House salad is a great starter for your steak dinner.

If you're looking to avoid the tourist trap steakhouses and prices, go to La Brigada. Located in a quaint area of San Telmo surrounded by restaurants,, cafes and the San Telmo Mercado, the steaks are delicious, and the server really cuts your steak with a spoon! Friendly service, though English is not readily spoken. If you're a sports fan, you'll enjoy all the futbol jerseys hung on the walls next to photos of all types of sports. The top of ribeye, Corizo de Bife (NY Strip) and filet mignon were all sampled and prepared medium-medium rare. Nicely seasoned and juicy. Enjoy!

I came in here with several of my colleagues while on a business trip. They had been here several times before and highly recommended it. I can now see why. We made reservations beforehand and were quickly seated upon arrival. Our server spoke enough English to help us and the menu was also written in English. The restaurant is located in a very vibrant area with many restaurants and bars. Definitely a fun place to go out. By local standards this is a more expensive restaurant but we all felt it was worth every penny. There were eight of us and we all ordered some type of steak. We started off with an appetizer of the Provençale Cheese appetizer. It is baked provolone and was incredible. After that I had a caprese salad and the tomatoes were ripe and perfect. They also brought out amazing bread and breadsticks with a dipping sauce that were also delicious. After the salads our steaks arrived. They brought them all out on a platter and then used a spoon to cut into each steak to ensure that the doneness was perfect and to show you how amazingly tender the steak is. Between all of us we ordered the garlic french fries, scalloped potatoes, and fresh spinach. Of these, the french fries were my absolute favorite and I could have made a meal out of them. The filet steak was massive and after eating everything else we had had I ended up taking 2/3 back to my hotel with me. After dinner a caramel crêpe type dessert was ordered and it too was phenomenal. I would absolutely recommend coming here. You may pay a bit more than you would at some of the other area restaurants but it will be worth every penny that you pay. The food, the service, and the ambience were all terrific.

Another year! Back again.... Lulu worried about ordering the corte especial given the last time didn't measure up to the 1st rendition But not to worry it was great! as well as the starters of wild boar sausage & saltier chorizo with arugula & mixed green salads...I loved the bone in short rib roast Lulu less so...then right when food arrived, Tajo woke up wide so TA strolled him back Casa Bolivar took his meal to go I had requested an El Enemigo Malbec ...none..was directed to a 2017 Redon estate Bramare Malbec very rich delicious 14.7% heavy duty! Superb service! great ambiance!

I love the atmosphere of this place. If you like fútbol this is a place not to be missed in BA. The memorabilia is very impressive. The staff is always attentive and very professional. The food really never disappoints.

Great find on our latest trip to Buenos Aires. Eclectic decor of soccer memorabilia, and old world chandelier and molding. Offer a wide range of wines in different prices in a higher end, so you can easily get a bottle that will be more than your meal. LOL which happened to me, when I said I wanted a small bottle of malbec. Don't get me wrong the Rutini Malbec they brought was great with my meal it was just sticker shock when we got the bill for the half bottle, was more than my steak. Now the steak on the other hand that we got, was so good and tender that they used a fork to split the steak between us. It melted in our mouth, the morcilla, and chorizo was seasoned well and delish. The cut we got was a NY strip and what they call top ribeye, cooked perfectly! Will definitely be back on our next visit to BA

Place is iconic. Decor is fun and historic. Plates were amazing. Servers were quick friendly and had good suggestion. My meat was as expected delicious and tender full of flavor. See video on Instagram it got cut with spoon. Wine was malbec excellent too. Great desserts. And prices were in range with Buenos Aires good restaurants not overcharging. The value I perceived was top notch. Became one of my favorites.

It seems that everyone agrees that the food is very good the prices are high. The wine is rediculosly expensive. It is king of a tourist trap don't let the waiter order wine x you. They will take you to the cleaners. When I don't see locals eating it does not give me a good feeling. In any case, food is good wine is very expensive by Argentinian standards. Pleasant looking place.

Amazing provoleta, combine with Argentinian chorizo. And bife de chorizo as a mais course. Paired with Trupeter Reserva Malbec. The Best!

Probably the best steak house in the area. I had to wait for 20min aprox , which is normal for this establishment .Previous reservation is highly recommended! The place feels like a pub for "futbol" fans. Every famous team shirt, souvenirs or random Argentine culture icon is stuffed in the walls or any shelf. They only serve Argentine wine, why the heck would want to try another if youre in Argentina? Dare to try a brand you havent tried before and keep in mind you will want more than a bottle after you finish the Splendid meat you get in this temple.

Definitely a very interesting place for lunch. Price was decent when paying by USD but I figured it's kind of pricey for the locals. Food was very tasty and service was great. Very nice restaurant that I would come again when in Buenos Aires.

Welcome to Argentina and the land of steak. This is the perfect place to give you a welcome to this country. It was our first steak dinner in Buenos Aires. The restaurant is located in the charming area of San Telmo. It is decorated with soccer memorabilia as the owners are big fans and lots of chandeliers. Now for the most important part...the meat. Oh my cow! It was cooked to perfection, so tender and the flavors were delicious. You don't even need to add any of the chimichurri sauce as the meat stands on its own with the flavors. We also ordered some fries with lots of fresh garlic and parsley. Perhaps the best French fries I have ever had! Order them! My husband ordered a 2014 Malbec and per his words "the best Malbec I had in Argentina" The service was top notch as the waiters know their thing about the meats and were helpful in recommending the wine as well. We need it wheelchair assistance to get back to our hotel as we were full. The meal was so filling we didn't even have room for dessert.

We had the best steaks here during our two week stay in Argentina. The portions here are massive. And that's coming from someone who can usually put away a pretty serious steak. Here, though It's a lot even for me. Was it good Absolutely. But a little heads-up if you're visiting: learn how Argentinians order their meat. If you ask for jugoso, it'll land somewhere between rare and medium rare. Al punto is closer to medium, sometimes even leaning toward medium well depending on the kitchen. And well done. Honestly... don't even think about it. Another tip: don't rush to order sides. Unless you're just getting a salad or you're sharing with more than two people, one plate is usually more than enough. Around here, they believe in feeding you properly and they definitely deliver.

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!
