a pint of that as well. After that, the Hirshgarten was our favorite, followed by the Snug oat stout and the Quiey Corners bringing up the rear. I also tasted and liked the Festbier. Beertender was friendly too. Neat place. Would definitely go back. Kind of cool there is also a coffee shop and chicken restaurant on the first level, so options for many.

We stop here almost every time on our way to the mountains! Awesome dog-friendly patio, tons of beer options (including gluten-free!), and a cozy coffee shop inside. Pro tip: we like grabbing sushi from the Whole Foods next door and enjoying it with a cold beer on the patio--perfect pit stop.

Outer Range was a gem of a find in Frisco. We were camping at peak 1, and it's a quick drive from there. To start with the most important topic- the BEER- there were literally 12 different hazy IPAs on tap. Being an IPA-affection-ado, this was literally paradise- the holy grail. There were single IPAs, doubles, and even 1 triple. To comment on the triple- I've had some not so good triples in the past that don't even taste like an IPA anymore, but this was not only the smoothest, it also preserved the integrity of the beer. I was impressed! My only regret was not being able to try all of them - which means I will definitely be coming back. As far as the atmosphere- I'd describe it as mountain modern, and it had a good vibe. The outdoor area is huge, and offers ample seating and great views, as well as games such as corn hole. Do yourself a favor- if you love IPAs as much as I do- this should be on your beer bucket list! CHEERS! read more

Great beer and great atmosphere. They let our group bring in our lunch to eat while we drank their beer and visited. Other customers were nice, many brought in their dogs. It was a nice place to hang out on a snowy day. read more

I try to stay away from this place because I spend way too much money here! If you love IPAs like I do, then this is the place to be. All of their beer is delicious and high quality. This is probably the only brewery where I could drink and enjoy everything on the menu. Check it out! read more

Service is pretty awful. Told there was an open table somewhere upstairs by the hostess - had to find our own way there. When we got up there, all the empty tables were dirty. No one checked on us. Never got water. Beers were just decent. Not worth the money. read more

I'm a simple man, I enjoy a McChicken with nothing but lettuce and mayo. I decided to purchase the chicken sandwich here at ORB today and was greatly disappointed. In fact, I was disgusted. The combination of two sauces, an oddly put together slaw, and mint leaves put me over the edge. Although it was a hefty piece of chicken that was fried well, there where too many flavors expected to create something amazing. This expectation was short of accomplished ranking at the worst chicken sandwich I have ever consumed in my life. One more thing, the use of sweet potato buns added a bland taste to the overall sandwich. Disgusting. Chick-Fila will reign the greatest chicken only restaurant. Good day. read more

Not only is this hands down the best brewery in the county, it is one of the best breweries in all of Colorado. Their world class selection of IPAs and Belgian beers paired with great bartenders, a great vibe and amazing views of the mountains both inside and outside make this a must visit for anyone. P.S. This brewery definitely specializes in IPA's and DIPA's, but they have other choices on tap if this isn't your thing. Their beer is seriously legit, I would take their options over more established companies without hesitation. They also partnered with a gourmet food truck which parks outside...you will not be disappointed going here. read more

This is a really cool space my husband and I found after dinner in Frisco the other night. After talking with the bartender, we found out they only opened three weeks ago! They had 5 or so beers on tap on Sunday night. I had an IPA and my husband had some kind of ale that he downed too fast for me to sample! There was a band getting ready to perform but we were so tired from snowboarding we headed back to our condo. We definitely liked it and next time we're back in Frisco we will stop in again! read more

I came a year ago, I'm local, and was underwhelmed because beer diversity was missing. My hubby convinced me to try it again. It is still IPA heavy, 8 out of 12. Ok. That's their niche. Hubby liked a couple IPAs. Me? Nada. This review is more about the pub. Most traffic into the plaza can view their 'backyard' which is a chaos of stuff. The front door is flanked by a number of pallets of supplies; grains etc I assume. The inside is very uninviting. Their cool wall art is now partly covered by shelves with 'stuff' all over. Personal items of the workers/brewers lined the side bar. The brewing area itself is open to the public which is cool but there are random hoses, barrels, metro-wire shelves all over. If they did not have a few tables outside, there would be extremely limited area for patrons. The bartender knew his stuff but had zero personality. And not one person 'brewing' said hello to any patron or asked how we liked it. To stand out, you have to brew good beer AND make drinkers feel welcome and enjoy the place. ORB is missing a great chance to really rock Frisco's brew scene. read more

Delicious beer, fun atmosphere and friendly guys. A great place for apres-ski, which seems to be the bulk of the clientele. Hazy IPAs and Belgians are their speciality; I had a few of the former but didn't sample the latter. "One More Frontier" was my favorite, by far. One star docked for price: beers are $6, $7 or $8 depending on strength, but all served in tulip glasses (12oz, or less after head subsides). That works out to $8, $9.33, or $10.66 for a normal 16oz pour. I'd expect that kind of hefty premium on-mountain or in Aspen -- not in a Frisco shopping center adjacent to a Rio Grande. (But if you're there, take advantage of the bring-in-outside-food flexibility and snag a chips and guac to go.) Also, I didn't knock a star for this because they're brand new but... what's up with no AHA/homebrewer discount?! I've been to a few dozen breweries in Colorado and you're the only one that hasn't offered a token discount. Kind of odd and not the best way to treat a very vocal and influential customer bloc. read more

