For food, you either order at a kiosk or via an app, which I don't love. Fountain drinks are self serve and they have free popcorn. Fries were really good too but a bit pricey. Overall very tasty and friendly service. Would def go again.

Went there 2 Thursdays ago, after a LONG day at the Mayo Clinic. This place was just down the block from where we were staying and it was highly rated, so why not? Pulled up around 4 pm or so, the music outside was blaring so loud, I almost left. Had my wife not been so hungry (she had to fast that day for tests) I would have. Went inside and was greeted warmly by a host who explained the myriad of ways to order. So I stepped up to the ordering kiosk and, having reviewed menu items before hand, Ordered a single for my wife and a double burger for me. I asked the host what came with that, and was told everything was ala cart so kept it plain, but ordered some fries for both of us. Water for both. So, a double, single, fries, 2 water and the order came to over $30, which really surprised me. Expecting a great burger, I sat and the greeter brought FREE popcorn t our table, which was extremely salty and stale to boot. Burgers came on a nice-looking bun. I looked inside my bun and was greeted by the most pathetic looking 2 burgers I have ever seen. Overdone, dry and SMALL. It felt like they were reheated from lunch. 2 patty's didn't equal one patty at most other places. Had my wife not been so hungry, I would have gotten up and left. Even the two pickles (which are homemade, with a nice zing) didnt make the burgers any better. There were only about 6 people in the store so NO EXCUSES for not getting a better effort from the chef! So, conclusion, DON'T waste your money on this place. I would have been better off at Micky D's or Bugger King and saved money to boot. I WILL NOT be going back, which is too bad as I will be staying in the Rochester area for an extended period of time and about 10 minutes from this place. OH, Sorelina's, across the street is awesome, we at there the night before.

The Burger Monarchy: A Paradox of Plenty in Miesville In the…read morequiet, pastoral stretches outside Eagan, there exists a roadside institution that defies the modern trend of curated minimalism. King's Place in Miesville is a relic of a different era, a burger joint that functions less like a restaurant and more like a high-volume assembly line of Americana. The menu is not merely large; it is an overwhelming, multi-page manifesto of beef. With roughly 80 to 100 variations on the burger--many named in tribute to the local Miesville Mudhens baseball team--the experience begins with a bout of genuine decision paralysis. For the average diner, the sheer volume of choices feels like a dare. It is a place where you can find almost any topping imaginable, which makes the absence of a simple fried mushroom all the more jarring. It is the one note the kitchen fails to hit in an otherwise exhaustive symphony. When the food does arrive, the logistics are the primary entertainment. The floor staff at King's Place perform a nightly feat of athletic grace, weaving through the crowded, character-filled dining room while balancing five or more burger trays at a time. It is a spectacle of efficiency that puts the sterile, automated nature of modern chains to shame. However, one must navigate the side dishes with a discerning eye. While the temptation to "upgrade" is always present, the seasoned waffle fries are an investment that yields little return; they are best skipped in favor of the standard fare. The real value here lies in the core product and the refreshing lack of pretension. Despite the fame and the daunting menu, the pricing remains stubbornly reasonable, a rare feat for an establishment that has transitioned from a local secret to a regional landmark. "Life is too short to miss out on the beautiful things like a double cheeseburger." -- Channing Tatum For those seeking the predictable polish of a franchise, King's Place will be a confusing sensory overload. But for the traveler who values soul, speed, and a price point that respects the wallet, this is a kingdom worth visiting--just don't expect to find a fried mushroom on your plate. Foods kids will eat but with more refined options for adults- like the brussels and cauliflower which were crazy good. Tender florets with crispy exterior and well seasoned. The burgers were super tasty and honestly ate more like a sandwich (in the best way) because of the seasoning and other components. Adults had the mushroom- swiss and the OB. The kids cheeseburger was large and came with a generous serving of fries. 5yo also loved the cheese curds. They were a slightly distinctive style with cornmeal in the breading so very crunchy even after cooling off. Waitress was friendly and accommodating and food came promptly. We will 100% be back on our next trip to Eau Claire in the Spring. I would eat the cauliflower weekly if we lived close by. I also loved that they had dye free sodas and rootbeer.

It's a vintage-looking building with a fenced outdoor area filled with tables and metal chairs. Umbrellas provide shade if needed. Inside, there's a bar with seating and several tables of different sizes. The space has a vintage vibe with bare brick walls, a metal ceiling, wood floors, and even a six-foot-high metal vault door. We were greeted right away by our cheerful server, who explained the menu and took our drink order. I went with the mocktail, St. Peri Spritz (there's also a version with alcohol). While waiting for the rest of our group to arrive, we played some of the games available. There were several other groups there, some with kids, and the noise level was just right for conversation. When everyone arrived, we placed our full order: cheese curds for an appetizer, then a variety of burgers with sides including fries, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower. The cheese curds came out first -- a generous portion and served hot. The breading had (what I think) chili flakes mixed in, giving it a little spice without being overpowering. Very good. The accompanying Spicy Valley Sauce was a nice addition and, again, not too hot. The burgers followed shortly after, and they were all excellent. I had the Wisco Whiz with cheddar, whiz, bacon, dijonnaise, caramelized onion, pickles, and a pretzel bun. It was almost perfect. The only disappointment was the bacon, which was tough and detracted from an otherwise amazing burger, so I set it aside. All the sides we ordered were also very good -- my Brussels sprouts were outstanding. Overall, a fantastic first visit. Excellent burgers, friendly service (thanks, Aubrey), and a casual atmosphere. Would love to come back again (hold the bacon).

My kids liked their meals, especially with the included dessert of homemade gelato. My wife and I had the Smokehouse Smorgasbord which offered a good sampling of all the meats and sides. We liked all the meat options, full of flavor and tender. Portions were plentiful and we both ate our fill. I have to make a special note on the chicken and turkey, most times, those choices make the bottom of my list but their poultry was so juicy and tender! There was also a lot of variety when it came to sauces - sweet, heat, mustard based, vinegar based, it was all represented. Prices were fair and service was "small town" chill and friendly. Two saucy thumbs way up!

It was getting busier by the time we left at noon; they also handled a lot of take-out orders. I'm glad we were there on a rainy Friday in the off-season--I can only imagine how packed this place would be in the summer! Service was great the whole time. A single-sided big menu has most of the food offerings, but there is a separate Spam menu that can be brought out on request. My husband had a beer while I was happy they had cans of local Loon Juice cider available. For our appetizer, we ordered a side item: fried okra. I don't think we've found okra anywhere else in the state! It was perfectly cooked with a cornmeal coating, piping hot and delicious. I had the Smokin' BBQ Platter. I had brisket for my meat option, with coleslaw and cornbread on the side. Perfectly cooked brisket, not dry at all. I'm an avid home baker and something of a cornbread snob, and this was excellent stuff--a perfect little loaf, sweet and perfect with butter melted within it. My husband had the Combination Platter with pulled pork and ribs. Now, he is a rib snob, having BBQed many over the years, and he declared these to be perfect (a rare thing to find in a restaurant). Not a shred of meat remained on the bone. Pulled pork was great, too, and he agreed that the cornbread was something special. He liked having pit potatoes, too, something that isn't common. Three kinds of BBQ sauce sat on our table in full, non-sticky squeezable containers. I tried the bourbon and loved it. My husband also tried the inferno; he can handle a lot of heat and said it wasn't really hot to his perception, but the flavor was good. In all, a fantastic experience here. I'd definitely come here again when passing through.
