This was my second time coming to Crave. The first was almost 3 years ago, while I was visiting. Today, it was as we were traveling through on our way back home. We stayed at the hotel and just wanted to eat/drink without having to go out in the cold. It was around 7 pm and we thought it would be busy for a Saturday, it was not. There were three of us. We were seated right away. At first, we had one server who took our drink orders and then he got busy with other tables so we were forgotten about for about 10 minutes before ordering. But, that was alright. Gigi, became our server and she was also bartending. She was the best! She was on it. After dinner, a large group came into the bar and she was pumping those drinks out so fast. My brother-in-law ordered a 3 course meal off the guest appreciation menu, which was a great deal for $39.00. My husband and I ordered the calamari for an appetizer. Very overpriced for the food. The open room is very loud and echoes making it difficult to hear anyone. The chairs are like patio furniture and not comfortable. My sushi roll was more rice than fish and just fell apart. I think they have better sushi at Hy-Vee. The fries were good. The flatbread pizza was good. We were at Crave as part of a large group (24). This did not diminish the service one iota. The observers assigned to us with polite, professional, accurate and swift. They worked hard to stay on top of everything at the long table. We started out with several of the meatball appetizers as well as sushi. I can't vouch for the sushi since it didn't make it to my end of the table, but the meatballs and sauce were delicious. The garlic bread that came with it was a nice accompaniment to the very flavorful red sauce that the trio of meatballs was served in. For dinner I had the rigatoni with a spicy Italian sausage sauce. The rigatoni was Al dente and the meat sauce was very good. The spicy sausage was tasty without the spice being overwhelming. The only negative - and it wasn't really terrible - was that the atmosphere, while pleasant, is open and was a bit crowded. However it was a Thursday evening with a trade show in town. I can imagine other nights are perfectly fine. I will definitely come back and bring my wife for a date night. Though at a premium price point it's not a place I would consider for a regular night out. read more

We've stopped in for lunch or dinner several times over the last couple of years so I thought I should finally write a review. Crave is conveniently located at Hotel Indigo. This is a perfect location if you are visitor of the Mayo Clinic and need a delicious meal or beverage. Every time we dine at Crave we have a great experience. We typically sit at the bar and the bartenders are always very friendly and attentive. I order dirty martinis and the bartenders always fill to the rim and they are always chilled! Perfect. I hate it when bars will pour a partial glass martini. These are always prepared properly. They also have half bottles of wine one night a week. This visit I ordered the burger and it was cooked a proper medium. The fries were hot and crispy. It was a delicious burger and fries. My husband enjoyed sushi and said they were delicious. I wish I would have taken pictures. In addition to the food, it has a great atmosphere with very nice views as the windows are practically floor to ceiling. Ordered two apps and a main dish. All the food tasted really good! It was just weird because the serving sizes of the apps was much bigger then the main pasta dish. The waygu meatballs had 4 decent sized meatballs. The sticky ribs had 5 really meaty ribs that were perfectly cooked. The meat came right off the bone. The cocktails: The smoky Manhattan was definitely smoky but not alcohol coward. The "Crave Old Fashioned" was so bad our friend sitting at another table sent there's back. Ours was the same very watered down and you would think with two different whiskeys in the glass you would be able to taste at least one of them. If Crave is calling this their signature old fashioned they should get it right. Went there on 12/17/25 for lunch. Service was poor even though the 4 of us were 1 table of only 4 tables in total that were occupied. The prices are insanely expensive. We ordered 2 manhattans ($18 each!) and even after giving specific directions on how we wanted them made we had to send one back. The other cocktails on the specialty menu were $15 to $20+. I visited Crave for breakfast. The bartender was my server and she was attentive, prompt and helpful. The morning ambiance was bright and cheerful, as I was seated in a booth at the window. The premises looked clean and well tended. I don't recall the item's name on the menu but it was a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with fried egg, bacon, cheese and avocado. The side was cheesy hash browns. The food was hot, perfectly presented and very tasty. My coffee cup was kept filled and the coffee was hot and respectable (sorry, I'm kinda a coffee snob). After a long hard 10 days of work in remote Owatonna Minnesota. My buddy and I took the liberty to drive to Rochester, for a nice getaway celebratory dinner (both of us got promoted) at sushi place he has frequented before and thought I would appreciate. We approached a very subtle metropolis with a huge following for the Mayo Clinic-Hospital I realized that there were a LOT of hospitals all along the avenue towards the restaurant. Needless to say that this city is frequented by hospital staff visitors and patients and patients families. Once we parked in the Ashe cent garage we entered the hotel and walked up to the second floor, just past the veranda we spotted a large atrium where people were seated at the bar. We were then directed to our table. Very nice widow seating in which we can see the hustle and bustle in to the evening I ordered a roll and fried calamari, the calamari came out hot and quick, and the roll came out in its massive state, (me thinks it's two nori sheets worth. But the prices reflect the portion sizes. A lot of celebrations going on in the room with the obligatory fizzing candles and ice cream- brownie sundaes. Since it was another 40 mins back we left just slightly after nine and I had to open the restaurant at 5 am the next day. It's worth taking another visit if I ever get to come back. read more

We had a mediocre meal served just warm not hot and paid fine dining prices. A large part of the restaurant is a glassed-in room that was cold and drafty in the winter evening. While our server was kind and professional, she vanished after our order because the place seemed very understaffed during the busy weeknight with many holiday parties. When asked if they had Dr. Pepper, they stated they don't serve name brand sodas and have Dr. Better. For a place of this caliber, you would think they would serve name brand sodas. Our meal was $120 with no drinks, splitting two appetizers between two other couples and a piece of chocolate cake. The atrium is open and bright in the day and dimmer with a calming relaxed feel in the evening. There is a big bar with lots of seating. There are booths in the bar area. The atrium has booths along the windows so you can see Broadway Street. The food is ahhhhmazing. The Buffalo shrimp were big and succulent. My Garlic Lemon Chicken came with 2 large flavorful breast on top of mashed potatoes with broccolini. You could taste the garlic and lemon, it was very tasty. There was a 4.75% surcharge and I was shocked to find out about this that at the end of the meal.
