I texted the main number and got an immediate call back from Mo over at Luminex who apologized and ask me to come to the Luminex shop and they would get me taken care of. The shops are within a mile of each other so no trouble at all. I purchased a Groupon for the Nano Ceramic on the front two windows. I saw a previous review that stated Groupons can only be used during the week. I did not have this experience. There were no issues using it at all. Note: Groupons are good for I believe 35% tinting. You can upgrade this for$50. Mo was great in showing me all options and even let me look through the back windows of his car so I could see the amount of light blockage. It was overcast at the time so it was super helpful because it made me realize, what I wanted to do for my back windows would be much too dark for my vision issues and night time driving. He wasn't pushy or tried to upsell aggressively as some places normally would. In the end, I decided to only do my front windows and windshield to start with. I wanted all windows to be uniform so did 20% on the front windows to match the back, 70% on the windshield and added a 5% strip in the top 6 inches of the windshield. Great news is that there's a 3 year warranty! So I was able to purchase worry free! The windshield was $175 and the added strip was $50. The prices are great in comparison to what I've paid for tinting on other SUVs. From the outside it looks excellent. From the inside you definitely feel the temperature and light difference. Right now it still needs to cure so there are some blurry spots but I was assured with leaving it in the sun for as long as I can this would clear up. Tips I was given was to not roll the windows down, don't use the defroster, and only use the foot level AC for a few days. It's also really nice they placed a DO NOT ROLL DOWN sticker across the window buttons as a reminder. If the tinting doesn't clear up, I'll comeback and amend the review but I have all faith that they will be great! Thanks, Mo! I had almost fooled myself into believing that they were toast and that was a good enough reason for me to go in debt and replace them. After speaking with my man Javi (Store manager) I decided to allow Luminex the opportunity to bring them back to life with a new gun metal powder coat with clear. Might as well go ahead and have them put some Candy Apple Red on the brake calipers while exposed. Couldn't be more happy with the finish product. Once serious and decided, I returned to hand over the car and get a more tuned quote and timeline. During the next 12 weeks, the car's awful fiberglass body was given much needed TLC. Mike was in constant contact over phone and text message, providing status updates, pictures, and timeline updates. I'm very very pleased with the results and the price. It was not cheap (between $5k and $10k), but other shops were quoting $15k+. The difference might be that the other shops were only wanting to do a perfect, concourse-level job, and I was able to inform Sentry that this was unnecessary for my use case. I highly recommend Sentry to anyone with a car they truly care about, be it classic or modern. You won't pay an exorbitant price and will get very good results. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a major disappointment. The same day as the service, I was driving on the highway when my undercarriage cover came loose and flew off. I had to pull over and retrieve it. When I called, instead of taking responsibility, I was given excuses that it happened because the cover had supposedly been removed too many times. I've taken my car to the Volkswagen dealership since purchasing it in 2021 and have never experienced anything like this after a service. Four days later, I checked my brake pads and tire tread and discovered nails in my tires. The mechanic never mentioned them or documented them on the paperwork--not even as a safety warning. I also noticed that the lug bolts on two of my wheels were stripped. When I called again on Monday, the lead mechanic told me it wasn't their fault and blamed whoever had previously removed the wheels even though they had just performed my tire rotation. Once again, there was no accountability. I wouldn't have had an issue if the work had been completed carefully and the business had taken responsibility for its mistakes. I came here because I wanted to support a local business, but based on my experience, I strongly recommend that customers double-check all work before leaving. Update *** I should have read the reviews before bringing my vehicle to this location. Chris, it amazes me that you continue claiming there are "a lot of gray areas" when multiple reviews describe concerns similar to mine. You refuse to take accountability. Whether I inspected my vehicle three days later, five days later, or immediately after the service does not change the quality of the work performed. Customers should not have to inspect a professional mechanic's work before leaving to ensure nothing was damaged or improperly reinstalled. My regular mechanic at the Volkswagen dealership confirmed that the wheel bolts were stripped. Instead of taking responsibility, you blamed the dealership--even though other reviews claim your location caused similar damage to their vehicles. The fact that you believe I should have checked your work immediately shows why your service cannot be trusted.
