Came here recently for lunch, as I haven't been to Outback in years and thought to give it a try. Outback used to be great, but I always found Bugaboo Creek superior to it. Now that Bugaboo is completely gone (RIP), Outback and LongHorn are the only options in the area for a steakhouse. I was in Bellingham and looking for a clean, delicious, relatively expensive restaurant, and Outback was the best choice. This location sits in the Crossroads Shopping Center, on Route 126 in Bellingham. While it isn't exactly in the plaza, it is accessible via both entrances: Hartford Ave & North Main Street. Just follow the signs from the Hartford Avenue entrance if you are unfamiliar with the area. Anyway, Samantha, one of the waitresses is super friendly, efficient, and goes above and beyond in overachieving at her tables. She was super helpful, and entered my party into a dine in rewards program (if you aren't signed up, and go to Outback often, it's a great program to ultimately get you every fourth dining at Outback at 50% off! For more details go to their website). From the classic Blooming Onion to the OutbackBurgers, this place has a great lunch menu that seems more broad than I can remember when I used to go to Outback in Norwood, years and years ago. Some of the sections on the current menu (don't know how often or even if they normally change it) include: forkless features, signature steak, chicken, chops and more, and signature steak sandwiches. Bread is the honey wheat that trumps all other restaurants that offer it. Can't beat the honey wheat (exactly like Bugaboo... my former favorite restaurant). Food comes out quickly and portions are large and more than satisfying for one meal. This location also seems remodeled, and better lit than I can remember in the past. Hours are convenient, and no wait at lunch time (you'll have a good portion of the restaurant to yourself): 11-11 M-Sa, 11-9 Su. 5 stars for the Bellingham Outback. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area again. One of the better options on the large retail section of Route 126. read more

I find this Outback hit or miss. I do enjoy the vibe here, I also have found the staff friendly, efficient and helpful. I have never been to Australia but for some reason I don't think the Outback is any more like the real Outback than Foster's Lager is "Australian for beer". I have had some really bad steak/meal experiences and have had some really good steak/meal experiences. This Restaurant is consistently inconsistent. I have found with my experiences that I don't ask for a steak with 2 levels. For example medium rare or medium well. Ask for it rare, medium or well and expect that it will be blood raw, medium or well done. With that being said once they miss their mark it is tough for them to avoid a compete derail. On my most recent visit I had an excellent burger and a great side salad. I asked for it well done and it came to me perfectly medium. I ordered it well-done with that expectation so I was completely happy. The burger and other food was so hot I had to wait for it to cool down. One of my pet peeves is cold food. The seasoning can be a bit heavy handed on the fries. You can ask for fries without the seasoning. I actually like the ribs and prefer them over some of the "authentic" rib/BBQ places in the area. Yes I really wrote that. I realize they aren't slow cooked or truly authentic but the ribs taste good! It all depends on what your expectations are. I like the Outback and return to it a few times a year. With that being said it's not cheap and one of my expectations is that I get my money's worth. Never be afraid to send a meal back or relate a realistic complaint to staff. If they aren't aware there is a problem they can't fix it. At the time of the visit is the best time to complain if you need to. They will try and do anything to make a bad experience into a great one! Almost anything can be made Gluten Free. BBQ sauce is GF. Ribs are GF. Kid friendly. Call a head seating. Can accommodate larger groups. read more

I came here today with my family. I forgot our waiter's name (he told us he was Filipino) but he was awesome. Very attentive and checked on us frequently so we had everything we needed. I had to take 2 stars off because the food was very disappointing, not everything.. I had the sampler and everything on that plate was just way too salty our not appetizing- our fries were soggy, nowhere near crispy. Weird to say, but I love Outbacks clam chowder (the one in Westborough particularly). So I decided to order it at this location, thumbs down!! I couldn't force myself to eat half of it, it was way too salty. Our waiter noticed that I couldn't finished it, so he returned it for us. Very kind of him. If I was looking for a steakhouse in the area, I think I'll just head to Longhorns in Franklin the next time. Sadly, I'm addicted to their hot fresh bread! I'll be missing that. read more

Our server Brianna was the most wonderful woman in the world. We walked in with 7 people without a reservation, and she was absolutely fantastic. She really treated us with kindness, and was so funny. She was hilarious, beautiful, and was on top of her game. Her recommendations were on point, and she was super attentive to us when our drinks were running low. Great food, even better service. We were pleasantly surprised by the good food and service we do not have an Outback close by and had not been in many years. We had a gift card which prompted our night out. When we arrived the parking lot was packed we were lucky to get a seat at the bar. Overall the food was great and service was excellent. The bartenders were very friendly. read more

