Rome, GA - Took my family for a Valentine's Day dinner. Had to wait an hour and a half, but in their defense, that's exactly how long they told me it would be. They were also very busy. The waiter immediately messed up on our drink order, but I'm willing to concede that he may have been new or a little flustered due to how busy it was. The music was very loud, which caused all the patrons to talk loudly, which made for a very noisy dining experience. The main issue I always have with this establishment is the tiny amounts of ketchup(for my kids), and steak sauce, and pretty much every condiment they supply you with. All that being said, the food was prepared well, and the staff were accommodating enough for a very busy Friday. read more

Family dinner was a success! We will continue to always chose Outback over any other steakhouse, and tonight really showcased why. The food was excellent, as always. The service was even better! I will admittingly say we are picky people and know what we want. "Briana" was our server tonight and did a great job at making sure they got everything right for us! Drinks stayed filled, great attitude from everyone, and just overall another nice time dining out! read more

Please don't waste your time here at the outback in Rome Georgia. Poor service with Walmart Grade beef. The ribeye was nasty. Zorba's in Cedartown is better. You also have Texas roadhouse across the street and it's 10 times better. You don't go to a steakhouse pay over $25 for what they call a Ribeye more like Rawhide shoe leather & Catch attitude from some brat or wet towel of a person for a Server meaning they don't care read more

We walked in for lunch to a basically empty restaurant and were greeted by Blake who unfortunately ended up being our waiter. He mumbled about seating, about what a "day" he was having and then finally seated us. We waited 34 minutes and never even got our appetizer. Our waiter acted surprised?? Shouldn't they know what we are served??? I doubt he ever put the order in. We should have left then. He also acted surprised that my husbands burger has no bacon as it was ordered and said to him "well they don't come like that" and we replied that he ordered it like that to which he said nothing. His burger came with no condiments and was beyond rare. He never checked on us and was the worst waiter we've ever had. Please consider retraining Blake C. Most disappointing meal and worst service, ever. read more

This was really bad the service sucked the food was cold do not go here. It took the water 40 minutes just to get us our drink and when we got our food twenty minutes later the food was cold I was pissed about it and told them to step up there service that is why I gave this one star. Do not go here read more

Way off today. The Herbed Parmesan Crusted chicken was so salty, I had to send it back. The Alice Chicken replacement meal didn't come out until my husband was finished with his meal. Such a disappointment. Update: The manager came by as we were getting up from our table and asked how everything was. She listened as I described our dining experience and apologized, then asked us to wait while she got us a gift card. This is exactly how it should have been handled. This small gesture turned our experience around. Good job Outback! Now talk to the cook about the salt! read more

Good food but I didn't get a steak so I can tell you about the hamburger, fries, and bloomin onion. the bloomin onion was delish, and the dipping sauce was out of this world ! the hamburger was good, with a homemade bun. but it was nothing spectacular to make it stand out from any other burger. I didn't catch our server's name but he was very good. polite and efficient. read more

Ah let's see, what's my opinion of this location.. Vile food and unfriendly service. 100% do not recommend. We had the cheese fries, they were microwaved.. eww.. the blooming onion looked as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long while before serving it to us, it was obviously beyond over cooked. My husband said his steak was plain and simply "not good". His salad also contained old brown lettuce. And to top all that off, our server seemed as though being at work was the last thing that she wanted to be doing today. She never cleared anything off the table when she stopped by even though we had it all stacked up nice and neat on the edge of the table for her. She gave us fake smiles that would drop off her face before she would even start walking away.. needless to say she got a poor tip for poor service. We will not be returning. Also we forgot our debit card and called to say we would be returning to get it and we were told it wasn't there.. nice. The card was blocked before we called and was deactivated when they claimed we didn't leave it. read more

