I've only been here twice, and both times was for a safety check, this year and last. I pulled right up, no appointment, and was out in about 15 minutes. Can't say I can complain! Lex Brodie was completely booked up and was just looking to complete this. Hopefully everything is actually good to go, but no complaints fro me. read more

Been bringing my car in for a safety the past 2 years and they are professional and efficient. Will continue to bring the car here.

Quick, quality, and friendly service. My husband doesn't let me go anywhere else. We're always trying to find ways to support local businesses and Oscar's is right down the street from his workplace but we definitely lucked out to find that his old classmate works here too. So it's comforting for him to know that I can come here by myself and we'll be well taken care of. Whenever I come in they always recognize me and while I sit inside and wait I see other customers who are greeted with a smile and give a smile right back because of the great service they received. read more

I'll be honest and say I procrastinated on renewing my vehicle inspection. I called multiple places only to be told the next available appointment was at minimum two weeks. I started to lose hope and accepted the harsh reality that I'll eventually get pulled over, arrested and my car impounded. But then I gave Oscar's Auto Service a call and luckily for me, they said I could come the same day. So fast forward two hours later and as soon as I got there, Ethan started the inspection IMMEDIATELY. It took about 20 minutes and cost around $20~ fair price for excellent service! 10/10 read more

Oscar and his team have been maintaining my cars for over 10 years. I bring all my cars there. Best place

I work nearby and always get my safety checks there. The other day, my car suddenly started warning me that my tire pressure was low! I was nearby so I asked them to take a look. Waited about 15 min and they checked and fixed the tires and sent me on my way. I offered to pay but they declined! Such great customer service! I'm never going anywhere else for my safety check for sure. read more

I had to do a last minute pre - purchase inspection on a used vehicle. They answered fairly quickly and gave me an appointment on the spot with no hesitation. All the workers were respectful! Hector was professional and made me feel comfortable about the car I was planning to purchase. Will recommend to others read more

Oscar and his team are like a well grease machine. Everyone knows what to do and how to get your car repaired within a reasonable time and low estimates. read more

Follow up routine oil change done. I also recently saw something leaking from the front of my car and asked if they could check it out fearing the worst. Since I work nearby, I dropped of my car for service. Within a half hour Hector quickly diagnosed the cause and thankfully it didn't cost an arm and a leg. These guys are trustworthy, fast, provide great customer service and are my go to auto repair shop! read more

My rating is towards their inspection checks. They have quick and accurate service. Good and friendly customer service.

I was in need of a regular service guy since I'm not going to servco anymore and Oscar stepped up. They do a real good job there and explain everything very well. They also give you options and recommendations so you know what's going on every step of the way. They look pretty busy so not sure how long the wait is but my regular servicing didn't take longer than an hour and a half. Works for me!! read more

Oscar and his staff are good Braddahz!! Professional, approachable and good peeps! They always above and beyond what is needed. It is why our Ohana has been using Oscar's Auto Service for over 30 years! read more

Look no further, you have just found the most SOLID auto mechanic spot on Oahu! Shout out Bryan!!!Whooo!!! Lol. I only got work done from Bryan but without a doubt, anyone that works for Oscar is solid. TRUSTWORTHINESS- these guys are so transparent about everything and I appreciate that sooooo much. They call you up, tell you what's wrong and anything they may have found that you might want to consider (like my 5+year old battery..teeheeh). They have the cost ready for you and there are no surprises/hidden fees or hustles at all. They even go above and beyond and show you the parts they replaced when you come in so you can see for yourself exactly what was wrong or how badly the part needed to be fixed. I think it's so awesome that they do that. That's definitely part of what separates them from the rest! Above and beyond! Aside from the amazing work they do, everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. There's no intimidation or rudeness coming from any of the staff. This is an extremely pleasant shop, and there's really nothing but good vibes. I will forever be a loyal patron of Oscars auto!! Long live the shop!! read more

This this my second time here. Our car registration expired the end of july, so i had to find someone close & we've been to oscars before so I called first to see if they were busy with doing safety inspection & they said no. Time was about 11:40am. I swear it took no longer then 10min. We were in & out just like that. There is a waiting room that has a tv with a/c. Thumbs up for that, its super hot today. The workers are super nice & have a friendly face on. For our car inspection with yax was $20.09. Deals because ive called around before & other places were more then that. I would refer all my friends & family to go here for their cars. read more

These guys are the best. I needed a shop I could trust and found the shop by luck. Brian, stopped in the middle Of his lunch to help me out and even helped me to test drive a car I was about to buy and detect problems. Since then, he has repaired everything I needed done at good prices and even stored the car for free for a week while the parts were on order and gave me his cell number Incase I needed anything else. Awesome work and prices, I only go there now. read more