Went there last night around 6. Not impressed. Me and my girlfriend ordered stuffed mushrooms and they were "all sold out". So we ordered chicken bites that came right out and they were pretty good. We both ordered the same meal, the lobster with the filet. When it came to our table you could notice the difference in meat. Hers was a thick filet, like on the menu, and like youd imagine would come out. Mine was a steak you would buy for yourself at the store and make at home. Hers was a nice pink, mine no pink at all. We asked for a1 sauce, i used it on my last 3 bites. Tasting her steak you could tell the flavor difference. Found ourselves looking for the waitress a lot who was usually standing by the bar. If we go back to an outback we'll be going the extra miles next time to a different one. different one :/ read more

Like most chain restaurants, this one is nothing special. I've heard others complain about both their steak and ribs before (which is a shame considering this is supposed to be a "steakhouse"), so I avoided both when checking out the menu. First of all, their beer selection is quite limited and their food is generally over priced ($3.99 for a side salad?). Our bartender was very nice. I ended up having a double cheeseburger with loaded Aussie fries and a side house salad. The burger wasn't bad and I enjoyed the fries, although for the price I'd expect a lot more fries than I got. All things considered, this average chain restaurant gets an average 3-star review. read more

I order a NY strip steak dinner and onion soup from the Bellingham Outback restaurant tonight. The steak was tough! But what really upset me is that delivery person called me to tell me she couldn't find my apartment and was in my driveway. She described the driveway, etc which by the way she said was covered in rocks and I told her she wasn't at my house. I repeated my address to her and she insisted that was where she was because her GPS said so! So I described my driveway again and what car was in driver way, etc. And it took her 9 minutes to get to my house! Apparently she was only across the street from my house...and I know this because my daughter was out with her dog and watched the delivery driver turn around 3 times before coming in my driveway. I absolutely loved outback steakhouse in general. The atmosphere was great, it was not overcrowded and it does not take forever to get your food. But best of all is the food. I personally love the bloom onion . It is a nice combination of crunchy breeding, sweet onion, spicy seasoning and a cooling sauce- it is one of their best appetizers.When I looked at the menu, I was baffled by what to order. There was surf and turf, grilled steak salad salmon and ect.. When I order my dinner( Sirloin steak and gold coast coconut shrimp) it was amazing. The steak was medium(just the way I wanted it) and the shrimp. The steak was juicy and not so chewy and I love that. The shrimp was my favorite part because it was covered in coconut batter and was cooked to perfection. read more

Went to outback in Bellingham, The waitress was very sweet,we ordered,our food,the problem was there was too many people in the broth!someone brought water someone got bread,someone got our soups,and right behind her was our dinners! We had to send back food we just got soups!when we got our dinners,cold over rubbed,very salty!, THis is the new norm for waitressing? When I did it for years we knew our customers, when to deliver food, it was our job to take good care of our customers, not 5 people ,not knowing what's going on! Had dinner in outback steakhouse, Bellingham 275 N. Main St., Bellingham, MA, Jan 12th, 7:30 pm -8:10 pm. Eat Filet with wild Mushroom Sauce, served with garlic mashed potatoes, Clam chowder, and Caesar salad. Horrible stomach cramps stated from 3:00am, Jan 13th, following with Nausea, Vomiting and Diarrhea. Went to ER in the morning on Jan 13th, and was diagnosed related to food borne illness. Given IV with medicines, and was released in the afternoon. Called the restaurant, the FO manager said he would report to the company on Monday, Jan 15th. And then, there was a lady called Monday afternoon, said they would investigate and keep me updated. She also suggested me to do stool test but the company would not cover the test cost, and she told me that since there was only one person, that is me reported, even if the lab result shows bacteria, it couldn't indicate it came from their restaurant. The following two days, I still suffered stomachache and diarrhea. And by now, nobody from the restaurant or the company called again. I feel angry and disappointed. I usually enjoy the meal at outback but haven't been to one in a while. The food on this visit was pretty bad. The ribeye steak (my usual choice) was very dry with no taste. The grilled chicken that was ordered for my son was also very dry. The sweet potatoe (which is onecof my favorites) was tasty but the size of a small roasted potatoe. Overall the food quality has gone down hill. A shame because there are many choices for steak out there and Outback use to be one of my favorites. read more

The worst ever from a Outback. Evening started with a 45 minute wait even with a 6:45 pm dinner reservation. Don't even bother with the Seafood Mixed Grill - totally over cooked and the smallest portions of mahi/shrimp and scallops. Waitstaff and management sympathetic but there really was nothing they could do. Kitchen was backed up with a 45 minute wait for food so any offer they presented my party would already be done with their entrees. Sure the meal was compensated for but it was too late too little especially after hearing from two manager how many others complained about this dish and there is nothing to be done. read more

