One of the best gourmet steakhouses in Palermo, and the whole city. We were a party of two and sat inside for a late lunch on a weekday. Service was excellent. Not sure of the meat cuts, the server brought some to our table to choose. We picked "ojo de bife, a ribeye cut of 400 gm that was grilled to perfection and we shared. We also shared a nice green salad and potato fries and Malbec wine. The cost was reasonable, the ambiance pleasant and the quality of food and service was outstanding. This establishment was formerly a grocery store, the corner building is from the early 1900s in a trendy and very safe area of town.

Our dinner was an absolute delight! The meats were cooked to perfection, complemented by a refreshing salad and the most heavenly Dulce de leche flan. The extensive wine selection added an extra touch of excellence. The waiter was very attentive at all times.

A bit expensive for Argentinian food, but the steaks were well cooked and aged well. A good assortment of meats here and each one dish was tender. Some of the best steak I've had in Argentina. The Salad was good, and the grilled cheese was made well. A must try spot for good an Argentinian steak experience. The only downside was that the food came slowly.

For having a party of 8, service was stellar. Our waiter was very patient as everyone decided what appetizers and entrees they would have. I had garlic parsley fries, house salad, beef empanadas, and ribeye. I loved the beef empanadas. They were so tender and juicy, as well as thoroughly seasoned. The portions were also bigger than I anticipated. The ribeye was cooked nicely and was tender too. The pear and mascarpone dessert was pretty divine. The pear itself didn't lend much flavor, but the macerated berries accompanying the pear provided a nice tartness. The toasted almonds gave it a nice crunch!

Lo de Jesus was recommended by our guide and was only a few blocks walk from our Hotel. Looking back at all of our Argentina Parilla experiences, both Gayle and I agree that we had a few better meals, but no better dining experiences than this restaurant. Let our pictures tell the story of a most pleasant night out. At the beginning, we pretty much had this place to ourselves. That's what happens with an couple from Los Estados Unidos sit down outside at just a few minutes past 7:30 PM. By the time we departed sometime pat 9:30, the place was considerably busier, which from our sidewalk cafe perspective allowed for all sorts of people watching, listening in on various conversations, and speculating on motives. One case in point was a male couple behind us, where one excused himself to go to the bano and never returned. An intial date meet-up that didn't work out? Of course we had steak, but we learned and shared an order. Malbec, proveleta, and dessert and coffee were also on our menu. We really enjoyed the meal, the energy, and really appreciated our waitress who was very patient with our Castellano and our refusal to jump to English too quickly.

We ate here based on a recommendation from our taxi driver when we couldn't get into another restaurant. Best decision ever. We were seated right away and served by the nicest people. Our steaks were cooked perfectly (obviously....it's Argentina) and the sides were also delicious. No here is the best part...we ordered a wagyu steak for less than $60 usd and a full bottle of wine for $13. The whole meal came out to $83 and not a SINGLE THING WAS WRONG! Don't get me wrong this was an expensive dinner to locals standards, but from my perspective this was a fantastic deal. Plus this place had more food options that I preferred in comparison to some others. I would eat steak here again and again.

I'd say yes, and then some. A word of advice: sit inside. That's where the magic happens. The open-flame grills roaring indoors create an incredible ambiance -- intimate, lively, and unlike anything else. The outdoor seating is charming in its own right (cozy blankets draped over every chair), but the interior is the real experience. Service was exceptional. Before we even ordered, our waiter personally walked us through the kitchen to introduce us to the various cuts on display -- a thoughtful touch that made the whole meal feel like an event. We settled on the ribeye and one other cut, with the ribeye stealing the show: thick, juicy, and cooked to perfection over open flame. To top it all off, the meal came with complimentary champagne, chorizo, empanadas, and dessert -- generous extras that made an already outstanding dinner feel truly special.

The portions here are massive. And that's coming from someone who can usually put away a pretty serious steak. Here, though It's a lot even for me. Was it good Absolutely. But a little heads-up if you're visiting: learn how Argentinians order their meat. If you ask for jugoso, it'll land somewhere between rare and medium rare. Al punto is closer to medium, sometimes even leaning toward medium well depending on the kitchen. And well done. Honestly... don't even think about it. Another tip: don't rush to order sides. Unless you're just getting a salad or you're sharing with more than two people, one plate is usually more than enough. Around here, they believe in feeding you properly and they definitely deliver.
