Cheesy Fries with a side of ranch dip*
    Lindsey B.

Brand new in BA. They did excellent. I'm glad there is a decent steak place nearby off the expressway. This just makes it more convenient for traveling onward to Tulsa etc. I recommend a small bite for lunch before 3pm on the weekdays. The lunch menu is a few basic offerings if you're not into the larger portions. They'll get you in, and send you on your way.

    Bourbon smoked so damn good!

Came opening week. Place was packed! Got seated in 5 mins. Hostess was so very kind. Staff were outstanding. Our waiter was on point. We ordered a Pecan smoked bourbon (out of the world good), kids burger with fries (son said it was amazing) and a prime rib (best we had in some time/cooked perfectly) with Caesar salad (was just ok) and asparagus (cooked perfect and yum). My only complaints. We ordered a coconut shrimp appetizer, however received something else. We both were so hungry we just kept it. The place was packed and our waiter was extremely wonderful, so we didn't want to complain. The Caesar salad was just ok. Everything else was WONDERFUL. The bathrooms were clean. Decor/artwork...wow, so unique. Again, ALL staff were outstanding. I would gladly come back, and would easily change my 4 stars to 5 stars if we get the correct dishes in our upcoming visit. Can't believe someone gave them 1 star. Place is on an amazing start! Give them a try.

We went to Outback in BA to celebrate my husband's birthday. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent! Our steaks, salads, loaded baked potatoes, etc. were delicious! The cheesecake was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

Friendly staff, great food. Learned that dinner rolls can be ordered by the dozen and picked up at the window.

Would not greet our table! Sat there for almost 20 minutes as workers socialized and cleaned around us and ignored our party of 3

We got sat in a booth immediately. The ambience is nice. It's a dimly lit elevated but casual place. You could go dressed up or you could go in jeans. The menus is smaller but offers steaks, chicken, fish and lamb. We got two appetizers, one entrée, one dessert, and four drinks. Let's talk about it. Cocktails- 10/10 I had the Velvet Veil & my husband had the Peach Blush. They were so good that we had a second round. They have few other unique cocktails and a large beer and alcohol list. Tuna tartare- 10/10. It comes with wonton chips and honestly, you don't even need them. The tartare by itself is so delicious. We will go back just for this and a cocktail. Lobster bisque- 8/10 a bit spicy which seemed odd but good lobster flavor For our main, we split the lamb chops with a side of fried Brussels and also mashed potatoes. Lamb chops- 10/10 there were 6 chops so we each got 3. They were drizzled with a beautiful mint sauce and a sweet demi glaze, not too sweet. Garlic whipped potatoes- 10/10 you gotta like garlic and chives. But it isn't overwhelming. Brussels-10/10. They were on the sweeter side too and some of the best I have ever had. Bread pudding- 10/10. We have a hard time fining a bread pudding without bananas or raisins, as we don't like them, and this one does not have them. Simple and delicious! Overall we really enjoyed it. We felt like we got an elevated steakhouse experience without spending a ton of money. The prices are fair, the wait staff is wonderful, the ambience is perfect. We will definitely be going back.

The hustle and bustle of Friday night dinner plans hadn't started yet and there was plenty of seating. We were seated and there were crumbs on our "clean" table. We were moved and the floor under that table was sticky. Our server, who never introduced themselves, came and took our drink and appetizer order. Our sodas came out flat. The server didn't charge us and replaced them with waters. Our appetizer eventually arrived, the spinach, artichoke dip. The parmesan on top was not melted, we removed it like a sheet of paper. We told our server, who said, "oh yeah, I should've told you that it is better when you take it home and microwave it to really melt the cheese then it's really good". Even if we did enjoy the spinach dip, which we did not, there aren't enough pita chips to eat the entire appetizer. Those would be an additional charge. During the appetizer conversation, I did put my empty water glass to their side of the table to make a refill more simple. They started to walk away without even realizing the nonverbal gesture I made as to not interrupt our conversation. I verbally asked for more water and they forgot about it. I did witness the "ah-ha" moment when they remembered they had forgotten. My wife's grilled salmon had no real flavor, sitting on top of a basic bed of rice. Her tabouli was lacking. I can't forget to mention that when her side salad arrived, the food runner simply asked, "is this yours?" It was slightly off-putting. I never thought about my dining experience being altered by the food runner, but "side salad with ranch" versus "is this yours" is a minor detail that can apparently affect the experience. The server didn't come by as often as I felt they should. They did their verbal checks with the appetizer and the meal, but didn't see them do any walk by checks, until I asked for the bill. My burger was nothing to write home about, but it was good. The fries were undercooked and the thousand island dressing tasted like Kraft dressing. I ate half my burger and my wife ate a small portion of her salmon. We paid 60$ for food we barely touched and we took none of it home. I would rather pay 60$ at Chili's or Texas Roadhouse. We take those leftovers home. I would like to say that I would give Bison another chance, but that won't be the case. Too many mishaps on this visit to make us want to return. My wife was very tempted to talk to the manager, but I was more ready to just pay the check, leave, and take this experience as a sign to never return.

