Through our meal I had to listen to the servers complain about having too many tables etc. I ordered 12 ounce prime rib , mashed potatoes with horseradish. The beef and potatoes came out cool with no horseradish. Didn't see our server after we ordered until she delivered the check. I finally asked one of the unhappy staff at the server station for the horseradish. Very disappointing visit. We stopped in at about 5:30 so they were not busy, can't use that as an excuse. read more

Well I really don't like to leave bad reviews but I must say this is one I had to write.....,I went to the Outback Steakhouse with my daughter and we really had a taste for steak and prime rib I had the prime rib seasoned the one that the waiter recommended that's the best and I must say it was the worst I'm still not feeling well two days later from the meal I would not recommend the prime rib at all but overall the rest was ok read more

When you come to Outback you definitely should get and bloomin onion, but you will need someone to share with because it's huge. :) The steaks are perfectly seasoned and the bread and butter is scrumptious. On my recent visit I was a bit dismayed that i was not seated in the order of arrival due to giving us a buzzer that was never activated. When I did mention to the hostess that many people who arrived after us were being seated she did apologize for giving a buzzer that was not activated and had us seated right away. There was some confusion with food service as well as we were brought another tables food and drinks. I give a three star because service is average however the food and drinks are great. I must say that I am extremely pleased with this location. I ordered for delivery and totally forgot that I ordered drinks. Later, I heard the doorbell and saw Another delivery driver. Now I am a good 25-30 min away from the restaurant and they drove all the way back to deliver 4 drinks and a complimentary dessert. This was exceptional service because they could have just refunded me the payment but they went above and beyond to be sure that they fulfilled the order obligation. When an establishment cares that much about their restaurant and it's customers, it shows that a great deal of work and effort goes into their establishment & if it isn't right they will try to fix it. First the good - great service. Good ribs and Mac & cheese. The bad : I ordered the Alice chicken and my daughter ordered the salad with the grilled chicken. We both agreed that the flavor wasn't good but worse was the texture. Just a funky chicken texture. My husband's salmon was slimyish. And the bill - over a hundred bucks! Never again. BIG disappointment--$30 steak was poor quality, awful, couldn't eat it. Told management, they offered to bring a new one, but I declined. If one $30 steak is bad, then the whole lot is bad. Where did Outback get their steak? Awful. Service needs improvement, too--had to ask for tea refill, more bread, had to get up to ask for salad dressing because server forgot and was standing in back instead of checking on customers. Bloomin! Onion and service were the best things about this visit. IMHO, the prime rib was severely lacking in flavor. Texture and tenderness was fine, but the flavor for this $25. Piece of meat was not simply not there. My wife ordered the lobster (never order sea food at a steak joint, I cautioned). And it too was lacking in flavor, VERY petite lobsters. Nice presentation. It is a chain restaurant. Sometimes you will luck up, and you will have the cook/chef that is having a great week and will decide to shower your food with love. More times than not, you will get the same taste here that you would find at any of the gazillion Outback restaurants around the nation! Sometimes service can be slow at this location, but normally the waiters are attentive and will let you know that they will get to you. The entire organization does need to offer out more specials and promotions. The citrus infused water while you wait is definitely refreshing and needed some times when the wait is long. I do like Outback... most of the time. Every now and then they will overcook my steak. But most of the time it has been fairly consistent. When we go for lunch I always get the prime rib sandwich with fries. Be sure to get a side of the tiger sauce, it goes great on everything. Makes a great fry dip as well. For dinner I always get the ribeye, fries and salad with blue cheese. Yep every time, if its not broke don't fix it. Normally I have a Fosters draft or an Ice tea. This past time I tried a limited edition drink they were offering. The Key Lime Coconut Rita... A mixture of tequila, key lime whipped vodka, citrus juice and coconut. It was Great! I ordered take out and did curbside pick up. The wait was a little longer than anticipated but It was Friday night so it was understandable. I order the sirloin medium well done and it was phenomenal. Extremely juicy, full of flavor and it exceeding my expectations. I also ordered grilled shrimp with my dish which