Oscar's is awesome. Everyone at my old workplace used to take their car to Oscar's and I've been told that even Servco sends their cars here. Bryan is the best! I try to see him every time I come for an oil change or other fixes. He's changed out my rack and pinion and done at least one brake change. He's my favorite because he tells me what's wrong with my car before things break, and every time I get my car back after he's serviced it, the brakes feel tighter and the steering feels better. I used to go to Servco where an oil change/servicing was $100+, it's only $60 something here, which is super reasonable. They're also open half-day on Saturday, which is helpful. read more

My Wife & I have been Customer's for over (10-15) Ten to Fifteen years with Having Service Done By Oscar's Auto Service. We are never disappointed! His Team of Technicians are always friendly, courteous, and very welcoming professionals that Does Excellent Work and knows our Car's needs wherever we need service and always accommodates us when we arrive with or without an appointment. Currently my Wife uses Oscar's Auto Service when needed. I very rarely use there service, due to fact that my car is under a Warranty that requires service by the dealership. Although, I do at times go there for a safety check or if I need tires. Overall, I Highly recommend his Services! read more

Our mechanic recently retired and been looking... My car steering started shaking @ 40 miles, stopped by Oscar Auto and Hector walked over, ask how he can help. He listened, discussed repair process and possible cause. Hector kept me informed and sent video showing the cause. During the test drive the center cap popped out and, he called immediately. The following day he called me with a replacement part, awesome customer service.. car runs great. read more

Excellent Service! I strongly recommend Oscar's Auto service for all your vehicular needs...

Referred by a friend. Very polite. Call you uncle or your proper name. Fast, courteous, efficient. Parents brought up their boys well.

Very friendly, honest and good price for auto repair services. Walk-ins ok. I went to Zippy lubes and they told me that my 10-year old car have bunch of problems but I needed 2nd opinion so I brought my car to the Oscar's Auto service. I had to pay just $15.00. Yay! My car runs good! read more

Oscars does a pretty good job when I've needed an inspection done. But yesterday I went in for an oil change that cost me $109!?!!? Like I said normally they are on point but why would it cost me that much? I guess I should've asked for a quote first since we normally pay in the range of $40-45 to get it done elsewhere. Needless to say, when I went to go pay and I was told the amount I was shocked! I asked the technician why so high and was told because of the synthetic oil that our 2015 car needs. The price difference from $45 versus $109-I'll make the extra Trip to the windward side to get it done. Looks like I won't be going back for a routine oil change from now on. I'm bummed on all accounts as they are good, quick and convenient! read more

There are a lot of car service places, I was referred to Oscar by a friend. She said he gave good honest help and pricing. I am pleased to say that this is so true!! I have now been a repeat customer of Oscars!!! They are always friendly, honest, trustworthy, quick, and provide great customer service I don't frequent there often, but they know me by first name! Oscar, Mike, and Hector always prove to me that they are here to run a great business and offer a great price to go with their service. I never feel over charged or cheated. While some places say you need this and that changed or tuned. They are not like that. The want to make sure your car is fixed, for the problem it really came in there for. I am so happy that they are here to help whenever I need them! If you're looking for great service for your car and great customer service with honest pricing, go see Oscar! read more

Excellent service by friendly, knowledgeable, down to earth professionals at very reasonable prices. Sometime's it can get busy and there's a wait because it's a very popular place to go to but worth every penny. There's a small air conditioned waiting room and parking can be tight. I highly recommend Oscar's Auto Service. read more

I've taken my car to have my safety check done for the last three years. Always great service and all the staff are happy and helpful. Saves me time and really appreciate their service. I'm usually in and out in less than 30 mins. read more

Probably one of the MOST professional, honest and hardworking group of individuals I know. My ohana and I have been using Oscar's for our automotive needs for many years...and let me tell you, as far as I'm concerned, they're batting 1000. Every issue and problem that we've faced, they've managed to repair the problem in a very reasonable amount of time at a very affordable price, depending on the job and what's needed. They do not try to swindle you into some false problem for more expenses...instead they demonstrate honesty and tell you exactly what the issue is and let's YOU decide on what's the best course to take in getting the problem resolved. All of the staff...Oscar (owner), Brian, Hector, Mike, Ethan and the rest all are very down to earth and get the job done. read more

Worst service there is, mike doesn't know what he's doing and is the worst at letting you know what's going on with your vehicle. The guy Mike told me my truck was good to go and fixed but when I came to pick it up and take it home my truck had no power driving so then I had to take it back and was really disappointed. These guys have the worst service wouldn't recommend. read more

Went in for a safety check. It was quick, easy and painless even with three cars being ahead of me. Looking to go back for my maintenance check. Said to call first to make sure they're not too busy. read more

