Cowboy Ribeye Steak house Hashbrowns- Blue Style Brussel Buffalo Brussels Sprouts sadly steak is not Pittsburgh style
    Krissy H.

I was super excited to try this cause nobody can seem to do Pittsburgh style very few places as a matter of fact. thought they would have this in the bag. They said they could do Pittsburgh blue where it's cold in the middle. I said well I want it warm in the middle, but still want Pittsburgh Style. It didn't quite come like that. It was good but would've been better if it was Pittsburgh style. You would think since it's in their name they would have no problem. We got the hashbrowns the House ones they were OK not great. I would not get them again and the brussels sprouts were a little too sweet for my liking. It was still good. Just not amazing for that kind of money. I expect a little better not gonna lie. Don't get me wrong it is a nice place and would be nice for a date night or just to meet up with friends. Service was slow Which was surprising because they weren't busy at all.

    Nice ambiance

Ck out their Happy Hour 4-6 then stay for dinner if you love the food! HH all night on Sundays. I've basically stayed here for a month the last two months due to medical issues. I never tire of the cool fire wall. Prime Instagram options. I love the Capriahani (sp?) & Lamb lollipops & chicken wraps. Obviously most people come for the steaks which look legit. The service in the hotel is always a 10 out of 10. All of the women bartenders I've had have been amazing and most of the men, although there is one who might be my frenime lol They definitely cater to a higher end clientele, including Mayo employees, patients, tourists, families, and locals. Very romantic date night spot although they do have room for groups too. Hotel has a couple museums and sky bridge connections. Parking might be tricky but Galleria across the street. Burger was just ok. I recommend sticking to the steaks. Good wine list.

The layers of flavor and the mouth feel of biting into the crust. Priceless.

My visits at Pittsburgh blue have been some of my favorite steak experiences of all time. Their aged steak is super flavorful with a strong age note and super awesome crust that is unmatched. My pictures can't even do this goated crust justice. When you dip your steak in bone marrow or their decadent lobster bisk, it takes it to a whole nother level.

Cesar salad and french onion soup

Went for my birthday dinner after touring Mayowood. Started off with a Cesar salad and french onion soup, both of which were ok but not phenomenal. Hubby and I both enjoyed prime rib, shared an order of wonderfully crispy hash browns, and got a complimentary lava cake dessert. Those were all so delicious! The horseradish sauce that came with the prime rib could've been spread on a flip flop for all of me, and I still would've loved it. Sooooo good. Our server was awesome too! She was right on time for everything. Made for a great birthday experience!

Sea Bass - note: mine was prepared plain due to my restrictions.

Great steaks. Not prime grade but for that price it was a great steak. Service is excellent and the restaurant is well decorated.

We had fish (walleye) and seafood pasta. The pasta was fair but the fish was terrible... literally tasted like cardboard.

I ordered the Apple Margarita from the specials menu, while my husband had the Sherry Picking. Both drinks were beautifully crafted and so delightful that we kept trading sips to compare. For food, we shared the oxtail dish, and it was outstanding. The meat and mushrooms were incredibly tender, bursting with flavor, and every ingredient came together in perfect balance. It was one of those dishes you don't want to end. A big shoutout to Marlin, the bartender, who made the evening even better. He was friendly, attentive, and provided great conversation along with excellent service. All in all, this spot delivered on atmosphere, drinks, food, and hospitality. We found the five course tasting menu to be interesting, but neither my wife nor I found the food to be delicious or memorable. Quality ingredients were top notch and the preparation and plating excellent, but we just didn't care for the flavors or combinations that came out. We expect when we get a tasting menu to have a few dishes that might miss the mark for us -- that's sort of the point. You're exploring the chef's ideas and dishes. It's strange when none of the dishes really hit with our palates and we travel all over the world in search of amazing food and dining experiences. To make matters somewhat worse, we did the wine pairing and oftentimes with the courses we found the wine did not pair incredibly well with the plates. Further, when the wine was served we never saw a bottle once and were never told about the winery, the vintage, etc. -- only the type of wine it was and what flavors we could expect. We've never had that before with a wine pairing. We encourage the chef to continue to explore his palate, creativity, and imagination and we look forward to the possibility of coming back again some time in the future to see how this chef and menu may have evolved.

The ranch served alongside tasted fresh like it was house-made, too. My husband loved his meal: custom burger with fries. The bun was even great quality. I had the grilled chicken with toasted quinoa salad. The portion size was massive, and it was a very good mix of flavors and textures. I've never had quinoa toasted in this way before. The baguette piece along with it was great, too. We were too full to order dessert, which was a shame, as they had bread pudding on the menu, one of my favorites. We'll need to come back!

The interior was lovely and the service was excellent and attentive. Our meal did not disappoint, either. My wife had the risotto with braised beef cheek (so tender!), roasted oyster mushrooms, veal demi-glace, and parmesan. Unctuous and umami. I had the Bucatini -- blue crab with anchovy butter and red pepper pesto. I'm a sucker for anchovies and the anchovy butter, once stirred into the pasta, was absolutely delicious and really complimented the crab. A truly savory and decadent treat. Just wanted a bit more sauce. The salmon was cooked well with a crispy skin underneath. Flavors played together nicely with the textures. We enjoyed the dessert as the textures (there's a theme here) had great interplay with the flavors in the dish. Only wish that pastry was hot. The ambience is nice and chill. It can feel a bit cramped but gives kinda a speakeasy vibe meets hipster. Note that finding parking is a bit challenging here. There are two booths on the window that would make excellent date spots. The reason for the rating is due to the service. I made a reservation for the spot and made reference to it being our anniversary. However, nothing was done to reference the reason for the dinner. I had never been there and didn't know about the booth availability. The place was busy but we didn't get much attention (menus were left on the table, didn't get small plates to eat the Drummies properly, got one refill of water toward the end, etc). I felt bad about this rating because I've read people enjoying the experience. However, this is what I experienced. The food is great. Service could be better.
