Installed a backup camera on a GT in May. Two months later, the camera glitched out several times. Then the iDrive completely stopped working. Called up Brian and he scheduled me to bring the car back. He was very apologetic and promised to make sure the problem would be fixed. I waited about 2 hours at the waiting area and later was told some wire was cut in half. I like huh?? What? I did not understand at all but as long as they fixed the problem, I did not want to hear or learn about rocket science. iDrive was working once again, yoohoo!! Drove home and when I backed into the parking spot, the screen was completely dark. I barely could see anything with the backup camera. I parked the car and called Brian again. He said to bring it back right away. The location was about 35 mins away from me and with the construction that day, it was dreadful. Less than 30 mins after I headed back to the shop, the technician checked and Brian informed me some connector came loose. I tested the backup camera before I set off. The backup camera was up and running again. The 5 star was from me to Brian who was responsive and so helpful! I was really apprehensive at first because I hate mechanics or anything to do with getting my car fixed. I don't drive a foreign car but I was still treated like a human being and everything was thoroughly explained to me by Frank when it came time to fix the issue I was having with the front speakers on my Malibu: they were going in and out and were going bad at the same time which is a known issue with '08 and newer models. I called to schedule and all of my contact info was taken down over the phone. They took a $50 deposit for my appt which is pretty normal. The full inspection was $109. By process of elimination, they determined that it was a component in my speakers that was going bad. Initially, I thought it was the wiring but I had gotten a new system put in less than 3 years before. It cost me less than $270 for two new speakers, which included the price of labor; the speakers were slightly better than the factory speakers that my car came with. It took about 3 hours but it wasn't bad because they have a very nice store with a clean waiting area (near bathrooms, which can be awkward when somebody blows it up) with a fridge of water bottles. There's also a showroom that's quite tempting. I'll be coming back when I'm ready to get subs. This is a great place to go, I would recommend them! read more

Not a very pleasant experience. Called and spoke with Brian about doing some work on my motorcycle. He was very short in his conversation on the phone but I decided to take the bike there anyways. So I called again a fews days later and left a message with someone to have him call me... And, that's that, no return call, not interested. They seem too busy for a guy like me (~$1500, maybe a little higher purchase, not too much I guess compared to some). So, hey no hard feelings, other places around... Cartunes is Awesome. Very professional crew who know exactly what they're doing and try as hard as they can to take care of you. I got a GPS with Bluetooth and iPhone integration in my car and Nick walked me through the entire process. During the installation when it was taking a little longer than expected, he let me know that they were doing some modifications to the Pocket where the GPS was going so that it fit snug, and they didn't charge me any extra for it. I bought a newer car and needed a Bovee for my Bluetooth to play Pandora and Youtube etc in the car.... the system the car has would not allow me to play Pandora or YouTube, etc. Long story short I somehow did something on my iPhone which afforded the Bovee to not work anymore. I took my car, Bovee, and iPhone by the store .... Nick came out to the car with me and immediately in two shakes of a lambs tale had it fixed.... gotta love it. Nick sold me a system 5 years ago for a "vintage" car I bought.... Kenwood system that would fold out a display screen etc.... great system.... and from time to time things would come up that I didn't understand how to fix and would drop by and Nick would come out to the car and immediately fix. Cartunes doesn't particularly like when you don't buy the equipment from them and Nick was quick to continuously point out the fact that the equipment wasn't from them. These guys are the best and totally HONEST! I bought a 2011 Mercedes GLK and thought it came with a ipad/iPhone hookup as advertised. I found an aux jack in the glove box but after scowering the internet I couldn't figure out how to get it to work so I assumed it wasn't for that purpose. I went to the Mercedes Dealership in Buckhead and they had no idea and said to install an iPhone hook up it would cost $650!!!! After that I immediately called CarTunes because they had set me up with an amazing new sound system about 10 years ago. I asked for a quote and they said it would be around half what the dealership was quoting. I set up an appointment. After waiting a for a little bit they came back out and told me that the car auxiliary actually does work and didn't charge me a thing. They showed me how to use it and I was on my way. This just goes to show how honest these guys are. They don't rip you off. They could have easily charged me and done the installation of a new aux and I wouldn't have known the difference. If you need a new stereo or any electronics for your car you can't go wrong with CarTunes!! Jim Lackey gave me excellent service, took the time to explain the features of my new stereo, and made sure I wouldn't have trouble down the road. You see, my particular car is tricky. A "special" harness adapter is needed for aftermarket stereos. Without this little item, my car wouldn't be able to pass it's annual emissions test. How many other shops would've caught this bulletin that was in micro print not boldface as you'd expect. Thanks Jim for catching that (even though it was an added $40 lol) I would've been pulling my hair out in a few months when going for my emissions done. Installation was done in a very short time and all connections soldered not taped and actually looks like it came in the car. My young son became upset with something unrelated, so I since I already felt ignored, I left. There were many men in cartunes shirts who could have attended me, no need to let me wait. I had an excellent experience Cartunes! When I called last minute to ask if they could replace my broken car stereo the day before I left on a cross country road trip, they were super nice on the phone, and were able to check that they had all the parts in the shop before I came in. Although they were really busy that day, they managed to fit me in when I explained my situation, and I was in and out in less than an hour! I was planning to go with the most basic radio/CD player, but they talked me into upgrading to the Kenwood excelon KDC-X596 - I'm glad they did! This baby has HD radio and (more importantly) a USB hookup for my iPod so I can control it using the stereo buttons and keep it charged. They also spent 10-15 minutes with me after installation to personally show me all the features (even though I had the user manual), which was really helpful! read more

