Absolutely spectacular restaurant experience. We were staying at the room tennis center at the Fairfield and wanted to enjoy a dinner where we could sit down and be comfortable and not right on top of people's conversations and this place delivered. Logan was our server. He did an excellent job wonderful young person. Skilled server very attentive to our needs and treated us with great kindness and appreciation. I was really blown away at how several staff people had obvious relationships with the customers. It was really cool to see the small town vibe and people taking pride and who they are and what they do. The food was absolutely wonderful. Our meal started with hot bread and a plate of fresh garlic to go with the olive oil. the entrees were hot and fresh - salads were delicious - the house Italian dressing was obviously made daily. I've been to this place serval times since it's so close to the Rome Tennis Center, which is where we go quite often. It's the closest restaurant and it never disappoints! It's a mixture of Italian and Greek, which is a great combo! It has all your regular Italian dishes with a flair of Greek. If you like spicy pasta, try the Spicy Chicken and Shrimp Penne pasta...... so good!!! Their deserts are out of this world. Bella Roma is one of "go to" restaurants in Rome! Service is always great, starting at the hostess greeting you as you walk in. All the waiters help- not just yours. They all come over and check on you. The ambiance is great. We walked in at 10:50am, 10 minutes early for lunch opening and didn't really expect much, but received a pleasant surprise. Attentive service from a lovely and friendly server, and the food was not only plentiful but delicious. Typically first served lamb is dry because it's the first of the day sliced off the roll, but this was moist and delicious. My co-worker had the pasta, and while not quite as plentiful must have been good because he devoured it post haste. We would not hesitate to return and bring family. read more

service is good. The soup that you get before you order anything is good but has way too much lime or lemon squeezed into it and takes over the entire soup and ruined the soup for me. Was in the area and wanted pizza but not the usual restaurant chain pizza. Saw Roma as an option and seeing it is supposedly the #3 restaurant in Rome, GA we decided why not? The hostest greeted us kindly upon entering. Like awkward but nice and with a smile. Definitely saw her give me, specifically, then us a once over so that was amusing. This isn't a fancy restaurant and we weren't underdressed. Its practically an Olive Garden. Maybe there aren't many Asians in Rome? But other than that they were able to get a table for seven put together quickly for us. We sat for at least a few minutes before we were greeted by our waiter who brought the fresh rolls and garlic. Then he disappeared.. Later came back to take drink orders and disappeared again. We got our drinks and he disappeared again without taking our orders. After probably 10-15 minutes he came to take our orders. After orders received he practically neglected our table the rest of the time we were there. Not once did he ask how we were doing or needed anything. We had to stop him twice for drink refills. Napkins. Ketchup. Silverware. The basics. It was ridiculous and my husband was fuming. It wasn't even that busy being a Tuesday. My husband really did not want to leave any tip but we ended up leaving 15% anyway. We are generous tippers and always leave an average 30-50% for great service so this was not the norm. The service we received definitely killed the vibe for us and I could've sworn our waiter said, "see ya" as we left. It was the condescension that did it for me. I was ready to get out of there. The best dish we ordered had to be the lobster ravioli. There was actually some lobster pieces in the ravioli and not just mush. Dried tomatoes were a great addition. In all the pasta dishes I do feel the actual pastas were over cooked as per usual and heavily sauced but perfect for dipping their fresh rolls. The tomato sauce you can tell was fresh. Maybe made in house. Not heavily processed. The "worst" dish we got was the calamari. It's advertised as crispy but was actually squishy. Like you could tell by looking at them that they were not going to be crispy. Not only that, they were chewy and we didnt want to finish them. I couldn't help but think the dish was a joke.. Other than the not very good service and getting once overed by the hostest, whom my husband did let know about our lack of service, we may recommend this place but it wouldn't be our first choice. Food was not bad and the other wait staff look to be attentive to their tables. Don't order the calamari though. My sister joked that if Roma was #3 she'd be worried about #1&2. LOL read more

