    Provoetta appetizer. Very nice

Good service. Good food. Good selection of food and drink. Great environment in which to eat. First time in Buenas Aires. A good friend suggested Happenings for Argentinian beef. We were not disappointed. Ordered an appetizer of provoleta. The bone in rib eye, and a filet mignon with the potato with bacon and a bottle of Malbec. Way too much food. Really flavorful. Can't believe I ate that much

Bring your appetite. The experience on our last night in Buenos Aires was excellent. Any language gaps with our small amount of Spanish were quickly overcome by the staff wanting to please. The recommended Pequenos Producciones Malbec was a great recommendation. The spinach Bañuelos were terrific. The star of the show was the 800 gram T-Bone steak for two, cooked to perfection. We were very pleased and enjoyed this experience.

Went for a walk to Puerto Madero to find a place to eat and we came across Happening. Looked like a nice place so we gave it a shot. Very nice atmosphere. There were a lot of people on dates and other tables had groups of friends. They had a nice selection of wines, we got the Luigi Bosca Malbec. It was excellent. We ordered the Provolone appetizer and it was ok. Part of the bottom was burnt, but not bad. We still ate it and I liked that they added some herbs to the top, not quite chimichuri, but very similar. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked to perfection. It was tender, juicy and so flavorful. There was too much food. I couldn't finish it, but put forth a valiant effort! We ended the meal with flan, which was also excellent. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely come back!

Great service. Got sat right away. Waiter spoke enough English to understand us. Definitely cheaper compared to most of the other restaurants near by but still expensive. Came to about 1800 pesos per person and that's with 2 bottles of Malbec wine, beer, apps, and steak. The wine was so good must have and it was like 18$ U.S per bottle. Had English menus too. I took picture of the most recent menu prices. Steak was very juicy. If you are in Argentina you have to get the steak. We tipped our waiter very well and after that he gave us free lemon shots before we left. He was amazing!

One of my favorite restaurant experiences to date!! This was my first time in Buenos Aires so I had no idea how good the meat was. I also never had a cow neck which was surprisingly amazing. The wine was also some of the best I've ever had

IMO a restaurant wins or loses 1/2 the battle with its staff. We walked into happening and maybe staff thought we were suppliers or someone to get payment. No body welcomes you, smiles, or shows interest on caring service. They are in the service industry. We ordered beers and appetizers and still the charisma was more dry than sahara. We almost asked for the check to get main course at nearby place. 3 rounds of beers later and done w appetizers a new waiter served us with a vastly improved attitude. He made small talk on main courses which were great food and we ended up happy but I personally had suggested happening as a good option in Puerto Madero.... until I check it out by myself again I will not bring a group there. We just arrived from Brasil to BsAs and the contrast in service at restaurants was night and day. Note only at Happening since we just got to the city. I look forward to better trained staff. They CA. Make much more money with a few more smiles :) Drinks, appetizers and main courses were timely and flawless. Great plates overall. We were there for lunch around 3pm and total bill was around 700 pesos per capita. Nothing will be disappointing.... but the behavior from staff can ruin the experience. Manager has to teach and train more welcoming greeting behavior.

The food was great, we stuck to the steaks. I got the traditional Argentinian Vacio steak and my friends tried the prime rib. All were cooked the way we asked and delicious. (I tried some of theirs as well). We also shared a salad as an appetizer that had sliced ham, mozzarella, mango slices and spinach -yum! Two bottles of wine and one of my friends had Stella which was on tap.

Best steaks and service in town. Its rival next door comes close, but Happenings is by far the better of the two for many reasons. Most important - better tasting steaks. Second - prices are better. Third - service is better. So in a nut shell - better...

We were in Buenos Aires for a few days prior to our Antartica Trip and asked our concierge at the Sofitel Hotel where we could go for a true Buenas Aires Steak experience. Without any delay he said that we must try Las Lilas. A simple ride over and beautiful location at the site of their redone area along the riverside. Much like every other city is doing. Restaurants. apartments, shops and lots of young people enjoying themselves. We walked inside this beautiful Steakhouse and elected to sit outside where we could enjoy the beautiful view and atmosphere in lovely warm weather. Let me be frank.... Walking into a beautiful Michelin restaurant is pretty much the same around the world. You walk in with a smile and high expectations. Right here in the beginning I will say that the team and service was impeccable from the beginning. Flawless in my opinion. They came over in introduced themselves while bringing us some water, cheesy bread and taking our drink order Appetizers: Three styles of tomatoes. Selection of cheeses from their very complete collection. Main items: 16oz PIcahna steak (shared) Fried Potatoes (shared) Of course the wine was Malbec which paired so perfectly with all the amazing food. I am not going to go through each item other than saying everything was 'over the top' delicious. My friend said to me that once you've had Buenas Aires Beef you'll never forget the amazing flavor. Even through my wife likes her meat more on the well side, it retained the tenderness and unbelievable flavor. There is definitely a reason that a place like this become a Michelin Restaurant. Cabaña Las Lilas is flawless and judging from the look on the faces of the other diners around us.... They thought so too. Please see the pictures I added. Many people shared as the portions are very generous. KUDOS to the team at Cabaña Las Lilas

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!

We started off with a basket of warm house bread, and it came with several different types, but by far my favorite was the focaccia, which was topped with cheese and herbs and had a lightly salty flavor! All the breads went nicely with the ramekin of sauce on the side, which our waiter described as homemade "mayonnaise." Next, we had the Silo Pampeano salad, made of quinoa, roasted almont, goat cheese, arugula pesto, and fresh arugula. The salad was nothing fancy, but dressed with a little olive oil and vinegar, made for a really refreshing yet hearty dish. Finally, we tried the Milanga Pampeana, which was a thinly-pounded slice of deer meat, which was then breaded and fried, served over fried slices of sweet potato and a side of Mendozan tomatican, which was a mixture of egg, tomatoes, onions, and peppers cooked in a small iron skillet. While the deer meat had a nice gamey flavor, parts of it were a bit tough, and there was way too much greasy breading, given how thin the slice of meat was! However, it was tasty nevertheless, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try more of the menu. The standout of this restaurant to me, however, was the service--there was only one waiter manning the entire restaurant, but he was so kind, attentive, friendly, and helpful! Great experience, and great value!

Service: when servers are wanting to serve you but refrained from it and have to ask the Manager if ok to do so, that's bad management so we don't blame the servers for leaving us waiting for our one and only server to help us. Server was surprised because we tip more than their 10% standard (again, not their fault the service wasn't good enough, we saw him while waiting our turn, he was hustling several tables alone). Manager seemed busy, she stood near our table but never asked us if we were taken care of or not, nobody picked up our pile of plates near the border of our table ready to go and two different servers asked her if they could help us but she preferred to call our server who had his hands full and turned to see her to listen to her while putting a hard to watch fake smile ... the poor guy! We just really wanted to pay and leave. Ambiance: servers seemed overwhelmed, we didn't get the teamwork feeling like in most places. Price: we paid in cash so with the current exchange rate this was cheap but by local standards we could've spent the same amount or less somewhere else and have a better result than this no doubt. I really hope that if you're reading this and still decided to come that you have better luck than we did. We heard from a handful of people we asked recommending this place so I didn't read any of the reviews. Lesson learned!