Brought a stereo in, (from a 2003 Acura), 6 CD/tape/FM to be repaired. They said $400 and it will be fixed. Upon calling to inquire as to the repair they said that the stereo did not need any repairs. I repeat, " no repairs needed, when the unit comes back we will issue a refund". Great. Spoke to them on two occasions to discuss how this came to be. Spoke with them at length as to how this could be. Upon picking the stereo up, I was told,"the Unit needed replacement parts". When? While it was in transit? No paperwork, only a vague statement on the "repair". CSR said he confused me with another customer. Twice? and how many 2003 Acura stereos do they in repair? I don't think there was any, except for mine. Will never return. Beware of these people, something is not right. Got a call from the GM of Cartunes, Inc. saying that they were very sorry, and would issue me a complete refund. Thank you, I am both pleased and satisfied. read more

I went in to search for a fuse for a sub that I have at home, they unfortunately did not have it but it was a last ditch effort to try and find one. The guys there were very helpful and did answer a lot of questions I had about integrating iPod functionality to my factory car radio. Although they did not have the particular item in their stock, they did direct me to where I could possibly find it. I was looking for a GPS/Touch Screen/Backup system for a 2012 Dodge Challenger. After emailing to store I was contacted by Nick Mullins who gave me some ideas of what I could install. I visited the store and he walked me through all the various models and prices. Long story short I bought a Kenwood Excelon DNX6990 and absolutely love it. I was wary of Kenwood after reading some bad reviews. But it turned out I was reading about 2011 models. The 2012 is dual processor that is extremely fast. GPS is accurate and fast on recalculations. And the backup camera is a bumper saver. Great visibility and has to ability to view what is behind the car as it is moving forward. I love it. read more

First off let me start by saying I just moved to kennesaw from florida about 6 months ago. I recently got a used 2010 Hyundai Genesis and missed my old sub system and was looking to get something to put in my trunk. I started looking online trying to find a reasonable place that was professional but also wouldn't put a huge hole in my pocket. I first went to Joker Audio... And let me just tell you there name fits there business perfectly. A joke. I walked around waiting for someone to come talk to me for five minutes and two guys were just sitting on their phone on the couch, so I just left. Area 41 was my next stop had good service but their deals were a little out of my range. Also went to sound sensation and very professional shop but still too expensive. I found cartunes online its about 35 minutes away from me so I emailed first. Within a couple hours, Corey, responded to my message. Very intelligent and explained everything perfectly. I went into the shop on the same day and he laid out several plans on what they could do and what the final cost would be. He was by far the most knowledgeable one of all the places I stopped at. He was talking gibberish at first but I told him I didn't know much about speaker systems and he broke it down to my level. We scheduled an appointment for the weekend, brought my car in took 3 hours and done. Got my keys and my new JL W7 sounded AMAZING. Only thing to complain about is sub was working wonders, was showing all my friends then the next day I got in my car and sub wasn't working at all. I tried all the settings and nothing. So obviously I am a little disappointed I can't enjoy my sub right now and have to take it back into the shop but Corey said they will get it back to working.
