I enjoy Red Lobster but I have to acknowledge that you can definitely tell that it is mass-produced frozen food, reheated ... except for the biscuits of course. Those biscuits were delivered as soon as we were seated. I know that the service staff want clients in the same section but when there are only a few diners, they do not all have to be at a few tables all clustered together. As for food: The scallops are the smallest things ever seen. The flounder comes in pretty curled wide strips that taste like any random white fish, such as tilapia. The popcorn shrimp are delicious but I think even more batter and less shrimp than they used to be. However, the butterfly shrimp and shrimp scampi both taste like actual shrimp. Particularly the shrimp in the scampi. Though I think the best tastes came first. The seafood stuffed mushrooms were absolutely delicious! After 3 they begin to taste too salty. I am sure this is by design. Since it was one of the rare occasions that I could have seafood (my spouse being allergic) I appreciated the food greatly. The decor still included the older brass lamps with the lantern shape at the top. I love those. We hadn't been to a Red Lobster for several years since the ones near us closed down. So when we were in Rochester, MN, at the Mayo Clinic and we saw one there, we jumped at the chance to go, especially after seeing the TV ads for their new seafood boils. Well... The seafood boil was $50...too expensive for me. They had a smaller one without lobster for $35, so I decided to get that. However, one menu said it contained smoked sausage but the menu insert referred to Cajun sausage. I asked our server which one it was or if there was a choice, and he said they just had Cajun; and since I don't like anything spicy, I wasn't able to get what we came for. So I had the shrimp trio, with breaded shrimp, shrimp scampi, and shrimp linguini Alfredo. My husband had the lobster & shrimp linguini. The food was just okay: nothing special. I really didn't care for the breaded shrimp, which was heavily breaded, which overpowered the taste of the shrimp. read more

Well being a business owner myself, I hate to give a bad review, but maybe the management team will read this and make some adjustments. We arrived on time for our reservations but they couldn't locate them. The three employees that were hurtled near the front door seemed to have no sense of urgency or hospitality etiquette, but that was cool. We were seated because the restaurant was not too busy. Later I found out by speaking to the person that made the reservation and who called back up to find out what had happened, that the first letter of my last name was left off. Sounds funny, but how hard is it to rationalize that a person standing in front of you stating that they have a reservation, that matches to a reservation in your system almost exactly, but missing a letter; is not the same person? Customer service has taking a nose dive and one of the driving reasons why the services industry is declining. Our food came and was very disappointing! We were trying to treat ourselves to a good a different meal for Valentine's Day and was not truly impressed. The lobster tails were the smallest tails we have ever seen and the portions sizes of everything were much smaller that we have ever seen at Red Lobster. When asked about how we enjoyed it and we expressed our lack of enjoyment, nothing was said or done to make our overall experience any better. We were not looking for anything free or any special treatments, but rather a sincere expression of concern that our opinions as customers mattered. MY Mom and I went to Red Lobster for lunch today in Rochester, Minnesota, and the dining experience could not have been better. We both ordered the 3 Course Shrimp Sensation $19.99, Caesar salads and coconut shrimp with pina colada sauce. They were huge and perfectly cooked, browned. I also had scampi large portion and delicious! She had Walt's shrimp as second option, also perfectly browned and cooked just right. Pretty full by now but our sides came out. Me baked potato and Mom rice pilaf. Always leave room for dessert so we split a small piece of key lime pie with whipped cream Our server Devyn was attentive, personable, and accommodating, as well! Usually pretty good good but the service was kind of a disaster tonight. Salad came out with the meal instead of before. That is if you even got your meal... as I'm sitting here watching my family eat some version of what they ordered. The waitress was nice enough but very scattered. Forgot my drink order too... if i had a complex I would've read into her bringing me a Diet Coke (instead of what I ordered) and only my side salad for dinner-- no dinner for you chunky! I've been here twice now, two years apart, when visiting Rochester. As Red Lobsters go, this one is very good -- good service, good food, good ambience, not at all crowded for Friday lunch. Will probably continue to make this our "Sunday-lunch-before-leaving-town" spot each fall. (3/4 of the tables had not been cleared yet) After 20 minutes, I pleaded with the hostess to find anyone to serve us. After another 10 minutes of no acknowledgement, we walked out. We came in this afternoon to celebrate our anniversary. Our waiter Andrew was a gem. I ordered the shrimp and Lobster tacos and my husband the house shrimp. Oh man the food was delicious. And my husband had a classic margarita. The food was terrific as was the margarita. I think we will definitely be back again and soon. The order size was appropriate, however I felt like the price of about twenty dollars was a bit much. I reccomend their pina colada, the price is ok, the size is large and the taste is great. Its located in the parking lot of the apache mall, which is an ok spot. The atmosphere is nice as well, however it is a bit dim inside for my myself. Came here in 2 days (it's been awhile since I've had red lobster ) I was served by BRIAN and he was an amazing sever the $20 endless shrimp is back and he checked on my table on my table many times always made sure we were okay . Had a wait today but still got us in at a pleasurable time. The food was very good beyond fresh and hot . I tried everything on the $20 endless and had a couple drinks and the drinks do not disappoint for a nice price . Brian T. was our server there no 6/10/23. He was so blatantly rude, unkind, and unhelpful to my sister and parents who sat at one end of a table of 12, and cordial and genial to my other sister's sisters-in-law at the other end of the table. It's so boring and obvious why - we are melaninated, the other end of the table is not. When asked the pricing difference on sides vs. premium sides, you can simply say 'It's a $2 difference after you do the math" rather than "It should say there" with undertones of "read, stupid," when it in fact does not say the price difference. When we sat down for our 11am reservation, LITERALLY 1 other table had occupants, yet by the way he was huffing and puffing at our taking the time we need to consider the menu, one would've thought he had 10 other tables to serve. The restaurant was empty except for us and 1 other table that looked like it had a different server anyway - because our reservation was right at the restaurant's opening. He ignored my dad over and over trying to get his attention to refill his order. It was asshole behavior. Do better, Brian T. On our way out of the restaurant, me and my sister (the one he was rude to) walked by him - nothing, crickets. But guess who was walking behind her? The non-melanated sisters-in-law and he was all "Have a good day!" LOLz. It would be boring if it wasn't so lame. How disheartening and you are very blessed we did not call you out publicly while sat at the table, because one sister advised we didn't. This is not very uncommon in Rochester, apparently. I'm writing this review mainly for my husband, like someone else said...it's a Red Lobster. I am not a seafood person. I will say that I worked at 2 different Red Lobsters for 7 years in high school and college. We went because my husband wanted to go for the all you can eat shrimp and he loved it. He also likes the stuffed mushrooms and he loved it. The only thing he didn't like was that he got the strawberry lemonade and we had to pay for refills. I got the steak and it was ok...I don't like any fat on my steak. I didn't have much of a choice as far as that goes. The mashed potatoes and veggies were yummy! I love th biscuits...I dip those in French dressing. I'm sure we'll be back...for my husband! read more

