    Meat empanada and ossobuco empanada
    Jen C.

The theme and ambiance here is unmatched. You can see from the name of the restaurant to all the interior decorations they love the Perón family. The empanadas were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and learned from a friend you're supposed to give the empanadas a light shake to get all the inner juices going. The meat and cheese empanada was my favourite. Ordered the ossobuco (one of their recommended dishes) as my main and it did not disappoint! You cannot get this quality for this price anywhere in the US. Ossobuco with polenta was about $12 USD and I'd go back and eat it weekly if I could. Go check this place out!

A place for tourists and Peronistas. Where the food is abundant, the decor nostalgic and the staff political. Tshirts, menu items, murals and tons of references to Juan Domingo Peron. At one point the Marcha peronista blasts out and some like myself mouth the words to a song that has become sinónimo with Buenos Aires. Pricey but not for tourists at all. Prepared well and plated satisfying all those points we enjoyed the food .

A legendary in Buenos Aires, highly recommend you to check it out while you visit: it might seem a bit touristy because it's the only place dedicated to the Peron family, there are a lot of pictures of both of them. There are also a lot of writings on the wall you can look, most of them are peoples opinions in different languages The food on the other hand, wow, it's amazing. And amazingly cheap. Don't be surprised that your bill came out so little, the waiter said it's normal price the Palermo are tourist price this is what real Buenos Aires people can afford. I had Osobuco Braseado (veal shank) for $12 or if you exchange money it's basically half price. The portion is huge, i had one dish was super full. The meat falls off the bone, and so juicy and flavorful. It's a must have dish Service was great I was the only one at 7pm because I eat early. And the waiter speaks fluent English, the only one actually can have a proper talk without a problem in four days in BA. My fault that I don't speak Spanish.

Very cute little eatery! We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly and welcoming service here. Our waiter mercifully spoke English-and handed us an English menu. He also took the time to recommend a perfect Malbec to go with our empanadas and Osso Bucco. My husband had the Milanese-which was perfectly cooked and topped with a fried egg. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!

Reservations are recommended but we came early, before 8pm on a Thursday, and had no issue being seated without reservations. This place was made known to me through Bourdain and I am sure glad I gave this place a try. Excellent service, excellent meal. The restaurant is casual yet wonderfully decorated with Evita art. We started off with their fresh bread with a cilantro aioli. I actually am not a fan of the bread in Buenos Aires but this was an exception. Super soft on the inside and slightly crisp on the outside. Flavoring was great! Pair it with the aioli and you can't stop eating! Entrees: Empanadas - Personally I think it was the best empanadas I had in Buenos Aires. We tried one of each including cheese, carne and osso bucco. The crust was super flakey, hot. The stuffing of the empanada were just as delicious. The whole combination was really good, both in texture and flavor. Paku - Fish relative of the piranha. It was a delicious white fish. The fillet is huge and for 500 pesos, it was well worth it. It easily could be shared between 4 people. It came with arugula and roasted potatoes. The fish itself was tender with rock salt on top of it which was great! Tasted very fresh, no fishy taste. Osso Bucco - The lamb was fall off the bone on a cloud of mashed potatoes. Meat was nicely seasoned and mashed potatoes had a good taste to it too. I wasn't sure if we got the right dish because it seemed everyone got the lamb shank but regardless, still a great choice. This place is cash only so don't forget those pesos!

    Osso Bucco with mashed potatoes

This restaurant and its atmosphere lived up to the hype. The food and service were great and we enjoyed the regular outbreak of songs and clapping during our meal. I had the Osso Bucco with mashed potatoes and it was OUTSTANDING! Great value and a fun place to start our Buenos Aires adventure.

Loved the feel and ambiance of this restaurant. Staff was so nice and friendly and food was great. We loved they blasted the Peron Peron song and everyone would clap along. Food was pretty good.

One of my favorite meals in BA/Argentina. The restaurant is quirky but fun. The food is amazing. The service is bad but we were probably some of the last customers and I don't think they cared about serving us. -Wine was great -Prices were amazing for the quality -Empanadas were tasty - osso bucco and buffalo -Provoleta was my favorite in BA -Pastel bondiola was amazing. -Lamb osso bucco, amazing. A must stop if I return to BA

Top left was the ribs, my favorite dish I sampled. The bottom was a parilla which was huge, shareable, and so good.