In 2009, a good friend at work was having car problems. She asked me to pick her up from her mechanic so we could go to work together while her car was being fixed. When I went to pick her up, I thought that the location was pretty convenient (in Kalihi) and everyone seemed really nice. Oscar was friendly, listened to my friend's concerns with her car, and offered a couple of solutions (including a payment plan option). The other mechanics were cheerful and working so hard. I felt comfortable (unlike other car shops where I felt like I was being ripped off or ogled) and thought that if I had any car problems I would definitely bring my car into Oscar's. Little did I know that for the next five years my 1993 Honda Accord would give me every problem imaginable. So in addition to yearly safety checks and bi-annual oil changes, I would bring in my car for a variety of issues. Oscar and his crew always tried to save me money and they did their best to preserve and extend the life of my dying car. I can't count the times I had my car towed to Oscar's and he'd find a way to squeeze me in and have my car fixed by the end of the day. When I finally got a new car in 2014 and brought it to Oscar's, everyone cheered because they knew I'd been struggling to buy a new car for so long. That showed me that they really cared. Ha! (^___^) Oscar brings integrity, piece of mind and kindness to the auto mechanic business. I would recommend his auto shop to anyone who wants quality work done on their car for a reasonable price in a friendly atmosphere. read more

One day, I was driving down in Kaneohe and a police officer in the police car next to me was trying to catch my attention. So, I rolled down my window and the police officer kindly informed me that my safety check sticker was expired. Two months ago. Yikes!! What killed me was that, that morning I had JUST taken in my car to the dealership I bought it from for maintenance. (A little irritated that they didn't catch that but also knowing I'm to blame as well... which irritated me a little more) Anyways, I graciously thanked him (and thanked God that he didn't write me a ticket) and went on my way declaring to get my safety check done as soon as possible. Well, apparently on the Windward side, not many places do safety checks without a appointment which is understandable. But when you're desperate, waiting is not a likeable option. Especially knowing that I got away with it once, I highly doubt I have that much good luck on my side. As I went searching for a shop on the Windward side for a quick inspection, I failed at seeking one out. Not feeling like going into town on my day off, during peak traffic time, and without a garunteed place in mind that takes walk-ins, I called it a day. So, telling my story to my co-worker the next day, he suggested Oscar's in Kalihi. He said he never had to make an appointment, they could probably do it that day, and they're really fast. Score!!! Since I work at the airport, (which is 7 minutes away according to Yelp) I figured going after work would be the best time. Got there around 3pm, asked one of the guys if they had time to do a safety check, said they could, just give them a few minutes to finish the one they were working on. Ok no problem. They finished, did mine, and were done by 330/345pm. *insert sigh of relief* If you're a bonehead like me and need service fast, cheap, and efficient, I suggest you head over to Oscars... like, yesterday. Job well done; will be back again... This time BEFORE expiration date. Thanks guys at Oscars for your fast and great service! You saved my brain from exploding! read more

You know what.. since I'm waiting I might as well write a review to pass time. I love going to Oscar's automotive services to cater to my automotive needs because they provide great service and its very close to my house. Registration, safety, checks.. you name it. All of them are very attentive and will listen to any problems you've occured with your car. Once you get in the shop, they'll assist you right away and have you lounge in their small air conditioned office. Sometimes service takes a day or two and they will call you when its ready. Today I am here because my car's (named Michael) starter is broken and I got stuck at the gas station after vaccuming. So I had to call my dad (thank god we live nearby) and I also had to call my insurance's road side assistance to help both of us to get it towed to the shop. Fortunately there were three good Samaritans that tried to help us, one of them even gave us sandwiches from the store to brighten our day lol. I believe Oscar's is a family owned business. They do a great job! Highly recommended! I have no comment about the pricing because maintaining cars can be expensive but I would say its reasonable for their repairs. Give them tip! Haha read more

Trustworthy + Auto Service = Oscar's Auto Services! It's not often that you can say that, sad to say, but I'm glad I was referred to them for my auto service needs. The first time I took my car in, I had trouble starting it, and they helped me out as soon as I was able to tow my car there. The starter assembly needed replacing, and I'm glad I didn't have to take it to the dealership. This time, I had to replace my battery, and he got me in and out of there in about 15-20 mins. He actually just went ahead and did it himself. I sincerely respect any management that doesn't shy away from doing what they ask of their employees. So what could have been a very painful and costly process, with a lot of bad attitudes and crookedness, ended up being fast, friendly, and affordable. I highly recommend Oscar's Auto. Thank you Oscar! read more

We were looking for a place to get our vehicle inspected, which seemed like it should be an easy task, but it wasn't. Oscar's was the 4th place we went to, and luckily, they were able to accommodate us fairly quickly! Customer Service is outstanding here - they are very friendly and take the time to explain the procedure with the DMV (we had our car shipped over, so we had to actually return to Oscar's after getting the car registered at the DMV to complete the process). We will definitely be returning to Oscar's for any of our auto needs. Highly recommend! read more