The tour of Italy tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. I did have the lemon chicken soup and it was delicious. It's the most awful pizza I have ever had! I would not recommend eating the pizza or the Caesar salad! The croutons are hard as a rock and almost chipped a tooth! The pizza crust is hard and it's so greasy! Guess you have to specify if you want wood grilled pizza on a Saturday but when you place the order - the employee never mentioned it, and I do not see it on the website! Called to inform management about the awful pizza and salad and requested a refund. Spoke with the owner who said you have to specify if you want "wood grilled" and refused to refund. I informed the owner I was in ICU with a family member and unable to come pick up a "wood grilled" pizza. So I asked for a refund of the 35.00 but she refused. Just awful customer service! We ordered fried mozzarella appetizer, salad, spaghetti, chicken fettuccini Alfredo, margarita pizza, and ribeye. The bread rolls were freshly baked and delicious. I love that they give you fresh garlic with the bread. The rest of the dishes were okay, but the pizza dough was under cooked. You could taste it with the first bite, and then when you look at side of the slices you could see that it was still raw. We sent it back and even on the second it was still raw. I understand that these things happen but it should have been taken off of the bill. Service was very slow so do not go unless you have plenty of time. There weren't many people. I recommended Bella Roma to my sister for her birthday lunch because I usually like this place. Well, I found out today that it can be hit or miss. I ordered the meatball parm sub which was good. My sister ordered the cheesesteak sub. The meat on her sub was dry and over cooked. She said it looked and tasted like it was pre-cooked and re-heated in a microwave. I requested dinner rolls. There were 4 rolls in the breadbasket, two of the rolls were perfect, the other two were over cooked, (very nearly burnt). It looked like they served us the burnt rolls alongside the good rolls just to get rid of them. Come on guys, if you burn some of the rolls, throw them away, don't serve them to your customers. The waiter was attentive and the atmosphere is good. But I was disappointed that I suggested this place for her birthday lunch. I definitely recommend that you don't order the cheesesteak sub. read more

Bella Roma needs to clarify the pricing on their menus. The menu says Ravioli is $13 but I got charged almost $20. When I asked about this price jump, they said meat sauce is extra. It is not stated under Ravioli on the menu that it is extra cost to get meat sauce. Our waitress was very sweet but did not verbally tell me about this charge that was not stated in the menu. I was disappointed by how the manager handled the situation. "I thought I would let you know." Thanks for letting me know AFTER I ordered and finished my plate. Have been here several times now, and have yet to have anything short of a great time. From the salads and sandwiches to the pasta and pizza, Bella Roma delivers good food at very reasonable prices in a clean, relaxed atmosphere. I am a special fan of Bella Roma's tendency to be liberal with the cheese when building their pizzas, and their occasional special deals for Berry students and faculty don't hurt, either. It's a fun place to come for a family dinner as well as to hit with some girlfriends to split a pitcher after a difficult class during the week, and their location right next to the Rome Braves stadium makes it an ideal place to unwind and refuel before or after a game. I'm always happy to see the place busy - Rome needs more independent businesses, and I like to see them doing well. I highly recommend Bella's white pizzas as well as their California salad - the ingredients are fresh and delicious, and servings are plenty big to fill up even the hungriest diners. Traveling for work and the Rib-eye was cooked perfectly as well as the wife's salmon asparagus linguine, the lemon butter wine reduction was a refreshing lite sauce, not to heavy and let the roasted asparagus and salmon shine ! The lemon chicken soup was a solid 9 while the real country style Minestrone was a 10 all day ! Great service and the management does a great job at sincere table touches ! Can't wait to go back ! This is tough bc I generally like this restaurant and have been on a few occasions. Although they have messed my order up a few times, I tend to overlook it. We booked their private room weeks in advance for our family Christmas dinner. The cost was a surprising $100. But okay it's Covid and it's Christmas. I go in to pay it, they actually added tax. $107. A little weird, I didn't realize that was a taxable thing but okay. We get there, they had the chairs crammed so hard together that we had to remove a few just so we weren't sitting directly on top of one another. Keep in mind we informed them of the number and only filled 2/3 of the table. But then, we only had one server. Now, if we were a large party walking in, I get that, but we were a private party, of almost 20 ppl, and that meant that ppl were sitting there without food while others had food, and then if an order wasn't correct, the waiter was MIA. To his credit, he was nice, just should've had more help. Like I said, if we were a large party that just walked in, but we were a private reservation party that paid $107 for this service that was ordering $500 worth of food and drinks. They were wholly unprepared. So sadly, I'll not be returning for any private events, but I will still use them from time to time on a personal basis. I'm disappointed. And on top of that, a few orders were incorrect, and one plate didn't even come out until right before we left. And it was just mozzarella sticks. read more
