A large plate with a bit of salmon on part of it.

I pulled into the parking lot and saw an empty parking space. As I was pulling into it a valet attendant sitting on the opposite side of the parking lot stood up and started walking towards me while waving his arms at me to pull out of the parking spot and drive over to him. This was my first visit to the restaurant so I did not know about the mandatory $5 valet parking. I got bitten by mosquitoes and gnats from the moment I walked inside the restaurant. After I got to my table they were swarming around me. I kept swatting them away while I was trying to eat. I noticed other customers doing the same. The place needs to install a few dozen bug zappers. When I decided that I was tired of fighting off the mosquitoes, I pulled my bright blue credit card out and placed it on the white tablecloth to make sure that my waiter noticed it but he didn't. When I was finally able to flag him down to ask for the check he took awhile to bring it while I was still trying to defend myself against the mosquitoes and gnats. When I eventually was able to pay the bill I realized that I could have had a much larger meal at another restaurant for a much lower price and without being constantly attacked by mosquitoes and gnats.

This was my first time visiting, as I came for a business luncheon. The environment and the restaurant itself are beautiful, especially the entryway. I loved the cart with the champagne bottle; such a nice touch. We sat in one of the reserved rooms and were served by two gentlemen who were truly on top of their game. Their customer service was excellent, efficient, attentive, and very courteous. As for the food, I'm not exactly sure what the dish was called, but it was delicious. The dessert and the bread were also very good. I'd love to come back on my own time and try other dishes from the menu. One thing to note: parking is limited. They do offer valet for $5, which is a helpful option. Overall, a great first experience. I'll definitely be back.

This is a very pretty restaurant to take a special person to or to just meet a friend. The food is always very good, and they will normally permit substitutions (vegetables, fries, etc.) - basically "they aim to please". Met a friend here for lunch and there's always room on a weekday for lunch - the restaurant does fill up in the evenings and on weekends. The server was very pleasant and accommodating with a change order. We just had standard fare today, the burger with fries and the turkey club. Also, a cappuccino. Very reasonably priced for lunch. A leisurely lunch and we sat around for another 15 minutes. Food came out in about 10 minutes time. Easy to get here - just inside the loop on San Felipe. Valet parking is $5 - you could park yourself, but it is a long walk.

Tres Leches Cake

Came here for a company lunch and was really impressed with everything from the decor, to the service, to the food. Started out with the shrimp and crab tower, had the salmon as my entree, and tres leches for dessert. I would absolutely come back for any future events.

Ordered the fish tacos. They were delicious. Service was friendly and quick. Interior was very nice, tables spaced for easy conversation. Parking was tight but $5 valet is available.

Sauteed Calamari, Crispy Crab Cakes, oysters, Ouisie's BLT Wedge Salad

I came to celebrate my birthday/Christmas with a friend. We've both passed by here a million times (though I thought it was called Elvie's table and she thought it was Eunice due to the cursive letters lol) so we finally stopped in. The place was cute and cozy in the lobby. The main dining room is one big room and it seems like it used to be a house. They had a pianist playing seasonal music (and later happy birthday for me :). Rey have an assortment of complementary bread that was unfortunately the best thing we ate all night. We asked for more and took 3 waiters to finally bring it. The menu sounds super exciting but the pictures left a bit to be desired and the flavor did as well. We dined toast style from their small plates and nothing was mentionably good. The calamari was oddly thick and cut into squares which made me wonder if it was really calamari. The oysters Rockefeller were left uneaten after trying one each. The crab cakes also disappointed. My friend did like her edge salad though. They brought a slice of cake for my birthday that was good. Overall it was disappointing. They have free parking in front of San Faldo's or valet is $5

American Wagyu Beef Burger

Cute little restaurant, kind of hidden in a sense. They have valet which is $10. Came here for an early dinner so it wasn't crowded at all! John was our server and he was amazing. I had the American Angus beef burger cooked a medium no complaints there. The Greek salad is also pictured. I did not try it, but it looked delicious. Loved my blueberry lemon drop martini.

I hosted my annual Galentine's Brunch here this year and it was a success! I highly recommend reserving Cooper's Bin for privacy. They allowed me to bring my speaker and play the music that I wanted and also to decorate. Management was very communicative and helped me create my own menu. I would absolutely come back with my family and friends for brunch!

I was excited to try Ouisie's Table for Houston Restaurant Weeks, especially when I saw the $39 dinner menu featuring a crab cake appetizer. Despite some reviews about forced valet parking, we had no issues and were able to park ourselves and walk to the restaurant. The ambiance had an older, more traditional feel compared to the fun atmosphere I was expecting given its proximity to the Galleria. I think I was probably the youngest diner there. The meal started with three types of muffins--cornbread and jalapeño cheddar being the BEST. I shamelessly ate six of them, and the waitstaff happily kept them coming! For the appetizer, I ordered for the crab cake. While the portion was decent, the flavor didn't stand out, and the corn pairing did not help. My main course was the beef tenderloin with vegetables and au gratin potatoes. It was simple and straightforward, but nothing memorable. The potatoes were my favorite part of the dish, though they could have been cooked a little longer for a softer texture and more browning on top as you would expect with au gratin potatoes. Overall, the service was excellent, but the simplicity of the food just wasn't for me. Can I get those muffins to go?