was also delicious. My meal came to total $22 which wasn't too bad for me. For the flavor and quality of food I ate, I think $22 was a great deal. Way to end the our year with terrible food & service. It was New Year's Eve with about a 15 minute wait. When we were seated the rush had died down. The wings & prime rib we wanted was sold out for the night. Which we understand. I don't understand why it took 20 min to get the awesome blossom (snack size portion) When we received our entree my pasta was for sure sitting under the heating lamp. I came here with my family and we had Ethan as a server! He was very respectful and on top of everything! He made our experience better despite what was lacking in the restaurant. This outback is falling apart and it is very apparent that the owner isn't putting money into the restaurant and it seems like they are trying to save money other places as well. For example, the seats are slashed at multiple booths. Also, they no longer give bottles of steak sauce. They began pouring it for us in a side dish. Overall, this particular Outback has been continuously going down hill the last couple years. It is just not the same dining experience and at times, the food is not on point. We visited this restaurant last night (2nd time in 2 weeks). I tried to order a prime rib .. but was told they had "just" ran out of prime rib (if only we had arrived just 5 minutes sooner!); so, I tried to order the New York Strip. About 5 minutes late, I'm told they "just" ran out of that too!! By this time, I'm ready to leave as odds were increasing that the restaurant must not have had much left - you know, with the full house and barrage of to-go orders that clearly wasn't visible from where we sat. Anyway, I asked about the Porterhouse. I guess at $30, this one certainly must be available. Our waiter (Micah) offered the Porterhouse at the same price as the prime rib (16 oz), which was great of him to do. I had asked for 'medium rare.' The steak arrived and the outside was medium rare, but once into the middle and towards the bone, it was not only rare .. but raw, in places. I stopped eating it ... casually mentioned to a waitstaff member who checked on us about the insufficiently cooked steak and told him I was going to razz our waiter. He did ask about putting it back on the grill. He should know that it doesn't work that way. The steak would have to be replaced, which I wasn't going to wait another 30 minutes for a new one (besides, with the way the seating began, I had probably ordered the last Porterhouse anyway). Micah showed up about 10 minutes later. I started the conversation with "this isn't on you." Then, I showed him the meat .. he clearly saw how rare (and, in some places, raw) the steak was. I told him that I don't eat steak very much, but that Porterhouse was the worst I could ever recall having ordered - but told him the dog would love it. He casually went on about how things like this are seemingly always the waitstaff's fault; which, again, I reminded him the start of the conversation (he didn't cook it). He asked if we wanted a to-go box .. I said, yes, but told him to show the chef the steak. He chose not to do that. He also chose not to discuss with restaurant leadership. Micah, that was poor form. Although, the poorly cooked steak was not on you, the events following your awareness of it IS on you. Ordered Curbside to Go from Outback a little after 4p on Friday for a 6p pickup. We were excited to see Prime Rib back on the menu (it wasn't on there the last time we ordered from them). After entering the order, including 4 Prime Ribs, I tried to submit and pay for the order. An error message appeared stating that they only had Prime Rib from 11a to 4p (it was now 4:20p). Feeling heartbroken, I called and spoke to Samantha/Sabrina, who was surprised about the error and assured me that she'd look into it. Then she happily took my six person, two app, and one side order and said it would be no problem for us to pick it up at 6. We ran late picking up the food thanks to a brutal summer storm, but the food was ready as soon as we pulled up. Two employees brought the three bags of food to the car and were super friendly. Once we got home and handed out the food, we were able to dig in. The order was not only 100% correct, but everything was cooked to perfection for each of us. I really like the online ordering because you can specify whose meal is whose and makes handing out to go orders easier. We came in on a Saturday to enjoy an afternoon lunch at Outback SteakKaty location. As we entered the sign on the door said mask must be worn and keep 6 ft apart. As we begin to move towards our table to be seated no one in the restaurant was wearing a mask except the waiters and the hostess. How can you have the sign on the door and not practice precaution. People weren't spaced out nearly enough as they could've been If you are going to allow people to enter and not wear mask then take the sign down off the door. It's false advertising. When I asked