We were killing time today while our RV is being serviced and using a day use hotel room within walking distance of this Outback so we decided to have lunch here Miranda was our serve- we had friendly and efficient service BUT I will say the 'Add ons add up '. Watch the add ons- they are pros at suggesting 'want some mushrooms on that steak' and it's $4 more- but it isn't mentioned. We were picturing a spoonful of mushrooms placed on the steak, what we received was a big bowl of mushrooms. The good news is, they were tasty, but we certainly wouldn't have ordered an entire side of mushrooms. We should know better for sure. Lunch sirloin and baked potato loaded $14.99 plus extra charge for mushrooms ($4) Soup and salad lunch for $10.99 ONLY includes baked potato soup. They only had two soups listed - so watch for that. My lunch 'special' ended up being $17 as a missed 'chili' is 'premium'- I did know the blue cheese chop was premium. Don't touch the table game thingy- my husband did not play a game, he just looked at it and we had a 'table game' $2.99 on our bill. No prices listed on the menu for soft drinks or tea and those ended up being $4.39 each- geesh Miranda removed the game charge- said it happens sometimes; so check your bill carefully. She also removed the uplift for the chili as a kind gesture due to my confusion. $45 for lunch. We need to read the fine print more closely next time for sure, check your bill carefully. . read more

Wow, I have not been in an Outback in a looooong time. The prices are waaaay higher than I remember. That being said, the food is still tasty. I had steak, shrimp, Cesar salad, spinach dip and of course...that free bread. No silly, not all for myself. I shared the bread. :P We stopped by around lunchtime on a random Saturday. It wasn't that busy. I guess that explains why the host was also the bartender and my server during my visit. They had a couple games playing on TV when we walked in, so that was a plus for the hubbers. The place was clean. I did not use restroom, so no comment on that. The server was pleasant. He even offered a to-go cup for my iced tea before I could ask for one. He read my mind. Bonus points. I sat at the corner of the bar unfortunately bartenders were not very attentive like the other locations ive been to I had to flag them down for each time I wanted to order drinks, appetizers and even longer when I want to order main dish. We've been to this Outback three times in the last month, and it's quickly become our neighborhood go-to. Even though it's a chain, it genuinely feels like a local favorite thanks to the warm atmosphere and the fantastic staff. We love sitting at the bar with Katie, Robert, and JJ, who make everyone feel like family. The three-course menu is a great value, but that doesn't mean the quality is compromised--the food tastes absolutely amazing. Food was fine but giving 5 stars for the service! Came for dinner for a party of 2 tonight and had a great experience! We were seated almost immediately and service was fast. I can't remember our server's name but she wore a patterned bandana/headband(?) and she was amazing! Super sweet and pleasant. Besides her, I noticed all the staff around us were very nice and pleasant as well. I got the 6oz center-cut sirloin steak with caesar salad and mashed potatoes. The steak looked so small but combined with the sides and bread it was a satisfying meal, enough for me. Steak was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. Mashed potatoes were okay. I had THE BEST time here the other night. It was a week day evening, and we didn't have to wait to be seated. The hostess was great and everyone was very helpful and friendly. There was lots of holiday decor, and the bar area had tvs with sports on. I had called ahead of time to see if they still had the koala bear drinks and they did but said they were running low on the koalas. I asked if they could set one aside for me and they did! I really appreciated that! I can't remember my waitresses name but she was really great. The gingerbread martini was awesome. Very sweet but also strong, a really good balance. And of course it came with the koala bear to keep. We ordered a blooming onion which was delicious, but very heavily deep fried. I also ordered the classic blue cheese wedge salad which was delicious! We also had the Mac and cheese bites which were great. I went to this location with my mom. I had a gift card so I wanted to treat my 90 yr old mom. I was at this location last month so was hesitant to come back since the young man who waited on us last time overcharged us. I decided to take a chance and was so happy I did. Our waiter Rob was excellent. He was friendly and helpful. I watched as he waited on a few other tables and his exceptional demeanor did not change. My mom and I are both senior citizens and he was very patient as he was with another table he served with two handicapped seniors. This gentleman is a great asset to this restaurant. The restaurant itself was quiet and clean. It had a few sports stations on the TVs. The coconut shrimp is tasty and my mom enjoyed her grilled chicken. I will return to this location and hopefully Rob will be our server once again. read more

I wanted to come to Outback Steakhouse because I heard of the koaladucks. I am a Jeep driver, so I was hooked at the rubber duck. I got the sirloin and shrimp on the barbie and it was really good. I ended up having two koala punches, so now I have two koaladucks, but they ran out of the blue ones so mine are yellow. I had the salad and bread prior to my entree and I think they filled me up, as I was able to take about half my entree home to eat the following day. Outback is a little pricier than my usual restaurant, but they are worth it. Next time I go back I think I want to try the filet Sheila. read more