Waited for over 10 mins, then asked a waitress that had already brought drinks and appetizers to a table that was seated after me, if she knew who our waiter/waitress was and she went to the back and said just a minute. When the waitress came to the table she said very clearly with attitude " I cut my finger but I guess I will go ahead and get your drink order" ! All 6 of us paused and just looked at her b/c what do we say???? We placed our drinks and when she brought Sri is to the table she did not ask to take our order or please give her a minute she will be right back.... nothing. She came back with a blue (what looked like tape) bandage on her hand, no glove over that wounded hand or nothing. Took the order and 30 mins later brought our checks b/c our lunch time was up (we asked for checks to be brought with the food and boxes) we did not even have the food yet but she stood there and waited for all our cards to pay when we did not even see our food! Then 5 mins later orders were wrong!!!! read more

My husband and I visited this place and was so bad the manager gave us a gift card...so we returned back on an afternoon met with the store manager and assured us we would pleased...we neither of us was...I ordered my ribeye medium and one side of steak rare....baked potatoes weren't even very warm...the Outback I have always enjoyed and loved seems cannot get in top of her game...many nights spent there with friends and always a good steak...manager was beyond embarrassed...I felt bad for her seems some problems in the kitchen...I was so disappointed I paid for the meal...hope they can pick up and fix the problem read more

Went to Outback in Rome,Ga. I am from California visiting family and a rewards member of Outback so thought that it would be as consistent in good quality as in Ca. We ordered Perfect Rita drinks, but I always order with the sour mix on the side.Had to send it back twice as after careful explanation to our waitress how I wanted the citrus mix on the side from the alcohol ( patron tequila, cointrou, gran marnier) on the rocks with salt. On their third attempt came back with what appeared to possibly be correct but no ice it looked short of alchohol portion. The manager approached us to see what the problem was and I questioned the alcohol portion being less than what the manager said should be,she brought a 1oz. jigger measurement and in fact it was short almost an ounce of alcohol. After that she did Not apologize or offer anything else. After that we got up and left and did not order dinner. Very disappointed and would give it no stars if possible. read more

The last time we went like other times we had issues with our food. Steaks where not done correctly. You would think a steak house would know how to cook steaks.. my mothers steak had to be sent back 4 times and it was still wrong. The manager took $7 off our bill. Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

My first visit, lunch on a Friday at 11:30 am. Service and cleanliness - A. Tough steaks that you saw through but at least they have good steak knives. Also have limp veggies and forgotten sides. Food gets a C- since it was edible and presented well. Price - Average. Overall C. The steak must get better. I can similar quality at Golden Corral. They must have kitchen problems but the front side is great! read more

I know it's a chain but I'm a huge fan. Only complaint is the beer selection. My daughter and I love the ahi tuna app

I like it. Never had any issues here. The food is fast and prepared correctly. I recommend the shakes. The choice of music is ecletic at best, very confusing mix of 80's and country. Weird read more

Worst service i've ever encountered. A large group of us went here before prom, and were treated very terribly. The refused to serve alcohol to a member of our prom party that was 21, saying his license "looked fake". He argued with the waitress for what seemed like forever before they gave him his 100% real, government-issued driver's license back. It took forever to get our food, which wasn't very good. A member of our party found something in his wings which the manager (who seemed a lot more accommodating than the waitress) assumed was "feathers". He was offered a new entree and was given his meal for free, which was nice. Needless to say, we didn't tip. Fast-forward a few days and the waitress called the school we attended and complained that she was not tipped. Beyond unprofessional. If she would've given us good service, maybe she would've gotten her oh-so-important tip. I will never step foot in this joke of a restaurant again. read more

12/1/2017 Friday evening I placed a order for curbside pickup: Porterhouse, baked sweet potato, and salad with ranch Grilled chicken, baked potato, salad with ranch no onions Picked order up, paid cash, and gave male server a $5.00 tip, Got home with no Porterhouse or sweet potato but had 2 baked potatoes in with grilled chicken, (2) salads was included with bag. No call back to say we left out your Porterhouse and sweet potato, and I live 25 minutes away. Please check your to go order before you leave!! Talked with manager "Tyrome" he said he will will make it right and was very apologetic. read more

Best steaks and meals in town! The staff is very polite and quick to respond. Have nothing but great things to say!!!