This local spot is a fantastic addition to any Buenos Aires stay. The ambiance is really fun with pictures lining the walls including many with the Peróns. This place and its connection to the Peróns is also accented by the political Perón song that comes on occasionally, usually leading to a lot of chanting throughout the restaurant. This is definitely a fun and unique vibe to experience during the stay. I recommend looking up the history of the Peróns to understand & connect to the place even more. As for the food, this was one of the best sets of meat I had during my visit to Buenos Aires. They also had incredible hearty portions too. Come with a big group and an empty stomach to share their great meat options.

The food and the service was very good. The atmosphere was kitschy which contributed to the overall experience.

Loved this place as it is very original quick service and very friendly staff. The ambiance politically charged but makes for a very interesting view and read. Great creative plates. If by yourself ask for a seat at the bar....both bartenders chefs are nice and entertaining conversations to be had. One of then was the manager I guess. Great value portion quality and flavor. I will be back every chance I get.

    Flan maravilhoso!

This place proves that Argentinian restaurants can indeed satisfy a gluten-free pescetarian! We started by sharing the artichoke tortilla, which was so good! It almost seemed like an artichoke frittata. For the main course, I ordered the pacu fish, which was a huge portion that I was able to share. It came with potatoes and some tomatoes stuffed with capers. I also ate some of the sweet potatoes that accompanied the dish that my friends ordered and they were so good! As for the dessert...all dietary rules went out the window when I saw the flan. It has sea salted dulce de leite and a creamy whipped cream and it is divine! I said I was 'having only one bite'. That was impossible. The ambiance here is so cool. It is fun and hip and people are just having a blast. It is loud but not overwhelming. Loud enough to get you in the mood to do something lively after dinner. It is fun to be let in on the little traditions that the bar has, like banging on the table when the Peronism anthem comes on. The owner/head chef came and chatted with us and is so friendly and awesome. He really attempts to create a friendship with his customers, and it is noticeable and appreciated :) Great wine list! Our waiter picked out a nice Malbec for us. I highly recommend this place if you are in BA.

The places were loud and the music was not cohesive to the ambiance. We luckily found the Harrison Speakeasy and we had such a wonderful time. It's open late and really gives the speakeasy vibes that so many "speakeasies" are lacking these days. The music was great. The DJ was very impressive and played a nice array of music. Seamlessly mixing old and new salsa and more. The drinks - we finally had some good drinks here! I was so happy after the previous bars we had been to. The only downside here was that we got there and were having such a good time, then it closed and we were left wanting more. It was such a nice time and I really appreciated the opportunity to visit during our trip!

It was a bit funny seeing another country's interpretation of "American culture" but I think Harrison nailed it - from the New York newspaper menus to the classy interior to the expertly made cocktails. I could not decide on the cocktail menu, so the bartender asked me what my preferences were. She whipped up a mint banana drink and it was SO AMAZINGLY GOOD. Like one of the best cocktails of my life. AND it was only $6!! (Granted, all the cocktails in Buenos Aires are $6 USD) During my visit to Buenos Aires I also tried two of the "world's top 50" bars: Tres Monos and Floreria Atlantico. Honestly, I think Harrison has them both beat in terms of ambiance and beverage. Wonderful experience and I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

For the average American patron, the draft beer selection might not be terribly impressive, since there are mostly beer brands like Stella, Blue Moon, Dos Equis, and Sam Adams, but considering just about no other bars in the area serve these beers, it's actually kinda cool. Also, it's not like there aren't a few other brands as well, so you can certainly find something that you haven't seen before. Anyways, I can see how a lot of American ex-pats would come here for a taste of home. The beer selection can be seen on the large chalkboard menu on the back wall behind the bar. You won't miss it, because it is an impressive, immense work of art. We didn't order any food, but it seems like there's a lot of American pub food available like burgers and fries. The prices were pretty awesome, with a pint costing you AR$50, and a half-pint at $AR30. Not too shabby in my opinion. The staff behind the bar is pretty attentive and quick, and a majority have pretty good English, so you don't have to worry too much about embarrassing yourself with broken Spanish. I didn't really see Buenos Aires as having a very big beer bar culture, but this visit really changed my views. That isn't to say that I think that beer culture has taken over, but the fact that places like this exist and that they're uber popular is definitely a sign that things could be trending that way. It'll be cool to see if that type of culture develops in the coming years. Cash only.
