The steaks are ridiculously tender, juicy and seasoned so simply that the flavor of the meat does all the talking. You can even cut it with plastic silverware if you need too! Like.. melt-in-your-mouth, cancel all your plans after, think about it for days...kind of good!!!!! Do NOT forget about the Greek spaghetti...the perfect combination of butter, cheese and whatever secret ingredient they use, is the best sidekick to the steak! I normally choose the filet. The Bread: just get it. Used best as a juice cleaner upper when you are saddened by the steak already being digested and all you have left is the liquid reminder that you just housed as steak faster than an Indy Car. Bingo it was spot on! You are greeted with that classic RC vibe that invited you in and says stay a while. The food was absolutely perfect, and there was plenty of it. The staff is very attentative and there is absolutely nothing wrong! I mean you really can't fault this place. Needless to say I've been going since they opened, I believe it was 2024/2025. At any rate I still haven't gotten to my review.... Now for the good stuff! Here it is almost thanksgiving 2025 and we need a Thanksgiving dinner for a small group of family and friends. Of course my default was RC. I called and spoke to a gentleman named Taylor. I didn't ask his position or what he was responsible for, or anything like that. I had a few questions about the online order and he was very helpful, courteous and very professional. He helped me add some items and change some others. In really couldn't ask for more. Mind you they were getting swamped for orders. Long story short everything went off without a hitch! The turkey was out of this world and I wish they had it year round on the menu. Of course we got extra for leftovers. Sides, amazing, stuffing- mind blowing, salad- classic and the potato dishes, yam dishes and other veggies were perfection. Long story short after the holidays died down I decided to call and let the general manager know what a fantastic job this fellow Taylor did! Viola! It turns out Taylor is the general manager! Here's a guy who is the captain of the ship and he takes time during the busiest time of the year to talk to and help out some guy on the phone (me). I can't say enough! Thank you again and we'll be back!

My wife ordered the walleye and lobster, and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was. I had the filet mignon, cooked exactly the way I like it. And don't skip the sides. Seriously. The bread pudding, au gratin potatoes, and coleslaw are all must‑haves. They're the kind of dishes that remind you why this place has been around for generations. We'll definitely be back. I believe it's the oldest restaurant in Minnesota, and it definitely has that historic charm. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday, and it was a really nice experience. The place is well-kept, and the inside has lots of old photos and antiques, which add to the cool atmosphere. The service was great--everyone was friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was decent. We tried the steak, lobster, salmon, and their famous onion rings. The onion rings were probably the standout, but overall, the food was just okay, especially considering the prices, which are a bit on the high side for the area. Drinks were fine, nothing too special. If you're ever near Rochester or in southern Minnesota, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. The restaurant is worth a visit for the history alone, and the town of Mantorville is super cute with nice people. It's a great little place to explore!

I love Pittsburgh Blue whenever I'm in the Twin Cities, and now the Rochester location has won me over too with its fireplace and warm welcoming atmosphere. The double stack burger and the six Parmesan garlic wings were both delicious and an amazing value during happy hour. Ambiance of this place is a little different, there was one full section that is literally small booths, parallel to large booths and it was just kind of weird. The brick walls were fantastic. I bet it gets pretty loud in there. General review (unrated): The price for the rest of the menu for me, was absurd. Coming from Chicago area these prices were on par with places in downtown Chicago. Just didn't really make much sense to me, especially with the recent reviews stating the cook of the steaks was such a challenge. For those prices, the cook of the steak best be perfect.

We found the five course tasting menu to be interesting, but neither my wife nor I found the food to be delicious or memorable. Quality ingredients were top notch and the preparation and plating excellent, but we just didn't care for the flavors or combinations that came out. We expect when we get a tasting menu to have a few dishes that might miss the mark for us -- that's sort of the point. You're exploring the chef's ideas and dishes. It's strange when none of the dishes really hit with our palates and we travel all over the world in search of amazing food and dining experiences. To make matters somewhat worse, we did the wine pairing and oftentimes with the courses we found the wine did not pair incredibly well with the plates. Further, when the wine was served we never saw a bottle once and were never told about the winery, the vintage, etc. -- only the type of wine it was and what flavors we could expect. We've never had that before with a wine pairing. We encourage the chef to continue to explore his palate, creativity, and imagination and we look forward to the possibility of coming back again some time in the future to see how this chef and menu may have evolved.

Highly recommend the confit potatoes which are cooked in marrow fat with this really nice cheese cream sauce. Overall I think the highlight of most of their dishes including the Manti Dumplings and Bone Marrow risotto are their sauces which are well rendered, have a nice citrus tang to them (could be strong for some) or bone marrow rendered fat flavor. Service was great at the bar with our server giving us recommendations on how best to have our dishes. Food came out decently quick with the app first then mains. Was very pricey though worth it if you're looking for a nice treat with friends, partners, or family! :) Ambiance was chill and nice overall.