Poor menu selections as everything on the menu has changed. They use to have prime rib anytime during the week. Now prime to is only served on Fridays and Saturdays. Also steak selections were subpar. I wanted a bone in ribeye. Only bone I rib eye was an 18oz nothing smaller. We ended up walking out and won't come back due to poor food selections. read more

Been going to the Outback on Bell Road for over 20 years. The quality has gone downhill over the last five years or so, Outback feels like an aging concept that needs a fresh makeover. In any case, we ordered over the phone. They said it would be ready by 8:30, we arrived around 8:40 and came through the take out entrance on the side. I noticed two other people waiting for their food, we sat at a nearby table. not very busy inside, plenty of staff members moving around and doing their thing. after ten minutes waiting, not a single person acknowledged us, said hello, said let me check on your order, we were completely ignored and finally just left and went and got a pizza elsewhere. It wasn't that they were busy, they were not, or that there were not enough employees to help everybody, there were, and it's not that the food was not ready on time, it wasn't, but when I walk into a business prepared to spend 50-100 dollars, I want to be treated like I matter, maybe a hello and let me check on your order would have sufficed. read more

My husband and I have been going to Outback for years but the past few times we decided to order take out. The first time it was good but the second time it seems to being going down hill. My husband was not happy with his steak, my side salad had very little cheese and 2 croutons and our onion soup there was no bread or melted cheese like in the restaurant. We got started with their bread, which is dark with a hint of sweetness...very nice way to start. For my appetizer, I got the Blue Cheese Pecan Chopped Salad, but got it with Romaine lettuce instead of the lettuce mix. It was really good and the Blue Cheese Vinaigrette was delicious! Hubby got their Caesar Salad and he really liked it. He also got a bowl of Clam Chowder, which is only served on weekends (we went on Sunday evening). It was a small bowl, but he seemed to enjoy it. For our mains, we both got the Alice Springs Chicken...I got mine without the bacon, but Hubby got his as is. It was just as I remembered it, and both of ours were incredibly juicy, which our waitress said was kinda unusual...LOL! It turned out corporate was in the house, so everything was probably above average. I also got a Baked Sweet Potato as my side (our salads/soup were our other sides), but I asked to leave off the cinnamon and just give me the honey butter, which was quite nice. We had a very good dinner and will probably not wait so long to go back. But, one thing I did miss is their Walkabout Soup. I used to get it all the time back in the day. I remember about 10 years ago I came to this exactly location and had the absolute worst service every from a male server. This kinda sets the tone. I woke up and really wanted outback and unfortunately this location was just the closest one and I realized when we pulled up oh this is the outback I've had bad experiences at but hey that was 10 years ago. So I'm already skeptical going in and thankfully the host had such a good attitude and welcoming personality so I was like okay we should be good. Well our server who was a male can't remember his name (don't even know if he said his name) comes up and I can already tell he lacks customer service. Just a "what can I get you" and we ordered our drinks and I asked for honey butter. He comes back with the drinks asking "anything else for now" and I said the honey butter please and he comes back with it and it tastes like normal butter. So I flagged him and was like "I don't think this is honey butter it tastes like normal butter and he kinda scoff laughs and was like that is honey butter and just stares at me so I asked him to get me another one and he walked away. I am pregnant and was highly looking forward to this meal and his attitude and push back for my honey butter was just so unnecessary as I am the paying customer. So I told my husband to grab his shit and we left now I'm on my way to different location and will never go back because clearly this location you can't get good service at. Gianna was amazing being attentive, customer focused, caring, and just so sweet to everyone. Then, John Michael & Oliver cleaned the tables, and seats with germicide using paper towels rather than garbage rags that a lot of restaurants use. The bathroom was cleaned and stocked well. Well this was kind of a mixed bag. I ordered the French hanging soup to come out as a starter and also an Outback burger with I assume French fries. The Waiter on the other hand assume that my French ringing soup was my side dish and brought it out with my burger and I reminded him that I wanted the soup as a starter which by the way took about 15 minutes to get to my table. The burgers basically an oversized Big Mac with their special secret sauce. The fries were freshly cut in they were okay and the carrot cake was good and the soup was pretty good but boy they really need to get there service situation in order and explain things to the customer and make sure they read it back to the customer to make sure this is the way they want things. read more

Have been sitting on a gift card to Outback since Christmas as I wasn't too enthused to re-visit. Outback has now returned to our list of where to go. The food was amazing. It did not have that fast food quality as I remembered. I had the steak and shrimp with Mac-n-cheese and baked potato. The steak was cooked perfectly and flavorful, no need for sauce!! Shrimp was tender and the Mac-n-cheese was to die for. Daughter had the 3 course meal with ribs, potato soup & cheesecake. You'd think it would be smaller portions based on price but you'd be wrong. It looks like regular cucumbers, not pickled at all. Outback tries VERY hard to have an Australian ambiance. And they sort of succeed. Using terms like "barbie" to refer to barbecue.
