I can't recommend this body shop enough! If I could give 6 stars, I would…read more I had a mobile dent repair guy attempt to fix scratches someone left on my new car on the bumper and grill and he used matte black (my car is gloss black) when he told me he had the correct paint color... He also broke the bumper clips that ended up being unsalvageable according to Bobby (owner of Platinum). He got overspray everywhere and broke parts that shouldn't have needed to be replaced. So an absolute waste of $500 on top of making the car look worse than it did before he touched it. I have been looking at getting it fixed for some time now and I came across Platinum Collision Repair and saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. When I arrived I saw a bunch of cars in the shop that looked pretty much brand new so I knew I was in probably in good hands. I was instantly greeted by the owner and I showed him the damage. He gave me a free quote within 3 mins of me being there. I took some time to see if I wanted to wait a few months or do it now but after seeing person after person come to drop off their car within 5 mins of me trying to make a decision in the parking lot, I felt that was all the convincing I needed, so I got him to go ahead and do it. I dropped the car off 7-25 (Saturday afternoon) and it was done 7-29(Wednesday morning). He told me Thursday just to be safe and I get a call on Wednesday morning at 9am that it's ready. That's including them ordering a new grill, new bumper and painting. They are closed Sundays and I brought it later in the afternoon on Saturday so really it only took them 3ish days to order the parts, do all the necessary repairs to other parts not being replaced, paint the car and they even washed it for me! These guys at Platinum killed it and the owner Bobby was seriously so helpful and did his best to get me right after getting screwed over and save me as much money as possible. He even buffed the overspray off my headlight for me and it looks like a brand new headlight now. The car now looks like how it looked when it came off the delivery truck a year ago. They did the job for so cheap too! Can't recommend them enough... so much so that my mom is asking me what's the address and telling me she doesn't care that it's over an hour and a half away from her after seeing the results lol. He is horrible and his workmanship is too. I honestly think these reviews come from a google algorithm he purchased. I was told of a few things he'd be able to including the windshield of my vehicle and after keeping my car for six days overnight - he didn't. I found this out at pick up. Prior to dropping my car off, I told him my expectations and how I pay attention to detail regarding my vehicle. I made a comment that if you see anything, PLEASE let me know prior to wrapping as this is a brand new car with 200 miles on it. When I went to pick my vehicle up there was a chip in the paint on hood from a rock that he covered up with wrap. The windshield tint wasn't done and the wrap wasn't completed on parts of my car. The tint on the windows wasn't properly applied and it wasn't machine cut as he indicated it would be so it looked HORRIBLE! AFTER SIX DAYS! AFTER SIX DAYS OF HAVING MY CAR!! Like wth were you doing? Your reasoning for having my car that long was because YOU like to pay attention to detail, but you didn't. You mentioned you liked to TUCK all of the wrap, but it wasn't! I talked to him about the deficiencies of the job and he told me he would refund me the portion he didn't do! He took $300 off because he didn't want me to make a review, AS HE INDICATED. When I left, I thought the car was in much better shape than what the naked eye could see. Here we are two months later and I can see everything only after putting an additional 350 miles on my car. The wrap on my wing is spotted and the cheap ass 3M wrap around my car is peeling off because he DIDN'T tuck the wrap as he indicated and he had his employee do this botch job. Again, THIS MAN SAID ALL OF MY WRAP IS TUCKED SO THERE WON'T BE ANY LINES!! (That's why I thought he'd needed the car for so long because my other vehicles took a day and they were bigger) So now I have to get ALL of this pulled off and redone because he is not answering calls or responding to text messages! So, I'm out 3k to get this done because of this bad job when I should have been refunded for the whole thing at the start - LIKE I ASKED. This man did nothing right with my wrap, NOTHING. Again, I was quoted a very reasonable price for the work and when I returned to pick up my car (which was ready same day) I noticed that they washed my car for me. Did not have a positive experience at all and end up incurring additional cost to repair damage…read morecaused by this individual. It became clear that he was inexperienced installation and careless in his service. Also showed no remorse and failed to assume responsibility for any of his actions. Specifically: 1) He was over 30 minutes late and didn't bother to notify me that he would be late for the appointment. When I reached out to himX that's when I learned that he'd be late. Did t even bother to apologize for lack of consideration of my time. 2) He initially installed the back up camera upside down and tried to first tell me that is the way the camera should be until I insisted something was wrong. He then realized the camera was installed incorrectly AFTER he had already drilled holes into the frame to mount the camera. He then had to change the location with new drilled holes. 3) when installed the radio, he didn't flush the radio and again tried to explain that it was installed correctly, only to have to redo the setting of the radio correctly. 4) Failed to reconnect the radio antenna causing him to come back and connect the antenna. 5) Literally broke the dash console when prying it up to reconnect the wires to the radio. As I am sitting right there, I witness him break the console but he denied doing so and said it was like that prior to him working on the job. This was clearly dishonest and I know my truck and knew it had not been broken and that I had witnessed first hand him breaking the console. I had to purchase a whole new console which cost me money. 6) failed to reset airbag light after he removed the console and claimed that the airbag light was on before he started working on the vehicle. Again, this was NOT true. Because of the above and lack of ANY responsibility for anything, I wouldn't recommend him for anything.