We had a great experience last week. Everything was clean, we loved the food. Jesse (Jason? can't remember name) served us at the bar and he was awesome. I worked in a restaurant for a long time, this Outback knows what it is doing! I will come back next time I'm in Rome! :) :) read more

I know that just opening after being shut down because of Covid19 is very very hard. That does not excuse this restaurant from the mistakes that happened. Being told that I would have a one hour wait time was acceptable on a Mother's Day Sunday, being less than half full because of Covid19 was acceptable. Waiting patiently while the hour goes by was acceptable, no problem but having our place in line misplaced , lost whatever they want to call it is NOT acceptable. After one hour and 20 minutes being told that they could not find us and then I had to show where they texted me to prove we were on the list was not acceptable. There were those who came in after us being served and we were just overlooked. It took another 15 or so minutes after that before we were seated but that only happened because I stood at the stand and helped the hostess find our phone number. Never an apology or anything. Mistakes happen apologizing and getting the problem fixed goes a long way, unfortunately this Outback didn't do that. The food was excellent our server excellent. read more

Overpriced! ! It's a national chain and one I personally can do without. The one we visited in Atlanta was better than the one in Dalton or the one in Rome, or Cartersville. But even it wasn't great. My husband is always about steak so we kept trying. But Outback just isn't it! Waitress in Rome sloshed tea all over us. Waitress in Cartersville was more of an expert. She actually SPILLED a glass of tea all over my boss. Wow. read more

Every time I have been there with my family, the food is bad. Mainly their steak. It's so dry and tough that my younger brother choked on a piece of steak that was very hard to chew. No worries, my mother did the hemlock maneuver on him and he was just shaken up. Now we never eat the steak there because it is always so tough. If you go here, don't order the steak. read more

The is by far the worst outback I have ever been to. I normally go with a chain I can trust, is why we stopped here while traveling. Did I ever get surprised. We got there around 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The place was almost empty. Was told beca few minute wait. (Really?). Finally after 15 minutes asked the hostess why the wait with almost all tables empty? She said the servers were on break and the managers were waiting tables and could only handle 3 at a time (wow)!! I ordered the ribeye medium rare. It was very thin so almost impossible to get it medium rare. Plus the fact it was so salty from so much dales seasoning on it, it was inedible for me. I mean really at outback they use dales to marinate their steaks. It was like one at a friends house that doesn't know how to cook a steak. I will now be going to Longhorn for my go to steakhouse while traveling. read more

My wife and I enjoy Outback. We ate there last weekend. The service was great. The salad was great and my wife's filet was very good. However, I ordered the ribeye and every time I took a bite it was grisly. I ate three fourths of it with the taste being very good. I started to mention something to our waitress but it seemed the wrong thing to do after I had eaten that much. I'm sure it was just a bad cut. We will go back and try it again. read more

I have to say that this Outback has redeemed itself! Last couple of times we ate there were NOT good. With that being said, it has been several months since we have eaten at this particular Outback. We were visiting Rome today and decided to give it another chance. MUCH BETTER!! I had the Outback Special (9 oz) and it was cooked to order, very tender and full of that great Outback flavor. My better half had the Chicken on the Barbie and she was also impressed. Both of us had salads which were cold, crisp and fresh. We also tried the Bloom Petals which proved to be good too. I also have to commend our server and wish I could remember his name as he was one of the best I have ever seen. Overall, a good meal at a decent price. Well pleased here. read more

Good service makes the restaurant. Thanks for taking care of us and treating us right.

The service was excellent and service does make a restaurant. However another main ingredient of the restaurant is the food. The clam chowder that I had for an appetizer was very good. However my steak was not cook the way I asked to have it cook and it was very tough. I had their sirloin. My wife had the ribeye and she said it was very good. So for the main entrée they were about 50%. Overall I would go back but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

We hadn't been in a while because my husband makes much better steaks but we thought we'd give it another shot. As expected the food was just mediocre, truly nothing special. No need to return. read more

We came for my mother's birthday and it was definitely an enjoyable experience. The blooming onion was okay, not as good as expected, but the sauce that accompanies it was very good. The steak was fairly juicy, but slightly tough. I recommend upgrading one of your sides to get the broccoli & cheese, definitely one of the best broccoli dishes we've ordered at a restaurant. Finally, our server was very nice, friendly, and even brought out a complimentary dessert! read more
