    Beef pieces in soup.

Needing nourishment after running the marathon a picture of Braised Beef noodle soup caught my eye. The restaurant is spacious with white table cloths. The soup was very comforting with a slight heat. The meat was great with a lot of soft connective tissue. The bowl was full of meat and satisfied my cravings. The noodles were just ok. No chew to it but plentiful. Only qualm I had was the tip was calculated including tax. This is a place I would like to return to to try more from the menu.

A group of 4 of us dined here on a winter Friday Evening. We'd arrived around 8PM EST and surprisingly had the whole restaurant for ourselves. Totally enjoyed the white tablecloth and napkins with a handmade printed rose . We ordered steamed shrimp dumplings for appetizers. The dumplings were slightly thin with a gigantic shrimp waiting to be eaten inside. It was quite tasty and we could tell it was freshly cooked prior to serving. Each order was served with 4 dumplings, which was great for two people. For drinks, my friend ordered a pot of hot green tea. And two of us ordered a glass of red and white wine each. For entree, we'd shared the below: - Orange Chicken - boneless marinated in soy sauce, and fresh ginger - Chicken with Broccoli - stirred to perfection and utterly delicious Overall the food portion was just enough for serving about two people each. Our meal was prepared exceptionally well. The atmosphere was pleasant. We had a beautiful time. The staff was so nice and caring.

Went to vibe check this new place. Clever name! We were basically there for dumplings and apps which they made fresh for us. The shrimp dumplings were pretty standard. Packed with meat and thin coating of the rice thing outside The pan seared pork dumplings were better than similar restaurants in the neighborhood - I think the filling had very good flavors The soup dumplings were good not great (I may or may not be a soup dumpling snob). As in I'm not going to order it again here. Mostly because I'm sure they make something else that is a lot better We always order Dan Dan noodles at every place we go to. Theirs was really good but it was 1-2$ above the average. Overall, not a cheap place but might become one of our takeout options

Been living on UES for over 15 years and can't believe I waited so long to try this place. Love the table cloths. Gives the place a finer dining atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Everything we ordered was so good- pan seared pork dumplings, shredded chicken in garlic sauce, shrimp chow fun. Yum! They even offer lunch specials (M-F 11:30am-3:30pm, excluding holidays)

It's nice to know that we still have places like Our New Place that still serves comfort Chinese food, in UES, such as General Tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Beef with broccoli and etc. The time I went was for early dinner and there weren't a crowd yet. Everything that I ordered was delicious except for the chicken/beef skewers (they were a bit on the dry side almost like eating beef jerky- not a bad thing) Here you can find a variety of options on their menu. Their servers are friendly and attentive. The place is roomy and can fit a good size party (if needed).

    Dim sum menu

I wasn't expecting much from a Chinese dim sum restaurant this far up on the Upper East Side, but it was a lovely surprise! According to the owner, they've only just started up their weekend dim sum menu, but they are very proud of having hired a real Cantonese chef to oversee the cooking. The quality of having someone more authentic there really shines through - the dumplings (har gow, siumai) & tofu skin we're especially tasty.

The food is fantastic and the service is very good. I was a little skep at first because the restaurant atmosphere is different. The decor is a clean bright restaurant but most of the meals were take out. only a couple of people besides us were dining in. Anyway the food is delicious great flavors and spices were spot on. Give them a try.

I wish the sauce was sweeter though since the flavor was more j spicy/ salty. I think a different sauce like a hoisin chili combo would make the dish a lot tastier. They have a variety of sichuan dishes. I wasn't a huge fan of the swing pork belly since it's served cold and mostly tastes like cucumber- it was lacking flavor for me even with the red sauce/oil. The sour cabbage beef soup was interesting! It tasted nice and beefy, but was a bit too sour for me. The lemon dessert was my favorite! It was a cheesecake mousse with lemon curd in the middle~ so pretty and tasty! Service was top tier! I'd recommend coming here for the vibes!

Came here with two other friends for dinner and we pigged out. We started off with Scallion Pancake with Shredded Duck ($15), which tasted amazing. The pancake was flaky and not overly soaked in oil, while the duck meat enhanced the taste. I think everything should order this for the table. We also got the Dan Dan Noodles w Minced Pork ($8), which is a staple dish in Sichuan cuisine. Make sure you stir the bowl to mix the sauce and minced pork. For veggies, we got the Sautéed Green Beans With Eggplant ($18), which tasted great. I usually get sautéed pea shoots for a veggie dish, but this was worth ordering as the eggplant tasted great along with the green beans. For entrees, we got the Spicy Green Pepper Fish Filet ($28 for filet). A classic Cantonese dish that comes with bok choy, so it turns out I didn't really need to order a veggie dish. Delicious. We also tried the OOHU Mao Xue Wang ($34), which may be one of the most spiciest dish available on the menu. This dish combines blood curd from a duck, tripe, and chicken gizzards along with other organs into a simmered broth containing chilis and peppercorns. They also use spam, vermicelli noodles, mushroom, and other things. If you're adventurous and you like spicy, I would recommend this. Best eaten with a cup of rice. Service is great as our server made good recommends and was overall friendly. They also have a party room you can book, which sounded pretty affordable. Don't recall what their minimum spend was, but it was super reasonable compared to a lot of other spots in Chinatown and Flushing.

We ordered multiple dishes which came out one after the other. Some of the standouts for me were the Pork Intestine Dry Pot ($20.95), Crispy Tofu with Salty Egg Yolk ($23.95), and Sauteed String Beans ($16.95). Many spicy food options since this is a Szechuan spot afterall. Some dishes were a bit too salty and spicy, which they did discount after we brought it to their attention. Overall, decent spot and good for large groups. Otherwise, I didn't find this spot to be too memorable (not bad, not great).

I was told that it isn't always open, but if it was, I could certainly have a table there. When we arrived on the night of our dinner, I asked about the back room and was told that it was closed. And indeed, there was a rope up separating it from the front dining room. There was a table of people sitting there, but I was told that was management having a meeting. I asked when the room might be opened because we were willing to wait. I was told that there was no way for them to know. The front room was already full, by the way, except for the table that we seated at. Within 10 minutes, the back room opened and people started to go in. When I asked about this, I was told that it was a private party. About a half hour later I got up to use the restroom and had a look in the back. They were people seated at tables all around the room. It was obvious that none of them knew each other. It wasn't a private party. I didn't bother to ask about this because at that point appetizers had arrived and it was too late to move to another table. I was very baffled by the staff's reluctance to seat us at a requested table, which would've been very easy to do. As a result, I don't think I'll be coming back to Chi or recommending it to friends. I wrote to them about the experience, hoping for a possible explanation. Over a week has gone by and I've gotten no response. I'm done with these folks.
