This was one of my favorite meals in Buenos Aires. The restaurant is classy with dim lighting and really gives strong date night vibes. We started off with some cocktails that packed a punch. Everything we tried had amazing flavors. We especially enjoyed the Inca, wagyu and crispy rice nigiris. Our favorite role was the Nikkei- we actually loved it so much that we ordered another one. My husband was a fan of the Inca gyoza. The servers are super knowledgeable about every item on the menu and take their time explaining the dishes when delivering them- including the order in which they should be eaten. The prices are definitely on the higher side in comparison to other restaurants in the area but the quality makes the food well worth it.

Love this place! Fresh fish artfully displayed. Japanese beer, and local varieties. We ordered the Peruvian trio to start with, it came with sides of squared sweet potato, toasted corn, toasted quinoa, and toasted sesame. It was a salmon, a white fish and a shrimp. They were lemony, sweet, and spicy, respectively. Then we ordered a few assortments of half rolls, I told them about my gluten problem and they modified some of the rolls and made suggestions for others. Everything was fresh and delicious.

We had an incredible meal here and I'd strongly recommend it when in Buenos Aires. 7 ppl for a business dinner after a Lonnie day of meetings...the waiter suggested that they just bring out a number of apps/dishes that we could all l share/taste. What incredible good that was so thoughtfully presented. Just look at thE pics...

    Very. Very. Good.

Who would have expected to find great sushi in Buenos Aires? Not me, but it seems the land of beef has great sushi. I ate here 3 times in 4 days. And yes, from the Wagyu hot rock to the Sake, Crispy Rice, etc - it's just well done. See you soon Osaka.

Disappointed with what almost seem like dishonest behavior to me but perhaps this is how things are done at fine dining restaurants in BA. When we ordered soft drinks and sparkling water, the waiters are great at CONSTANTLY refilling our glasses with the bottles of soft drinks THEN bringing new bottles over to the table (with the cap already removed) WITHOUT asking first so we end up realizing we've spent 750 pesos on COKE at the end of a lunch between 3 people when the bill arrives. To put this in more perspective, the average price of our entrees is 882 pesos so 750 for COKE is dumb. Fueling my annoyance for this is that they were slow when it comes to EVERYTHING ELSE, like clearing our empty plates, bringing us our bill, and refilling the hot water for my teapot (maybe because they know they can't charge me more for it?!) They serve each person a tiny appetizer (diced pork on a fried slice of banana. Size perspective: the banana chip is the size of an American quarter so you can imagine how much pork actually fit on it) upon sitting down and you think "oh that's so sweet!" Until you realize you're charged 130 pesos per piece on your bill! Wtf, had I known this wasn't a freebie from the chef, I would have declined it. Oh wait, you CANNOT decline it because once again they don't ask you! Folks who are visiting from places with a lot of Japanese restaurants, this place will surely disappoint. The sushi is maybe just 1 star above Costco sushi. I had high hopes that it'll be good Japanese food with a South American twist and I was dying for some Asian food after a week of eating steaks, pizza and empanadas. But this place left me wishing I had just crossed the bridge over to Mercado San Telmo and stuck with some local cuisine. Osaka, you need to up your game with your food (maybe start with the basics and get your sushi rice right) AND ALSO stop trying to rip people off with 130 peso appetizers and 125 peso soft drink refills. :(

Everything was excellent: food, service, decor. I took one star off because of the prices, but if you live in dollars (or any other well-doing currency), it won't be such a punch to your wallet given Argentina's economy right now (Dec 2018), but it's still is a luxury restaurant. For 5 people with no alcoholic drinks, we paid $300 usd. We were 5 and got the omakaze for 4 (it's offered for 2 or 4), plus a few other dishes. The omakaze comes all at once in a big plate, which I really liked because we didn't have to wait between each dish, like it typically happens with omakazes. My favorites were the rolls with eel on top, the sushi with salmon and (I think) truffle on top (see picture for both, included in omakaze), and a roll with salmon and avocado and a sort of spicy mayo that was not included in omakaze.

We went to both the Osaka in Buenos Aires and in Lima, Peru. The environment was incredible- very tropical and peaceful at the Lima location and it was very good in Buenos Aires. The food was all amazing! We didn't get anything that was not great. Overall the food is fantastic! We liked the Lima location better but they were both great. I would recommend Osaka to everyone!

