I guess this could be blamed on lack of servers except there were several standing around and then when we were finally seated all of the tables were full. Once we ordered (an additional 40 minutes passed) and the food came one of my side items were left off and my husbands loaded backed potato came unassembled. I believe this is the Outback we went to last night while I was visiting some friends. We called ahead, because the locals we were visiting say the wait is usually over an hour on a Saturday night. We got there, ordered drinks (buy 1 get 1 free margaritas? Game ON!), and were seated within 10 minutes. We ordered a Bloomin' Onion and out drinks. When the onion came out, there wasn't very much batter on it (I don't eat onions, I just pick the batter off), so I was a bit disappointed, but others at the table though it was delicious. Our steaks (2 ribeyes & 1 sirloin) all came out perfect. The garlic mashed potatoes are a little bit too garlicy, but their sweet potatoe fries are DELICIOUS!! Our waiter was very attentive to our needs and kept the refills of sweet team a'comin! Corporate really needs to take a look at management in this location and make some changes. I have given this place several tries and each time it has gotten better slightly. I always order to go because I have a 4 year old that will not eat anything on the menu and sometimes I crave a good steak. The first time I ordered the sirloin 4 course. The steak was undercooked. The wedge salad did not have bacon on it nor blue cheese so I paid extra for this selection to get a minuscule wedge of ice burg lettuce. I ordered the cheese cake with raspberry topping yet they gave me chocolate. I also ordered French onion soup with extra provolone. No extra provolone was provided. So to recap I was charged almost $30 before tip for a less then perfect steak, a quarter of iceburg, onion soup, and bland Mac and cheese. I felt pretty bad for the waitress who was tending our table. She was actually embarrassed to find out what the chef has sent out to our table. To make the appearance of multiple persons serving a table, the order is taken by one person, and when the delivery time comes, a different person delivers. Many restaurants employ this strategy--this make it look as though there are multiple staff members tending the patrons. As a result of this strategy, the person who took the order did not know what was delivered to our table until significant time lapses. One of the side dishes that was ordered was mushrooms. When it was delivered, it resembled more of a mushroom soup rather than mushrooms. When our waitress finally looked at it, she volunteered to bring out another bowl of mushrooms. I commend her for that. Another incident where I was convinced that, the kitchen does not communicate well with the servers is when another dish we ordered, which was Chicken Cobb Salad, came without any eggs. It was during the delivery of the plate, we were informed that, they had ran out of eggs. I believer the diners should have been advised of such. I mean, why take the order, try to deliver an item that is not complete, and expect the diner to accept it? On this occasion, my 2-star rating is generous. We went early on a Saturday evening. The sirloin was tough as leather, even cooked with a red center. The prime rib was tough also, and full of gristle. The chicken that I had was uneatable. The vegetables were bland. The only part that was decent were the salads and the alcohol. This is probably the most expensive restaurant in Warner Robins. Total waste of money. We came here after my fiancé had a long day at work. Everything started off fine until the waitress began having an attitude about mistakes she made. She had not gotten us silverware making me fiancé wait a while before she could eat her salad. Then she admitted she hadn't ordered the appetizer on time and the meal was coming it with it. I told her we didn't want the appetizer at this point and she tried pushing it on us anyway. I refused and the meal showed up as soon as she took the appetizer back. I asked for some condiments and she literally slung them down on the table. At this point I asked for the manager. She wanted to know why. I repeated I wanted the manager. She finally left and got him. The manager, Marcus, showed up promptly. He was polite, professional, genuine, and concerned. He asked questions and wanted to make everything right. He did an outstanding job of fixing a minor problem someone else turned into a big annoyance. He is the epitome of how a professional businessman should run his establishment. Corporate needs to recognize his skills and that he is an asset to their organization. If all managers were like him outback wouldn't have competition. read more

It did seem to take them longer than usual to bring the bread out the waitress was very nice and polite when I order my six ounce Outback sirloin medium it came out a little burnt and overcooked I asked the waitress if I can get another one that wasn't so over cooked and she said yes and a manager will bring it out to make sure I'm happy with my meat. Such a disappoint after the weekend prior we had the best experience sitting in the bar area and everything was amazing including the service. 1. Was told there would be a wait but the restaurant was empty at 3pm 2. Server was rude and personality sucked 3. I received a birthday certificate from my daughter for outbacks which we don't normally patronize that chain but we thought we would try it. The decor inside was nice and the restaurant was clean. It was about 5:30 PM so there was a lot of seating available. I ordered a Bacardi and diet Coke in a tall glass single shot with no lime. My glass which was a far cry from being a tall glass since it looked like it was about a 6 ounce glass came three-quarter full. They could've put another inch of Coke in the glass. The steak I ordered was a 12 ounce ribeye, seared and seasoned. When the steak was delivered it was about 3/8 of an inch thick which surprised me because I've never really seen a steak that thin before in a steakhouse. I ordered it medium rare and the steak came out basically well done because it's really hard to regulate five different cooking settings on a steak that's 3/8 inch thick. The worst and driest steak I ever put in my mouth. I asked my waitress if she thought it looked like it was medium rare when I showed her the inside of the steak and she said no. She should've gone and got a manager but she didn't. We will never go back to this store or to Outback again , this particular store because of the quality of their meats and outbacks in general because they're Wayover priced compared to Texas roadhouse which is our go to steakhouse. 2 stars is generous. read more

Even a mediocre chain 'steakhouse' should be able to properly prepare steak. This Outback location does not. All three steaks we ordered were cooked poorly. My sirloin was ordered medium, poorly butchered and cut in the shape of a doorstop, and arrived medium well. The iceberg in my salad had turned red in places. The worst offense, though, was the porterhouse. My buddy ordered his medium, and the thing came out well done and completely gray with absolutely no sear. In my experience it's incredibly difficult to dry out a porterhouse, but they succeeded in doing just that. Until they move their new line cook back to dishwashing duty, do yourself a favor and grab a steak next door (Kroger) to throw on the grill at home. read more

I've yet to get a steak I order here done to the correct temperature. Apparently medium rare means not a red center with some pink around the edges but totally grey meat. Silly me. The blooming onion is of course an always dependable appetizer, and they've got fairly decent prices when it comes to beer. As far as steakhouses go, this is my favorite. It's also one of the more expensive restaurants in town. I've never had a bad experience here, though. Everything I've ever gotten here is awesome. The bread, the salads(including the croutons, and I normally hate croutons), the steaks, salmon, pasta dishes, everything. I had their signature dessert -- the chocolate thunder from down under -- once, and it was also really good, though because their portions are so big I haven't had room for dessert since. If you want something a bit better and more consistent than other similar restaurants like Applebees and Cheddars, Outback is the way to go.
