The place to relax and have a small bite or cocktail is just right Upstairs! This was one of the…read morefirst places I visited when I first relocated to Houston. It was and still is the perfect place to "WINE"-down and grab an delicious appetizer. Perfect to visit if solo, on a date, or with friends or colleagues after work. This quaint lounge setting offers bar seating, high top tables, lounge and booth seating, as well as patio seating overlooking a the beautiful tree-lined street. They also offer a separate room to host meetings or parties. Appetizers are delicious - I ordered their fried pickles and spinach dip. Just enough to hit the spot. For my cocktail, I selected the a classic apple martini (I know, "who still drinks those still?" Lol...I do...nothing wrong with a classic dahling). Great times and worth the check out. Right "upstairs" from Hungry's, this place is a great spot to chill. Self parking is limited, however they do offer valet. No street parking. Enjoy!

The service stood out right away, very welcoming and friendly, and the food came out extremely fast, which was a plus. As for the food, it was decent overall. The wings had good flavor, but the ranch was a bit watery and could definitely use more seasoning. The onion rings were also good, just needed a little extra seasoning to really bring them up a notch. Overall, it's a solid spot for happy hour with good prices, generous portions, and great service.

One of my hugest complaints about checking out Art Galleries is being taken seriously. I realize…read morethat I am young and not your typical art buying public but you should never judge a book by it's cover. Well that was not a problem here as Brian, took the time to show us around. This place is a bit hard getting to especially with all of the construction on Kirby but if you don't mind driving around neighborhood streets this place is worth checking out. I thought it was a small venue from outside but it's actually HUGE. There are 2 buildings in which they have art. And each building is 2 stories each. In between the 2 buildings is a beautiful sculpture garden. Even though they are mainly an art gallery, they do rent out their space for events. WIth the beautiful art on the wall this place could be the perfect backdrop for a gala. They charge 3,000 for 3 hours and that includes the room and the sculpture garden. Also this place seemed like a great place to work as each of the offices themselves were like mini galleries as each room was covered with art.

My friend and I went to their last opening They had delicious mimosas and cookies The artist was young and her excitement About her opening was contagious. The gallery organized a short artist talk And she was entertaining and knowledgeable. My friend even ended up buying a piece Of her work on the spot! It looks great in her study. I definitely recommend Gremillion & Co If you are in the market for art for your home Or office. These are friendly, knowledgeable folks Who will help you find something perfect!

What a beautiful place!…read more We hob-knobbed with Houston's FInest Cowboys and Cowgirls last night at a benefit gala for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event was the Ben Johnson Memorial Cowboy Classic. The country club is one of the oldest and by far, the friendliest I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The staff was on point, professional and always accomodating. They served us a 3-course dinner with grace and lots of charm! the food was very good. We had a petite filet topped with lump crabmeat and a bearnaise sauce on the side with perfectly grilled asparagus and roasted fingerling potatoes. The best part? The homemade vanilla topped with your choice of fudge or butterscoth syrup. The butterscotch was heavenly (Jocelyn, our server, even gave me a second spoonful!) Parking was easy and valet service is available of course. My advice? Pinky out!

Just pick a mansion and find a spot. We got lucky and found a spot in the shade and didn't have to walk too far. We brought a stroller just in case. The grounds were immaculate as they always are. Areas were closed off to the public but there was a large section that had been set up for food and beverage with ample seating under a tent as well as tables with umbrellas on a lawn so kids could run around and with a large screen to watch the matches. I've always loved this event at the country club because you can be so close to the action. Staff were super friendly and personable and really appreciate everyone's hard work to keep this open to the public so that tennis can be accessible for all.