It was ok. The food was good. The onion bloom burger was really good, but the cheese fries had very little cheese, the parm crusted chicken looked really sad. The server was a little meh. Although my burger was good the rest of the family didn't really enjoyed their meals. We would not probably return. read more

The good: The staff is nice. The bad: the food. First the coffee was way too strong. I put in 6 sugar packets and 3 cream. Coffee was still dark brown and very bitter. I had the baby back ribs. THey are suppose to be "falling off the bone" tender. I'm just glad the knife was serated. Got a new term for their ribs: "sawing off the bone". Ribs were dry and tough. My wife had a chicken & noodle dish. She said the noodle were good but the chicken was dry. I'm adding this place to my NEVER go back to list. read more

This was my second time I have been to this location and both times have been enjoyable. The parkinglot looked like they were packed but we walked in and instantly had a seat. The server was a bit of an entravert which is fine. He was very diligent and prompt with service. I noticed some people complain that they weren't busy but took for ever for this and that. Honestly with the hussle and bussle in my life it's nice to sit down and not feel rushed to eat and get out. Gives me time to actually enjoy the company of my date night with the wife. read more

My girlfriend and our 3 kids come here often as we enjoy the steak! The last few times we came we had an awesome waitress so we got her name and now we have requested to be sat with Brianna St. Pierre as she is always has given us exceptional service. She makes sure we are comfortable and happy at all times. I have 3 kids who can get a bit rowdy at times and she has an immense amount of patience with them despite there sometimes disruptive nature. I highly recommend this place, and above all else, ask for Brianna S! She's awesome! read more

4pm Saturday. My spouse really wanted a nice filet & lobster tail, and even though I had a bad experience last year I gave in. Salad was not dressed well but the blooming onion was ok, thankfully I had a coupon so it was free. His meal was really nice & he was very satisfied, however mine was again extremely disappointing. I had to send my first ribeye steak back as it was well done when I ordered it medium rare. They rushed my 2nd steak so bad they forgot to season it. Cooked right this time but not a good cut as it was full of grisel and silver skin. My baked sweet potato looked like it had been cooking for days,(see pic) looking like baby food it was so soft, surprised something that looked like that would even be served. Not sure why it was all served on a bed of gease. Disgustingly overpriced. At least our waiter was very nice. read more

I love this place. Great Service and delicious food. Everything I've tried has been first rate. Coconut shrimp, the outback special, and a bottomless soda make a great meal. The steaks have a great seasoning and they cook them to you order from rare to 'hockey puck." Just tell them how you like it The biggest problem here are the crowds. Expect to wait over an hour if you show up Friday or Sat for dinner. Call ahead seating is well worth the call and will typicaly reduce the wait to about 20 mins. read more

My food was WAY past well done. There was a waitress talking to a guy at the table over and said that she grabbed his "take-away" bag and found it very heavy. She peered into the bag and turned out she had grabbed the wrong bag. Although she did give him the correct bag in the end, the incorrect bag had several charred steaks that were sent back to the kitchen (ready for the trash). read more

This place used to be my favorite but something wrong happened. Last couple times we had to wait for a long time both seating and food when the restaurant was not that busy. The food portion got smaller and smaller. Last visit was very disappointing. It was Monday night and there were 4 people in the restaurant. We waited at the door for over 10 minutes, no one came. We tried to get attention to the bartender, he ignored us without calling anyone to the front. We decided to leave to somewhere else because if we got seating, we knew what kind of service we would get. As we walked out we saw one of the waiter smoking outside. Went here for my boyfriend's birthday. We were all excited. The food was very good, we had burgers, ribs, and chicken. A bunch of us have worked in restaurants before, so we tried to make things as easy for our server as possible - stacked plates, were polite, etc. Our server was Talia, and things were alright until it came time for the check. There were 5 of us, all young adults, who of course would want seperate checks. She did not ask If we wanted the check split, and after bringing us the check, I asked if she wouldn't mind splitting it, or splitting it however was easiest for her. She came back probably 10 minutes later and passive aggressively told us it would've been easier if we paid together. It was a rude and unneeded comment, clearly said to make us feel guilty. I hope things are okay in her life and I honestly wish her well, but we were all really confused as to why she made that comment - in addition, barely showed any emotion, and wasn't very friendly. Some of us being servers ourselves, we can understand the struggle, but there's no excuse for being rude. read more

The hubby and i come here every Thursday for drinks and dinner. .... if you order drinks they take forever. Theu only have 1 bar tender on staff. ... but 20 minutes for wine to be poured?