This place is awesome! You walk in and immediately feel part of something authentic. You have a full view of the brewing facilities from the bar area and you'll often spot Lee (the brewmaster) behind the bar or toiling away heaving hops around. These guys make excellent beer too - with a menu that is focused on super flavorful IPAs and Belgians. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and always happy to chat. Get here before there are lines around the corner! read more

Love this place! The quality of the beer here is so fantastic. I tried a few different IPAs and enjoyed all of them. The staff is friendly and we got to meet and chat to the head brewer who is so passionate about what he does. The place is family and dog-friendly which makes for a nice, relaxed, inviting crowd. The mountains in the background makes this the perfect place to catch up with friends and family and enjoy lots of tasty local brews. read more

The beer is outstanding. It's tight for seating but it has a friendly atmosphere and I met some nice folks while sharing a table. Garrett was serving beer and he was super knowledgeable about the beer. He was even a little stoked about a few. I tried a couple so far but I'll have to come back to try more- they are too good. read more

I love this place! Progressive IPAs and modern Belgian ales. Easy access location and you can bring your own food. I've visited several times and the service is always really friendly and will help walk you the menu. Oh and they do flights! Good merchandise selection. read more

I had the pleasure of going to Outer Range Brewing for the first time yesterday. I was visiting from San Diego so I was super excited to check out this place for some local brews. The laid back atmosphere, amazing beer, awesome bartenders and location was superb. It is right next to whole foods which was super exciting too. After spending a couple hours here, I left on the way to the airport realizing I had lost my wallet. In my wallet I had medical cards, credit cards, cash, my ID, and money. I retraced my steps and was sure I left it at Outer Range Brewing. I immediately called them and spoke to one of the owners and bartenders and they assured me they would look for it personally. They kept me in the loop the entire time they searched for it. After multiple people were checking, there was no luck. The next morning I received a call from Emily (even though they were closed) to let me know that they had found my wallet!!! They shipped my wallet for me through USPS immediatley and texted me with the tracking number. The hospitality and caring attitude from everyone at Outer Range Brewing is nothing short of AMAZING. I am so incredibly grateful for all of the staff at Outer Range Brewing and your efforts to quickly get my wallet back to me. I will definitely be seeing you guys next time I am visiting in Colorado!!!! read more

Outer Range opened its doors on December 26, 2016 and after being open 10 months was named one of the best new breweries in the US by Craft Beer & Brewing magazine.

Our owner and head brewer, Lee, went to high school in Brussels and attended the American Brewer's Guild Brewing Science and Engineering course in Vermont. He brews the beers he loves - Belgian ales and IPAs.

Current Management is extremely dedicated to the "We Do Not Suck," goal. High Side now has three (3) locations; Breckinridge, Fair Play and Frisco. The actual BBQ pit is in Fair Play, and high quality meats and game-based sausages are supplied to the pit. BBQ is distributed to Breck and Frisco. During my tasting the sausage was moist and flavorful, turkey was amazing (so moist), pork shoulder was nicely smoked, and the brisket, although tough, was flavorful. Also tried delectable Mac-n-Cheese, Green Chili, Red Chili. High Side is dedicated to community involvement and occupies a great location in Frisco. They also genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Kurt Zolbe is your man if you have any issues.

My friend ordered a burger that was supposed to come with lettuce, blue cheese, and the works. Instead, it arrived with just chicken and bread. That was it. No toppings at all. The water we were given was also incredibly dirty -- it literally looked grey. Service somehow managed to be both overwhelming and nonexistent. While we were eating, the waiter came back to the table every couple of seconds so we couldn't even have a conversation. But when we were actually ready for the check, suddenly there was no waiter anywhere and we fwaited about 15 minutes. On top of that, every request got mixed up. I asked for blue cheese and after about 10 minutes the waiter came back with ranch. Then I asked for lemon vinaigrette (which the meal was supposed to come with) and instead got honey mustard. After explaining again, she came back with... even more honey mustard. We also paid $10 for fries with green chili and received about 15 fries. And one more thing when paying they did NOT bring my card back for about 20 minutes. It was also extremely dark where we were sitting all of the surrounding lights were off but everywhere else in the resteraunt was perfectly fine Overall the food quality, service, and attention to orders were extremely disappointing. Definitely not an experience I'd repeat don't waste your money here.

If you are a fan of IPAs, go to Outer Range. My wife wished the selection was a little larger, but found something she could drink. The patio looks like it'll be fun once summer roles around. We stopped in mid-week which was perfect. Found seating right away which was great for the family. My kids loved that it was attached to a restaurant. This place just opened about six weeks ago and is right down the street from where we stay to go skiing. We did a flight of all 9 beers they had on to see what they had going on and the Farmhouse and DIPA were out of this world. Staff was super nice and engaging.
