Ok.. we went for the Sunday Brunch.. 5 courses in about 2 hours. The food was presented quite lovely, but it was sort of hit or miss on flavor. The first plate of a trio of sweets was ok, second plate of foam of eggs and tomatoes was very nice, ceviche was ok flavor wise but there was sand in the mussels which was off putting, the pork belly was perfectly cooked and the carrot puree was nice. The dessert was a chocolate cake and a cookie.. which were SO BAD.. the cake was dry and the cookie was not needed at all. It was a really sad way to end the meal.. It was $4500 pesos per person and honestly was just ok. I wouldn't go back.. but maybe dinner service is better.

Top 50 restaurants of South America! I was on a waitlist since they are shutting down after being open for years. I got so lucky to have been able to experience this gem. I admit can't remember all the ingredients some were new to me but it was all delicious, unique and thoroughly thought out. The service was impeccable. They even surprise you with a secret dish that you get to enjoy in the kitchen. My only complaint it was a 4 hour dinner. I was fidgeting towards the end. They really balance all the dishes from savory to light to give your taste buds a rollercoaster experience. Sad to see this place close but excited to see what their new project will be.

neutrally sweet (it has cheese) excellent dessert

Tasting menu of fantastic curated dishes at about $100 usd w two glasses of vino and tip. Tip runs at 10% as a norm here or you can do your NYC classic at 20%. Because the menu is constantly changing based on what is available...what I can tell you is that the service, presentation, quality and creativity of the food is something you want to indulge in. You really do. You feel pampered and delighted every time they sneak up on you from your right and taraaaa* there is another gorgeous dish w a little story of how it was made and where it comes from. It's like your bed time story and lunch time and you are really awake waiting to hear what happens next. It starts off w a cute looking wooden tray in front with a snug paper telling you some information. Little do you know what you flip the paper and there is your first bite. The whole experience is surprising and exciting. The flavor profiles are delicate and you can taste the caliber and finesse of their thoughts when making this. I was charmed. There was an apple thin slice shaped into a taco shell....ok...I won't explain everything...I'll just say, yes to attending and yes be ready to be delighted. It was lovely.

Chila was a must stop for me and my boyfriend on a 6 day Buenos Aires food and vino voyage. Chila came highly recommended by a number of friends, family and colleagues. The ambiance is nice - amazing view of the water. Beautifully modern and immaculate restaurant. Think El Cielo (Bogotá/Medellin, Colombia) meets The Bazaar (Jose Andres). Many of the dishes were deconstructed with a touch of molecular gastronomy. Good use of foams and purees. The textures on the plate were all exceptional along with overall presentation - take a look at the pictures! Like most wine menus in BA - all the wines were local. In this case they were top notch and beautifully paired with all the dishes. Sadly we never made it through the entire menu due to a timing conflict. However all dishes were very memorable. The prawns were PERFECTLY cooked - the sauce excellent and well paired with the white grape. We were slightly sad we never made it to the cheese course and got to plunder the huge glass cheese case we saw while walking in!!

This was an amazing experience from start to finish. Be sure to go VERY HUNGRY! I understand the chef has just changed so what I am describing is from the Chef Alicia Moreau. There is a choice of two tasting menus - one is 3 course and the other 7 courses. We chose the 3 course. There are a number of choices for the appetizer, main course and dessert. Additionally there are two amuse bouche and a "pre-dessert" that comes with the meal. Above and beyond that there is an amazing bread course with incredible choices that are hard to choose from. We ended up trying nearly all of them. The setting is beautiful - on the water in the Puerto Madero area. If it's a nice night I highly recommend either coming early and waling around before your meal or staying after. The decor is very modern. The menu, meal and service is modern gourmet. There is at least some molecular gastronomy. The flavor combinations are incredible. We chose a diverse array of items that included meat, fish and goat so we asked for some help choosing a bottle of wine. The list is far and away Argentinian. The sommolier was very nice and approachable and not at all pushy. He recommended a moderately priced wine that was delicious and paired nicely with everything. It was the most expensive meal we had in Buenos Aires (more in line with NYC), but definiltey worth it!