This restaurant's decor is nice, but the food is very expensive and the service way too slow. I got the "Niku truffle", which had wagyu beef and tasted excellent, but cost almost $12 for 2 small pieces (about the size of eel sushi) ; the "Sea grill" had shrimp, mussels, clams, tiny scallops, and mushrooms - there was a lot of sand in this dish, I expected better for $28 USD. One bowl of white rice cost $6.50 USD - outrageous! They also had a "cover charge" of 95 pesos, about $3 USD, which included a few pieces of calamari - the $3 is not a huge deal since the calamari tasted great, but I think that should have been written somewhere. The waiter took so long for everything, over 15 minutes before clearing my plates even though I was clearly done (I pushed my plates all the way to the side of the table) ; Getting the check took about 20 minutes.. since it was taking so long, I went to the restroom, they finally brought the check, but they had also removed my water, which was annoying since wanted to finish it before leaving. I would not come back to this restaurant, rather try other restaurants...

I love it when plates are served with fire! Overall some great dishes here.. a couple dishes like the octopus were underwhelming but the other sashimi dishes were outstanding.

Food was good and ingredients tasted really fresh. However... The place was too dark, not enough light; hard to see the menu and i prefer seeing what i am eating. Prices for sushi rolls were ok, but $12 for miso soup and $6 bottled water without gas are too much. Service was ok, attentive but a bit slow.

We were in Buenos Aires for a few days prior to our Antartica Trip and asked our concierge at the Sofitel Hotel where we could go for a true Buenas Aires Steak experience. Without any delay he said that we must try Las Lilas. A simple ride over and beautiful location at the site of their redone area along the riverside. Much like every other city is doing. Restaurants. apartments, shops and lots of young people enjoying themselves. We walked inside this beautiful Steakhouse and elected to sit outside where we could enjoy the beautiful view and atmosphere in lovely warm weather. Let me be frank.... Walking into a beautiful Michelin restaurant is pretty much the same around the world. You walk in with a smile and high expectations. Right here in the beginning I will say that the team and service was impeccable from the beginning. Flawless in my opinion. They came over in introduced themselves while bringing us some water, cheesy bread and taking our drink order Appetizers: Three styles of tomatoes. Selection of cheeses from their very complete collection. Main items: 16oz PIcahna steak (shared) Fried Potatoes (shared) Of course the wine was Malbec which paired so perfectly with all the amazing food. I am not going to go through each item other than saying everything was 'over the top' delicious. My friend said to me that once you've had Buenas Aires Beef you'll never forget the amazing flavor. Even through my wife likes her meat more on the well side, it retained the tenderness and unbelievable flavor. There is definitely a reason that a place like this become a Michelin Restaurant. Cabaña Las Lilas is flawless and judging from the look on the faces of the other diners around us.... They thought so too. Please see the pictures I added. Many people shared as the portions are very generous. KUDOS to the team at Cabaña Las Lilas

I did a house red and the server gave me a generous pour; it was deliciously smooth. My mom ordered grilled chicken (it was a huge portion) and a side salad (also pretty large portion). I ordered beef and chicken empanadas. I preferred the beef over the chicken but both were really tasty. The pastry was nice a flaky and the filling inside moist and flavorful. Until recently, it was apparently a small Peruvian restaurant, Angry Fish BA, which I'd never even heard of. I don't think I ever saw the place even open, though their Facebook page was active until last July - maybe it was only open at night. Somewhat extensive menu, and only about 2/3 of the menu is translated from Chinese into Spanish. Why? Because the other dishes are "really traditional" or "too spicy" for Argentines to appreciate. I think these guys will need to adjust that thinking. Why not offer it and see, it doesn't take that much effort to translate the dishes - something I made the waiter do right down the line. [Edit: Revisits over time - they've redone the menu to a multi-page one with pictures, and Spanish translations for almost all the dishes. Strangely, they still reserve one page with maybe 8-9 dishes on it that they don't translate and that are much more obscure dishes - a couple of them excellent!] Potstickers - Really well made lightly crisped dumplings. The filling, pork and chive, and a little underseasoned, though the hot sauce they brought on request was fiery and with a dash of soy sauce, was just perfect. Spicy Pork Belly - This was one of the non-translated dishes. I mean, these days, who doesn't dive into a pork belly dish? Beautifully flavored, sweat-inducing spicy with fresh chilies throughout the dish, and just absolutely delicious blend of slightly sweet pork belly, green onion, peppers, chilies, and Chinese celery. A very happy camper was I. [On those revisits - they have a couple of stunning, spicy chicken dishes - both a bang-on Szechuan peppercorn chicken, and in that untranslated section at the back, a fiery chicken hot pot. Prices have gone up a bit, but not significantly as of early 2018.] And, fairly reasonable - both dishes plus a bottle of water and tip came in at 375 pesos, or $24. The place is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, which is unusual for that neighborhood, but gives a great option for those who like "real" Chinese food.
