This place is the best food in all of Rochester . The most unique and flavorful . If you want to challenge you palate and food knowledge check this place out . I enjoyed the Winter Green Salad . I love the crunch puffed wild rice and the hint of cranberry and apple worked perfectly. I also enjoyed the Bucatini pasta with chestnuts and brown butter . This dish was perfect. Very well balanced and the portion was spot on . The service was great and very friendly. The restaurant was busy but still felt very comfortable. If you're looking for somewhere new and adventurous give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

Gourmet food for affordable price and vibes! Every dish I could taste the layers of complexity. The chef creates harmony between fat, flavor, and texture (crunchy, creamy). For example, I got to taste chewy and crunchy fried clam next to this pepper stuffed with buttery soft rice. You mix it with the bed of subtle spicy sauce/ricotta cheese. The fat, spice, acidity, and textures of chew and crunch were just mind blowing. He makes new recipes routinely. Felt the creativity and passion in the food! Definitely get the sourdough naan and dip it in tallegio potatoes. It's like cheese dip but million times better. Comfort food but got tartness and delicious savory flavor. Favorite was the squash dish! It was so autumnal, sweet, roasted, the nuts adding freshness and crunch. The sauce being so comforting and unlike anything I've had ever before. I'd have vegetables like this all the time if I could. Last few points, Service: Our waiter was so friendly, respectful, kind, knowledgeable. I was eyeing a bitter cocktail and he double checked with me if that's my preference and it allowed me to catch my mistake thank God haha. I felt taken care of :) Ambiance: small homey bar area + small table seating, intimate. Tad noisy Tip: bring 2-3 friends or family to share stuff with. I think family style lets you try more flavor combos than if you just had to 100% finish a whole dish by yourself. And even if you're not into sharing. Good food is shared with good company. The chef knows his stuff. Hope you get to enjoy the wonders of fine cuisine in a casual setting at Marrow.

Firstly, the service was absolutely unmatched. Exceptional ambience with the perfect amount of lighting and best music. I am so glad that I got a chance to go tonight and nothing could've lived up to this! Literally the best food I've ever had. I cannot wait to bring my brother and his wife back to enjoy it themselves. Highly recommend the pistachio cake not a plate left my table that wasn't cleared! Thanks to the wonderful service staff and amazing chefs for this wonderful experience!

I was excited to try this place although it's not my usually go to it was something new, the restaurant is small and probably not the best place for a toddler. However they did have a few options for kids if you did end up taking your children. Got a few appetizers and entrees and the naan was AMAZING the chicken i ended up going with wasn't that special it was bland and probably not my favorite. They do offer smash burgers which seemed to be popular but you can only get them if you are sitting at bar which I wasn't a fan of since I couldn't sit at the bar and they wouldn't make accommodation for me. The restaurant was clean and very cute. Although I probably won't go back it might be for someone else just wasn't for me.

Cute quaint, upscale yet casual restaurant! We all stopped by Marrow for dinner before heading back to Minneapolis. Very surprised and glad that Rochester had this gem! We tried to try as many of Marrow's dishes as possible and had some favorites after this! Our waiter Jeff did a great job giving us recommendations and spacing out all we ordered as well through out our dinner as well. What to get: marrow bones, confit farmers potatoes, hamachi crudo and squash carpaccio. We will have to come back in the fall, because Jeff had let us know that the menu changes every couple weeks ad lib per chef. Can't wait to come back to see what chef's future creations are because some of them can definitely challenge the Minneapolis food scene

Was in town for business and brought my colleagues. What a great fine. Started at the bar with a lovely rum drink called a Coco-groni. Once we all gathered we were taken to our table. As a group we could not make up our minds so we took a 'Family Style' approach. Our waiter was totally on board and fully managed it for us. As you can see from our pics we ordered multiple dishes, and the staff placed them in the middle of the table with serving utensils. They managed everything perfectly. Not shown was our starter course (we had the sourdough naan, the carrot curry soup and the stuffed mushrooms). Unfortunately we filled up with the main menu that we were not able to partake in any desserts. As a group we decided we will all be back.

Went here for my birthday dinner and they did not disappoint! The food was delicious and beautiful (my photos do not do justice). Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We sat at the Chef's Counter, so could see the thought and efficiency built into the kitchen. Highly recommend and we will be coming back.

Outstanding experience! The server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Food was fantastic, we loved sharing all the small dishes. A must visit when in Rochester! We came here with 5 colleagues and discussed work topics and socialized, the restaurant was perfect for that, accommodating our reservation proactively by discussing best table options for our group. After arrival we were promptly seated and greeted by our friendly waiter who made great suggestions for selections from the menu. I will be back next time I'm in town!

Food was exceptional, fresh, and creative. Burger was one of the best smash burgers I've ever had. Cocktails and ambiance are fun. Shout out to Marlin whose excitement and pride about the menu was palpable. Will definitely be back, soon!

Amazing gourmet food, great service and wonderful ambiance! If you're ever in this town make sure you're not missing this place! It's an experience! Menu changes all the time but I don't think you'll be disappointed if you are a foodie like me!

A nice chill spot, that smelled amazing even from the front door. The server got us situated and welcomed us for our first visit. She explained the menu, and gave us a few minutes to decide. I read that they had won awards for their mocktails, so I ordered one. It was rich and creamy, the perfect balance to the dishes. The fire cracker calamari had a nice kick to it, but the sauce was the real star of the show. We found ourselves going back for more of that. The pork belly and rice was yummy too. The standout dish for me was the Pad Phrik Gang Gai. It was SO good. The spice level was bold and flavorful with the perfect kick. It might be a little too spicy for some people, but if you like heat, this dish absolutely delivers. Every bite was packed with flavor. Between the incredible atmosphere, great service, and standout food, Thai Pop is a five star experience. I will absolutely be back!

The ranch served alongside tasted fresh like it was house-made, too. My husband loved his meal: custom burger with fries. The bun was even great quality. I had the grilled chicken with toasted quinoa salad. The portion size was massive, and it was a very good mix of flavors and textures. I've never had quinoa toasted in this way before. The baguette piece along with it was great, too. We were too full to order dessert, which was a shame, as they had bread pudding on the menu, one of my favorites. We'll need to come back!

Just wanted a bit more sauce. The salmon was cooked well with a crispy skin underneath. Flavors played together nicely with the textures. We enjoyed the dessert as the textures (there's a theme here) had great interplay with the flavors in the dish. Only wish that pastry was hot. The ambience is nice and chill. It can feel a bit cramped but gives kinda a speakeasy vibe meets hipster. Note that finding parking is a bit challenging here. There are two booths on the window that would make excellent date spots. The reason for the rating is due to the service. I made a reservation for the spot and made reference to it being our anniversary. However, nothing was done to reference the reason for the dinner. I had never been there and didn't know about the booth availability. The place was busy but we didn't get much attention (menus were left on the table, didn't get small plates to eat the Drummies properly, got one refill of water toward the end, etc). I felt bad about this rating because I've read people enjoying the experience. However, this is what I experienced. The food is great. Service could be better.