We had hoped to go to Tegui while in BA, but it was closed while we were in town. Chila had been recommended by Tegui as an alternative, and it was fabulous! A lovely view of the river, gorgeous décor, excellent service, and an amazing menu with well-paired wines. One of my favorite things was the initial courses of Snacks. Such a fun and clever idea to start a tasting menu! And they also had a bread course. Why don't more top restaurants serve bread with their tasting menus?? I mean, we ALL love bread, don't we?! And a bit of fun before the beef course was when they brought around a box with various designs of steak knife, and let you choose your weapon....I'm sure there could be a psychological interpretation based on choices! And finally, their dessert courses were whimsical and yummy....mini ice cream cone, anyone? We were only in town for an overnight layover (not even 24 hours), but our visit to Chila was well worth it. Highly recommend!

"Snacks" at Chila - amuse bouche, really

Excellent! Had the 4 course menu - the only thing I didn't approve of was the fish on that specific menu - no bueno, to say the least. So they switched out the plate and provided hake in broccoli emulsion - that was perfection. The palate cleanser, the dessert - cooking techniques are stellar (look at my photos and imagine.) Uniformly high standard, service is perfect, environment is beautiful - highly, highly recommended!

We were in Buenos Aires for a few days prior to our Antartica Trip and asked our concierge at the Sofitel Hotel where we could go for a true Buenas Aires Steak experience. Without any delay he said that we must try Las Lilas. A simple ride over and beautiful location at the site of their redone area along the riverside. Much like every other city is doing. Restaurants. apartments, shops and lots of young people enjoying themselves. We walked inside this beautiful Steakhouse and elected to sit outside where we could enjoy the beautiful view and atmosphere in lovely warm weather. Let me be frank.... Walking into a beautiful Michelin restaurant is pretty much the same around the world. You walk in with a smile and high expectations. Right here in the beginning I will say that the team and service was impeccable from the beginning. Flawless in my opinion. They came over in introduced themselves while bringing us some water, cheesy bread and taking our drink order Appetizers: Three styles of tomatoes. Selection of cheeses from their very complete collection. Main items: 16oz PIcahna steak (shared) Fried Potatoes (shared) Of course the wine was Malbec which paired so perfectly with all the amazing food. I am not going to go through each item other than saying everything was 'over the top' delicious. My friend said to me that once you've had Buenas Aires Beef you'll never forget the amazing flavor. Even through my wife likes her meat more on the well side, it retained the tenderness and unbelievable flavor. There is definitely a reason that a place like this become a Michelin Restaurant. Cabaña Las Lilas is flawless and judging from the look on the faces of the other diners around us.... They thought so too. Please see the pictures I added. Many people shared as the portions are very generous. KUDOS to the team at Cabaña Las Lilas

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!

We started off with a basket of warm house bread, and it came with several different types, but by far my favorite was the focaccia, which was topped with cheese and herbs and had a lightly salty flavor! All the breads went nicely with the ramekin of sauce on the side, which our waiter described as homemade "mayonnaise." Next, we had the Silo Pampeano salad, made of quinoa, roasted almont, goat cheese, arugula pesto, and fresh arugula. The salad was nothing fancy, but dressed with a little olive oil and vinegar, made for a really refreshing yet hearty dish. Finally, we tried the Milanga Pampeana, which was a thinly-pounded slice of deer meat, which was then breaded and fried, served over fried slices of sweet potato and a side of Mendozan tomatican, which was a mixture of egg, tomatoes, onions, and peppers cooked in a small iron skillet. While the deer meat had a nice gamey flavor, parts of it were a bit tough, and there was way too much greasy breading, given how thin the slice of meat was! However, it was tasty nevertheless, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try more of the menu. The standout of this restaurant to me, however, was the service--there was only one waiter manning the entire restaurant, but he was so kind, attentive, friendly, and helpful! Great experience, and great value!

Service: when servers are wanting to serve you but refrained from it and have to ask the Manager if ok to do so, that's bad management so we don't blame the servers for leaving us waiting for our one and only server to help us. Server was surprised because we tip more than their 10% standard (again, not their fault the service wasn't good enough, we saw him while waiting our turn, he was hustling several tables alone). Manager seemed busy, she stood near our table but never asked us if we were taken care of or not, nobody picked up our pile of plates near the border of our table ready to go and two different servers asked her if they could help us but she preferred to call our server who had his hands full and turned to see her to listen to her while putting a hard to watch fake smile ... the poor guy! We just really wanted to pay and leave. Ambiance: servers seemed overwhelmed, we didn't get the teamwork feeling like in most places. Price: we paid in cash so with the current exchange rate this was cheap but by local standards we could've spent the same amount or less somewhere else and have a better result than this no doubt. I really hope that if you're reading this and still decided to come that you have better luck than we did. We heard from a handful of people we asked recommending this place so I didn't read any of the reviews. Lesson learned!