Ordered the endless shrimp Monday lunch special. Loved the garlic Scampi, but the wood fired es a tad dry. So much for grilled shrimp. Service was very good. I usually drink water at restaurants, and my server kept the glass full. I never had to ask. Wish I would have got a little butter for the bread, but I never asked. Was in the mood for Seafood and decided to give Red Lobster a try for take out. They have the fish fry Friday like $3 off fish and chips decided to get that and a salad. More like fish fry f**k you! Really disappointing. For starters they only give you one piece of fish and it was pretty small! Barely any fries and like a small scoop of coleslaw. Back to the fish, it was soggy and overcooked barely edible. Fries were fine. Caesar salad I got, some lettuce was brown and the dressing was meh. On the site it says you get two complimentary biscuits, well I didn't even get the crumbs. Very very disappointing experience to say the least. I ended up going and get something else to properly fill me up. Id hate to see what the rest of the food looks like. Poor excuse for seafood! read more

Other than Yelp can't get the business information right for this place, this Red Lobster is the best one in the nation I have been too. Don't let yelp fool you that the restaurant is closed. It actually moved about a year ago from downtown to out by the mall, so use the map location not the address supplied above. This was the first time I have been to this location, but had been to the other location several times when in Rochester. I've always had fast, friendly and fun wait staff. They are always on top of filling up the biscuits and the drinks. Food is always really good and comes out hot. Only one small complaint is they recently started chopping up the cucumbers in their salad so they are harder to pull out, but I guess such as life. This past trip we had a party of 8 and everybody had a good time and enjoyed the food we had ordered. We got everything from fish, shrimp, chicken, steak, crab and nobody had any complaints. It's a Red Lobster. I don't so much like chains, but I DO love crab legs. So...my tummy led my mom and I here while we were visiting! We decided to split the meal where you create your own meal. We got the shrimp alfredo and the crab legs (and extra $2.50). It also comes with a side (we chose the baked potato) and a salad and all the cheddar bay biscuits you can eat. Let me be perfectly clear: I am a total fatty when it comes to those delicious little cheddar bay biscuits. I have made some comparable ones at home, but nothing compares to those garlicky morsels of awesome. They come hot and fresh to your table. The are buttery and they break apart so easily. The seasoning is perfect inside and out. It also does a great job to sop up the alfredo sauce that missed the noodles. Not that I would have any experience with that.... ::digs toe in the dirt:: Moving on. Our meal came with some alfredo (noodles cooked really well), ample sauce, and LOTS of delicious little baby shrimp on top. YUM. There were three crab legs for my mom and I to fight over (and fight we did). Our total including tip was $27 which was a really good deal for lunch for two. It was the right amount, and our drinks were always quickly refilled. Our waitress was awesome, and she was also tending the bar at the same time. We didn't drink, but they had some amazing looking drinks in their little booklet. I would love to try one of those next time. I'm sure those prices are set by corporate, but jeez louise. Our server was soo attentive and accommodating (possibly because we were seated by the kitchen but she got a good tip regardless). We ordered off the regular menu and still somehow ended up paying around $80 for a dinner for two. Food wasn't outstanding, pretty mediocre. My husband,our best friend and myself went to Red Lobster yesterday at 4. To avoid the Saturday dinner crowd. Were seated immediately. The waitress was at our table within minutes taking our drink orders. Shortly after serving our beverages she was taking our food orders. Salads were first along with a basket full of Cheddar Bay Biscuits. The only complaint I had was that the salad dressing on my salad was very sparse. I could have spoke up but didn't. Food was delivered piping hot and plenty of it. I had the Admiral's Feast which I brought most of it home with me. My husband will take it for his lunch tomorrow. He had the Endless Shrimp and it was endless. Can't remember what our friend had but she was happy with it I wanted to buy a $50 gift card as a birthday gift and they were out of gift cards. The manager felt bad about this so he gave us a $10 coupon. With a 2 year expiration date. All-in-all, a very good experience but we have never had a bad meal there. Highly recommended. read more

Fresh smoothies and fresh seafood I mean you can literally see the lobsters in the tank at the front. I would recommend the mango smoothie as a drink. They have a great kids menu very friendly and cute. The whole theme and authenticity of a crab boat is very appropriate and they have the best lobster. read more
