This place has great food in general but also for vegans! They work with you to ensure that the right substitutions are made, like oil instead of butter with their edamame, which is BOMB the spicy garlic ones are something I get every single time. We usually get inari, the McHenry roll without tuna, and avocado rolls. I've also tried their vegetable ramen but was not at all a fan. 4 stars only because when it gets busy they sometimes forget about you waiting for your pickup order...when it was sitting right there on the counter, the whole time... I waited an hour and forty five minutes for my food that I ordered on what ever online platform the restaurant provides. The hostess staff was very rude and once they realized I was upset they decided to just ignore me. I should have known to check my order because when I got home my rice, salad, miso soups where missing for the dinner plates we ordered. I ordered two sushi rolls A children's chicken Teriyaki meal And two Tempura dinner meals I visit this restaurant often. Very disappointed in the quality of food we had last time we were here. We always used to order from here when we were craving sushi and always got quality food. The last time we went I was craving some oysters and ordered 5. They came out and had a lot of siracha and sauce on them which I thought was weird. Then the smell hit. You can tell that these were NOT fresh oysters. It was so pungent and I tried to eat one and got it down but let me tell you it was a struggle. I tried to eat another and had to spit it out. I asked the server to send them back to the kitchen and she got the manager and i explained that they were not fresh and I cannot eat it. Everything else was mediocre. The worst customer service! When we tried to go eat and ask how long the wait was the host said he couldn't tell us. All he could tell us is there is one group of people in front of us. When I asked if he could estimate a time so we could decide if we wanted to wait or go somewhere else he told me he couldn't because he can't promise us a time. I sympathized with him and stated i worked in a restaurant for years and then he scoffed and said well let me put it this way we only have 6 tables and people like to sit and talk so NO I DONT KNOW WHEN THEYLL LEAVE. at that point my family decided to take our business elsewhere. I am in complete disbelief that someone would yell at a customer requesting an estimate for time. We have a 4 month old baby we can't sit in our car for an hour and wait. Ordered the crab puffs looked great but were spicy, at first I thought it could be the sauce which was that sweet and sour or Polynesians stuff with little red chili, but I have had this before, not my favorite but it's not that spicy. After opening one up they had jalapeño in them. Worst crab puff in my life, wtf if I wanted jalapeño poppers I could order them. I don't because I hate them. It was really weird and pretty surprising, for me jalapeños are disgusting. Ate with 2 other people, one liked them but he likes jalapeño which good for him. If it was labeled properly I would not complain because I wouldn't order it. So, this is my friends experience: they ordered a basic albacore tuna roll. Had green onions, fine if listed but she doesn't like them, me personally would eat that up. But I have had the basic rolls ( just the protein and rice ones) they don't normally have green onions or if they did they should say. Finally everything had a god awful amount of that fake crab shit which again fine in a little amount. Lots of places have that in rolls. But it was in Everything! And so much? it's all I could taste, my roll was the Hotel California roll and I paid for added tuna, would have actually been excellent if not for the fact I had to make a giant pile of fake crab shit on the side. Was so MUCH fake crab. I expected the amount to be as equal to the other ingredients. But no they are charging sushi price for Costco cali rolls. All mushy fake crab, which I felt bad for wasting. The 3rd person joked at least their fake crab was in top so was easier to remove and basically was doing the same thing: menus should list ingredients and even though we knew there was something doesn't mean it should overpower all else. read more

Really liked this place. We started off with Hot Sake Drink ( the large ) came out to about 7 pours total. One of the Chef gave us a complimentary appetizer. Not sure what it was but that was very thoughtful. We got Ramen and 3 rolls to share between two people. Very appetizing. The ramen has a lot of taste unlike most places around here. Went here on a Tuesday evening for a birthday. It was quite a full house. Guests of 9 people . Seated. Waitress came and we immediately order. Everything came out quickly. Everything was fresh and sushi and food tasted good. FYI... the Rolls are big portion unlike other places. This review is for delivered food the 11th and 12th of July. Yes, two days in a row, because the first day was just that good. I mean, takeout sushi can suck. We have ordered from other places and they've gotten our special order wrong, just didn't taste the best, etc. OSAKA DOES TAKEOUT SUSHI PERFECTLY!!!! My daughter always orders a special roll, and they get it right every time. All of our food was so delicious, you can tell that Osaka takes itself and its food seriously. You can see, feel, taste and smell the detail that goes into each roll. Take the Laguna Beach.. Hamachi, jalapeño, cilantro, I can't remember what else right now, but the flavors are perfectly balanced. It's a thing of beauty! So fresh and nice! Crab Puff appetizer.. From any other restaurant, meh, but here? You get these gorgeous little purse shaped puffs that are full of crab and cream cheese, plus something just a tiny bit spicy. Not much, but you can actually taste each of the flavors wrapped up in here, and it is so good!!! The best I've had. Crunchy munchy roll... YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Seaweed salad so fresh and crunchy! Hamachi and sake nigiri, perfect as always. Even takeout miso is just like it is in the restaurant. Amazing depth of flavor, way better than most other places. I wish I had photos to share. My go-to for sushi. I've tried other sushi restaurants in the area but none have yet to measure up to Osaka's selection and quality. They have some really great speciality roles along with the more common ones. The Crunchy Munchy roll is my new favorite but you can never go wrong with the Osaka roll. They also have some great appetizers like their whole fried blue crab or spicy edamame. Calling in your order for pickup will save you some money as opposed to using an app like DoorDash. I've found the prices for items are higher on the DoorDash app than the menu price even when you're ordering for pickup. read more