Grilled 10oz Rib Eye

I love coming here. It has been awhile since I was here last. The food is always Awesome. I got the grilled-10-oz-rib-eye and my fried got the herb crusted sea scallops and shrimp with salmon roe. Everything was perfectly cooked. Ten stars.

Came here for a work meeting. There's valet service for $5 at the front. The service was wonderful, food was decent and the ambiance was nice.

Located right on Levy Park, this is an ideal spot for elevated bites, libations, and just a chill but solid dining experience The space is elegantly decorated with incredible hanging chandeliers and other modern fixtures. I lucked out an got to enjoy the outdoor patio on a rare chilly Houston evening The staff are very professional. There wasn't a host stand per se, but when we entered the restaurant someone greeted us and has us seated. I thought the staff uniforms were slightly formal and trendy in a good way The menu offers a variety of dishes, appetizers, drinks, etc. we went mostly for the cocktails, but we also had a couple sharables. Everything tasted looked and tasted great Pros: This is a trendy location at one of Houston's bustling little parks. The dishes and cocktails are well thought out and executed. The menu talks about this, but they don't over season and they're conscious of the sugar and other health/nutritional value you're consuming. We enjoyed cocktails, but they also have non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails cleverly labeled as "free spirited." The restroom was one of the nicer restrooms. The decor and little touches made it feel slightly elevated. The cocktails were artisanal, but none of them felt overly herbal or sweet or overpowered. I honestly feel like these are some of the most balanced cocktails I've had, and they're honestly affordable compared to other similar spots Cons: The main draw for me is the lovely park outside, but Houston is so hot it's rare that you can actually enjoy the outdoor seating. This was a one-off, but while we were dining outside a guest (kid) did have to throw up and did it a few times onto the patio nearby. The staff cleaned up the area, but it was there a bit longer than we would have liked. I liked that we weren't constantly badgered by a hovering server, but there were a few times where we were sitting with empty drinks for 10-20min before someone noticed. They decorated for Halloween, but I found the decorations felt like a tacky juxtaposition against the modern/trendy normal decor. Also, they had an outdoor bar that wasn't being used, but it had empty storage containers on the counters, more tacky decor, a mannequin with a hat, and it just felt like an eyesore Cheers!!

The most perfect wedding venue in Houston. Absolutely beautiful! After 3 months and 6 site visits…read morewithin Houston, our final stop at The Briar Club immediately sealed our decision. Lucky for us, there was a spectacular wedding there the day we were taking the tour. No exaggeration, it was a dream wedding. By far the most beautifully decorated wedding ceremony I've ever seen. To put that statement into context, I've been to over 20 weddings in Texas alone. After the tour, we were determined to host a wedding as beautiful as the one we witnessed. We only succeeded because of what this venue has to offer. The lighting is layered and complex. It automatically makes you warm and happy inside. The table settings are crystal clean and beautifully arranged. The venue is open with very high ceilings giving any event a grandiose effect. Finally, don't think too much about the Chiavari chairs. Just Do It. They are totally worth it. Our wedding had about 170 total attendees, but whether it be 150 or 300 people, the venue doesn't ever feel "empty" or "crowded." It truly is magical. I would like to give 10 stars for the food alone. Fine dining quality food you actually want to eat. You want a real life example of how delicious the slow braised beef ribs were? Some of our guests literally requested to go boxes! The mashed potatoes and wedge salad are better than most restaurants in Houston. The honey glazed salmon was cooked perfectly, moist and succulent packed with flavor. Lastly, the plated dinner portions are gigantic! Coming from a family of brothers who can eat 1lb burgers for lunch without a problem, their plate of food is over the top filling. I am honestly going back to the venue just to have dinner because it just became one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. What's a party without drinks? Their premium bar is light years ahead of other venues. When they say premium Bar Selection, they don't just give you the wimpy 3 brand selection. The Briar Clubs includes a full open bar with 6 choices of whiskey including Johnnie Walker Black, 5 choices of vodka including Grey Goose, 4 choices of gin including Hendrick's, 5 choices of tequila including Don Julio, 8 choices of beer including Corona Extra and Heineken, and finally 2 selection of wine of your choice. This also includes all mixers, after dinner coffee and tea bar, as well as unlimited soft drinks. As if that's not enough, they allow shots! Request it from the waiters and they will bring you generous pours of liquor shots in actual glassware. Now that's a party! Finally, perhaps the most important factor is the staff. We are undoubtedly social creatures and who you work with is vital to the success of your event. Sameh the banquet manager is someone I respect tremendously. Not only because he provided some of the best service I have ever experienced, but he is flexible, respectful and understanding no matter what situation pops up unexpectedly. I learned Sameh used to hold a top position at the Four Seasons, but him and his staff goes beyond what I have experienced through all of the 5 star hotels I have stayed at. If Sameh is still there when you book this venue, I highly recommend this venue. He is a good leader that will make you feel at ease. On such a life changing day, you want a stronger leader to cover your back. Our wedding day was the happiest day of our life. Anyone getting married is bound to be anxious but everything was perfect that day. The Briar Club will live fondly in my memories as one of the happiest places in my life. It has left an everlasting sparkle in my heart.