Should have been butter and this thing was more like a sirloin. I loved the sear in the meat but it was borderline line turn it back ins. The other problem I had was there first two bites was almost like it sat on an ice cube. Was very weird. Potato was pretty decent and the sprouts weren't too bad but could have used a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese. Our server was great but the speed could have been just a little quicker.

The hamburgers are outstanding -- juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly how you order them. You can tell they use quality beef, and the toppings are fresh. Also tried the fish. The beer batter is light, crispy, and golden without being greasy. The fish inside is flaky and tender, and the portion size is more than satisfying. Paired with their house tartar sauce and a side of crispy fries, it's comfort food done right. This tavern hits that sweet spot: great food, good prices, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Definitely a place you'll want to come back to again and again.

Having reservations helped, and our table was ready upon arrival. Our server, Rebel, was the standout of the entire experience. She handled our large group single-handedly, keeping orders organized and service on point the whole time. Friendly, engaging, and attentive--she's exactly the kind of person you want taking care of your table. We started with Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, and a Giant Pretzel. The wings looked good but fell short in crispness and flavor. The Pretzel was solid, but the big surprise winner was the Mozzarella Sticks--definitely worth ordering! For my meal, I had the Chicken Club with a side salad. The sandwich was excellent, thanks to the perfectly toasted wheat berry bread that really made it shine. The side salad, however, was a miss. It looked fresh but lacked flavor, and I wish restaurants would serve salads on chilled plates to keep them crisp. Overall, Main Street Tavern is a solid choice for lunch or even after work on the patio. The food has its highs and lows, but with Rebel taking care of you, the experience is well worth it.

I also think their queso is better than the one at Los Cabos Mexican Grill & Cantina, but if queso isn't your thing, the spinach artichoke dip is amazing too. I usually get a steak and baked potato, but I've also had the French dip and loved it. Honestly, everything I've tried here has been delicious. It was not very crowded, but it was very noisy. (Think Texas Roadhouse) The piped in music was a tad louder than we expected. The host was very nice and our server was outstanding. If our drinks were starting to get low, there was another one sliding in before you had a chance to ask. My wife ordered the Shrimp Scampi. It was an utter disappointment. The shrimp was overcooked. One was so overcooked, it should've had GoodYear stamped on the side of it. She did say the pasta was well cooked and the bread they served was "unique." I ordered the chicken fried chicken and I also was disappointed. I base my chicken fried chicken on the Big Biscuit CFC. Their brine is marvelous and the chicken is so moist. This CFC wasn't brined and was on the verge of being overcooked and dry. The skin on mashed potatoes were firm and had good flavor. The gravy was the highlight of the meal. The black pepper/chipotle combo in the gravy was excellent. I like the glazed carrots, but my wife said the ones at Cheddar's were better. The prices are definitely on the higher end of the spectrum and IMHO, not worth the extra costs. This will probably be our first and last time that we will patronize this establishment. There may be others who love this place, but it was not our cup of tea.

I went last week for lunch and got my usual, sliced brisket and pulled pork. Both were incredible, but the pork was AMAZING, something that usually doesn't impress me. I can get a butt nice and juicy, but NOTHING like Luke's!!! Not sure if they brine, inject, or what they do?? The meat is soaked with delicious juices and you can tell that it's inside, not just added if that makes sense. The brisket came off the point, which is not what I typically prefer, but it too was incredible. Go early, burnt ends seem to sell out first. Great portions, I always bring home leftovers.
