Australian rib eye, mashed potatoes and veggies
    Isabela A.

We had dinner here before 8pm and it was super empty which was kind of nice, argentines dine late so it was good to beat the crowd before heading to a tango class. Waiter/service was amazing. I was disappointed with the buñuelos de espinaca, it did not have much flavor and neither did the caprese salad and had to sneak a salt shaker from another table to put some on there. The steak was absolutely delicious though along with the mashed potato's and veggies. It was too much food for 2, we each got a choice of meat and could not finish it even tho it was very good. Pricing is very reasonable as well!

The service was friendly and attentive but sadly I have to give low ratings for a couple reasons. But first the good: appetizers ( variedad bruschetta) were very good, interesting variety and unique flavors. In addition the waiter was attentive and friendly and able to overcome my very poor Spanish... however he made a mistake to not offer my wife another glass of wine after a fly flew into her glass and died in it. About 4-5 oz of wine wasted and he neither offered another glass or a discount on the bottle we were drinking from. Now most important, the main course: the broccoli was the best I have had and the potatoes gratin w/cream were great too... However! The steaks were bland! It was very surprising and disappointing. They lacked flavor. We added salt and pepper and it helped some but for a high price and seemingly a high end place... we expected better. Also it was very warm inside, too warm...Ah well, Buenos Aires is amazing and I hope to visit again one day!

Tried the homemade pasta fettuccine siciliana and it was delicious! Atmosphere was great, service was excellent and the wine list quite extensive.

Awesome place to have a nice dinner. Lights may be a bit bright but service and food (and wine) are fantastic.

The best part is that this is a locals restaurant, and it has such a great feel. The minute you walk inm you are welcomed by a friendly staff and led to a table, we chose upstairs and were quickly seated. Our waiter was friendly and jovial, and spoke great english. He recommended a Malbec, and then we ordered a bunch of food, which came quickly. As we dined, the placed filled up quickly, and looking around, there was not an empty table in the place- upstairs or down. The restaurnat has an Italian family feel, white table cloths and worn, but classy china. Plus the grill is amazing. Overall, this place is excellent, and a local friend who I dined with said he will be making this place one of his regular stops!

The portions here are massive. And that's coming from someone who can usually put away a pretty serious steak. Here, though It's a lot even for me. Was it good Absolutely. But a little heads-up if you're visiting: learn how Argentinians order their meat. If you ask for jugoso, it'll land somewhere between rare and medium rare. Al punto is closer to medium, sometimes even leaning toward medium well depending on the kitchen. And well done. Honestly... don't even think about it. Another tip: don't rush to order sides. Unless you're just getting a salad or you're sharing with more than two people, one plate is usually more than enough. Around here, they believe in feeding you properly and they definitely deliver.

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!

This was my first time here but my mom has dined here before when she visited. Our server was a nice gentleman and older. Most of the staff was older and I liked that because I don't see that often when I dine out. Complimentary bread was provided. I did a house red and the server gave me a generous pour; it was deliciously smooth. My mom ordered grilled chicken (it was a huge portion) and a side salad (also pretty large portion). I ordered beef and chicken empanadas. I preferred the beef over the chicken but both were really tasty. The pastry was nice a flaky and the filling inside moist and flavorful. We typed out what we wanted on a translator app and we got what we ordered. The complementary bread was very hard and I supposed that could be the style but it wasn't good. More food than we could possible eat. Skip the empanadas and go with the olives and skewer and you'll be full.

We started with a tortilla de papa y cebolla, a local dish which was definitely generous enough to share among four people. I ended up liking his choice better with a bit of fat made it extra flavorful and he happily finished my tenderloin piece, so it all worked out perfectly. We also shared a plate of grilled vegetables for good measure. The bread basket was excellent, especially with the accompanying sauces. We showed up at 7 and by 8:30 the place was packed and people were going to the upstairs dinign area. This is a beautiful restaurant with an incredible aura about it. Easy to tell who the regulars were as they were called by first name. We tried to chnage up our appitizers from the first night. We came here so my husband could try the steak so tender, it's ceremoniously cut with a spoon. I'm not a big time meat eater, so I had the provolneta (too salty and charred) and some pasta with tomato sauce. The food was okay, but the prices were ridiculous. We skipped desert, partly because the prices on the deserts were more than some of the entrees. A big red flag. One of the things we did not appreciate was this awkward moment when it seemed like they were trying to give us alcohol we didn't order. Neither my husband or I drinks, so we had to explain that we didn't want it. The spaghetti I ordered was bare bones pasta with tomato sauce. I was really expecting a more elevated dish for the prices we paid. My husband said his steak was good, but definitely not worth the hype this place has. While the soccer memorabilia was fun to look at, the weirdness of the meal and this constant feeling that we were going to be charged for things we didn't want or the surreptitious way the desert was more expensive than some entrees really kept us on our guard. I would steer clear of this place. We had many enjoyable and wonderful dining experiences in BA and this one was a total outlier. Not worth the stress for sure.

We were in Buenos Aires for a few days prior to our Antartica Trip and asked our concierge at the Sofitel Hotel where we could go for a true Buenas Aires Steak experience. Without any delay he said that we must try Las Lilas. A simple ride over and beautiful location at the site of their redone area along the riverside. Much like every other city is doing. Restaurants. apartments, shops and lots of young people enjoying themselves. We walked inside this beautiful Steakhouse and elected to sit outside where we could enjoy the beautiful view and atmosphere in lovely warm weather. Let me be frank.... Walking into a beautiful Michelin restaurant is pretty much the same around the world. You walk in with a smile and high expectations. Right here in the beginning I will say that the team and service was impeccable from the beginning. Flawless in my opinion. They came over in introduced themselves while bringing us some water, cheesy bread and taking our drink order Appetizers: Three styles of tomatoes. Selection of cheeses from their very complete collection. Main items: 16oz PIcahna steak (shared) Fried Potatoes (shared) Of course the wine was Malbec which paired so perfectly with all the amazing food. I am not going to go through each item other than saying everything was 'over the top' delicious. My friend said to me that once you've had Buenas Aires Beef you'll never forget the amazing flavor. Even through my wife likes her meat more on the well side, it retained the tenderness and unbelievable flavor. There is definitely a reason that a place like this become a Michelin Restaurant. Cabaña Las Lilas is flawless and judging from the look on the faces of the other diners around us.... They thought so too. Please see the pictures I added.
