We sat at the bar because appetizers were half off; were cheap and Mayo is expensive! We had soup, salad and coconut shrimp. All phenomenal, the salad dressings are perfect and the shrimp were nice and crisp. Our bar server was excellent very friendly. The best treat of the night was some local Rochester folks paid for our wine and shrimp. It was truly so kind. Next time we have to go to Mayo, we'll def make a trip back. read more

Service was pretty good, I got the feeling he was newer so we gave him some grace. Got back to my hotel room to eat and my "freshly made side" of a baked potato dressed with everything (butter, sour cream, chives, cheddar cheese & bacon) was a baked potato wrapped in foil. Solid, not cut. No toppings. Nothing in the bag either. Not even butter that would have been welcomed with the small loaf of bread. Not a thing in the bag except the food & plastic utensils. $50 for that one entree of 4 coconut shrimp & 8 oz. Sirloin. The potato scam was a slap in the face from Outback. Online order form was clear. I ordered a real dinner as a treat while staying with a team of 10 people at a hotel for two weeks, for work. But was too tired to eat in, so I ordered pick-up. The steak was horrible! We both got ribeyes and they were so full of fat and gristle even the dull knives they provided couldn't cut through them. Both steaks had so much pepper on them. Outback has always been a favorite of ours, even since I was a child. After a long shopping day, we stopped in for a late lunch. It was not busy at all and we were sat immediately upon walking in. We hung out at our table and noticed that a couple groups of 3-4 were seated around the restaurant. They all had different, but very active servers and were waited on and had drinks and bread within minutes of being seated. Our server had yet to be seen. As I was attempting to ask about our servers whereabouts, they came to the table around minute 10 of waiting. Our server took our drink & food orders and came back with bread. The server then disappeared until well after our food had been brought out by the other servers we had watched being very proactive within their sections. The food was really good and we did enjoy our time. We were just rather jealous of all the other sections who had great servers who were out and about, continually checking on their tables where as ours appeared to stay back in the kitchen area 90% of the time. We went here for Valentin's Day dinner and honestly it was abs amazing. To start we were seated for faster than expecte, despite having no reservations. The service was fast, very nice and every aspect of the meal was exactly as ordered. I like my steak medium well and it is very hard to actually get that when I order it, but they had it perfectly as I like it. Server was Nicole Worst service ever Took 10 min to get a glass of water. Never came to check on us after our meal came. Fried mushrooms were pieces,over cooked and greasy. Nicole jokes with her other tables, used a fake smile and laugh with us. If she only knew that I am a server and tip really good. Was prepared to tip at least $30. The steaks are always good here, as is most all of the other food here. The service wasn't great tonight. We were out for a family dinner and the waitress forgot my salad, but corrected it promptly and asked me to repeat my dinner order, only to not bring that too. I will start it out with why this place received a 3 star. Price vs. Value. The nearly $24 steak is worth half that...period! I have been here many times and when they removed the Outback steak special ($16.99) this place became way over priced for their steaks. The service was great. We sat in the bar area so the bartender was our server. He did a great job of tending bar and serving our table. The water glass was never empty! The food arrived in a very timely manner which is expected in a "chain" store. Everything was served hot. I ordered my New York Strip steak med.-well and it came well done. This place is noted for serving one notch below what is served in normal steak houses. So mine should have been closer to medium. The salad was very good and the tangy tomato is very tasty. We order the not so new anymore Aussie Cheese Fries. They were outstanding!!! The place is clean and very busy. Expect to pay more but I guess it is the Australian meat prices. read more

this is a place my parents always want to eat while at the Mayo clinic. Briar was our server and did an excellent job. it was absolutely freezing in the dining room. we asked for them to turn the air up a bit and they actually did it! we had coats on and were cold. Food was good. I always order the sirloin and it was cooked perfectly. mom had the filet and I had a bite and excellent. they ordered veggies and it was a huge portion. tables were marked off, masks were worn. Read the reviews on Yelp which were pretty mixed but decided to try it out. We had Alana as our waitress and she was awesome! We started with the fried mushrooms (delish). My kid couldn't stop eating them. The fresh bread and butter was amazing. I got the sirloin and shrimp. It was cooked to a perfect medium (as ordered) and had amazing flavor. My mom got the salmon and shrimp meal and said it was very good. The broccoli was cooked perfect and the rice was loaded with flavor. Super-forgetful and just didn't have the waitress attitude - you could just tell that she could be a real beyotch if she wanted to. Overall, we enjoyed the food. We had a blooming onion ( a little over-cooked. A chopped steak (glorified burger without the bun, but the flavor is soo good!) with a super-yummy sweet potato and some broccoli. My dining partner had the port tenderloin with sweet potato and broccoli. Everything was delicious. This location is very pretty, it's much prettier than the location by where we live. It seems this one's been updated and fancified. Very pretty. The booths were comfy, the lighting was great. The restaurant was very clean. Picked up curbside order on a Sunday evening and was vastly underwhelmed. Meal one was an overly salted burger with no sides. As the mashed potatoes were missing I'm unable to review them. Meal two was the 12oz ribeye with breaded shrimp, sweet potato and a side of sautéed mushrooms. The steak was cooked medium rare (ordered rare) and seasoned with an abundance of pepper. Of the 12oz filet much of it was fat. Sweet potato was adequate and the mushrooms were seasoned with water, nothing else for flavor. The shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. Meal three was bloomin chicken with a baked potato and steakhouse Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was missing the chicken tasted like old oil and the potato could have been replanted as it was undercooked. The bloomin onions we ordered for appetizers were over cooked in old oil and had a rancid smell to them. Mac and cheese bites ordered had the same taste of old cooking oil, a great addition to the flavorless bites. This is the first time I've ever gotten food from Outback, but given this experience I'd prefer to spend the $100 on literally anything else. read more

I wanted a good ribeye steak and i ordered it and it was so big it almost filled the whole plate,but it looked good and was cooked right and looked like it was spiced already and nicely browned on the outside but it just wasn't as tender as a ribeye and a bit tough and stringy too so it was a little disappointing to me bI wasn't convinced that it was a real ribeye steak but in the end i ate it and was ok with it so i decided to not complain about it and moved on I should have asked for a filet mignonette for a tender steak instead but everything else was just so it's up to you guys to decide for yourselves!thank you bye love ,Brad in rochester,minnesota and good luck to you guys read more

A loud, noisy Outback. Just what we needed for a long day's haul and a quick pop in here for a steak and potatoes. Standard menu, and layout. Little beeping machines help let you know when your table is ready - only a range out to the picket fence around the patio of the restaurant, though, so not entirely handy. That being said, don't order the steak medium - it comes out medium well. Medium rare, on the other hand, did just fine. I like the fact they don't add salt to their veggies. But they added waaaay too much salt to the sauteed mushrooms and to the outside of the potatoes (love skins but not that salty). The Blossoming Onion - not bad, would be better served less crisp (the onion was a bit dry) and with ranch instead of the spicy ranch sauce. Desserts did look good, for the most part, but too full. Love, love, love this place. Outback Steakhouse is comfort food at its best. The people are tremendously nice and the manager, if you get the opportunity to talk with him, is customer-focused.