the waiter the policy he really didn't know. You work here sir you should be more aware of what's happening at your restaurant. This facility offers subpar dinner service. It is typically dirty and you can have extended wait times. They will leave tables dirty and food sitting out on trays. You will have inconsistent food from the kitchen as other reviews have posted the same. I've ate here numerous times for lunch with great service but every time I try dinner it is a total bomb. This location was located a few miles down the road so we decided to come here and check out the new digs... bad idea. To start the parking lot was small. So there's not enough parking in their part of the parking lot to accommodate their business. We came with a party of 8, took about an hour to get in on a Friday night... that's nothing unusual I can deal with that. The table we sat at was nice and we had a Waite take our drink order within a few minutes of being seated. After about 10 minutes of waiting that same waiter came by and said our drinks would be coming she took the order for our actual waiter. Another 10 minutes wait we finally got our drinks... but not all of the drinks came out at once, and we didn't order any alcoholic drinks just sodas teas and waters. Our salads came out about 20 minutes after we ordered and our entrees writhing 5 minutes of getting our salads. Needless to say our table was crowded. My wife specifically comes here for the Cesar salads and it seems they changed their salads... their Cesar salads are made with iceberg and Romain mix lettuce... which makes the salad taste awful when you're eating the white parts of the iceberg lettuce. They ran out of the prime rib I had ordered, again, nothing unusual. But the prime rib I did get was dry like it had been out for a bit. We didn't even get a chance to order dessert the waiter just came out with the check and said "i can take care of those checks when your ready". Overall just a terrible experience, I have it a two star because at least the management was attentive as we were seeing other people at other tables complaining. This place has a long way to go to be a good restaurant, I won't be back except 1 time next year to see if things have changed. Everyone that knows me knows that I like to get the best bang for my buck. So when Outback Steakhouse advertized Steak and Unlimited shrimp for $15.99 I just had to try it out. So we did... We ordered their Blooming Onion for appetizer and was disappointed that it was overcooked, leaving that burnt, bitter taste on the batter. So our experience started on a negative note. Then came our steak and shrimp, I first chose the garlic herb shrimp, and I would recommend that too as your starter, more to this in a while. I also asked for a couple of wedges of lemon for my garlic herb shrimp. I recommend eating the shrimp first, then dipping your steak in what's left of the butter, garlic and herb sauce, delicious! Our server, Melissa was fantastic, she never gave me a chance to ask for something. My glass were never empty and the shrimp kept on coming. I just had to give her a 33% tip... There goes my bang for my buck, but totally worth it! Aside for the burnt blooming onion (hence the 4 stars), the experience was great! read more

I came here for a date with a friend, and it was a fantastic experience! My host and server treated us very well and were always there when we needed assistance. The food was also tasty and well above average. The complimentary bread is perfect with the butter. We got onion petal rings as an appetizer that were a tad too salty/dry for my liking. For the meal, we shared a Sirloin with unlimited shrimp (fried or garlic/butter). The Sirloin was cooked medium rare and one of the best I have ever had! Also, the garlic/butter shrimp is so yummy! I saved a plate for myself to take home. The fried shrimp was a bit too salty and dry for me. The best desert, by far, is the Double Chocolate parfait. It isn't too sweet; the flavor is very balanced. All in all, I recommend the Sirloin (medium rare) with unlimited garlic/butter shrimp and a Double Chocolate Parfait. Haven't been to Outback since moving away from Houston. This Katy location is okay. I must say that my steak was "perfect" I ordered it medium rare and the cook did an excellent job. My husband ordered chicken tenders. They did not get his order right. They brought out a steak for him too. Because of this I had to start eating without him because mine would get cold waiting. I ordered the steak and shrimp. Like I said, steak was great but the shrimps were small and I didn't care for the seasonings they used. I had a caesar salad and it was swimming in dressing. My husbands garden salad was great. The dressing was not overpowering. Just the right amount he said. The waitress was very pleasant but aside from getting the order wrong, she was hard to find. I had to flag her down for more tea. The restaurant was not busy and she and some of her co-workers seemed to be "visiting" a lot. Will I go back? Yes.
