    Grilled trout

A great restaurant located in Recoleta area. This place deservedly got a mention in the Michelin guide. The decor is beautiful, very European like most of Buenos Aires and will transport you to Paris. The service was outstanding as was the food. The portions in Argentina are huge, so you're better off ordering less, rather than waste a lot of food. We ordered a bottle of Malbec. They served a bread basket with a couple of delicious spreads. We ordered the baked Provolone for appetizer and it was good. I had the grilled lamb. The lamb was perfectly grilled and the chimichurri was delicious. My partner had grilled trout. For dessert we had the pancke with dulce de leche and this was outstanding. The total bill was around $120.

Food was so great we forgot to take pictures! A must when you're in BA, Fervor exceeded all expectations. The place was large enough for our group of 13 and service was amazing. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. We started off with some white and red wines to go with our mushrooms, provoleta, chorizo and morcilla appetizers. Everything was great! Not a bite left on the table. Next we all went to the meats and had varieties of steak. Of course I had the Lomo because, hey it's BA and the Lomo is great here. I went with the Colita de Lomo at the suggestion of the server and it was spectacular. We enjoyed some potatoes and vegetables on the side and were so full we couldn't make it to dessert. We did have a limoncello to wash it all down. I would absolutely come back and recommend it for anyone in the area.

This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend and so happened to be 1-1/2 blocks from the Palacio Duhau- yay! Ambiance-very clubby, 1920s era, red leather booths. Food - the bread basket with various types of bread and served with a chicken salsa type dip, excellent. The tenderloin steak was superb! I'm not really a steak person but this cut of beef was outstanding and prepared perfectly. I couldn't be happier. The starter salad was good and really large, couldn't finish it. The cream spinach was a little bland, that's why the 4 star rating. Service - the waiters were really attentive, friendly, efficient.

We went here 3 nights in a row it was so good. This is our favorite restaurant in Buenos Aires. Its located on a quiet street in Recoleta. The service is excellent. The waitstaff are very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food is delicious. We have tried the ribs, picana, bife, potatoes, garlic fries, beef empanadas, fried provolone (like fried mozzarella but with provolone and italian spices), the chocolate mousse, and the lava cake. All have been delicious and cooked perfectly. Try all the steaks and definitely order the fried provolone and the lava cake.

Lomo, matambre, strip and grilled potato!

Fervor was an unexpected treat. Everything was outstanding. The restaurant itself was beautiful, the service was attentive, my husband raved about his cocktail before dinner and the food was excellent! We shared everything and enjoyed every bite, including grilled provolone and chorizo to start, lomo, strip, matambre and grilled potatoes for entrees and panqueque de dulce de leche and flan for dessert. I only wish we had time to go back this week while in town for vacation. In addition, we dined at Don Julio during the same week, and we all agreed that Fervor was much better all around, especially the meats.

Great atmosphere with a great selection of food and a truly wonderful service experience. It has an old school Argentina day decor....very elegant...most patrons are tourists......if you are an American tourist you may feel they are locals as most people are tourists from neighboring countries. A great late lunch place

The best part is that this is a locals restaurant, and it has such a great feel. The minute you walk inm you are welcomed by a friendly staff and led to a table, we chose upstairs and were quickly seated. Our waiter was friendly and jovial, and spoke great english. He recommended a Malbec, and then we ordered a bunch of food, which came quickly. As we dined, the placed filled up quickly, and looking around, there was not an empty table in the place- upstairs or down. The restaurnat has an Italian family feel, white table cloths and worn, but classy china. Plus the grill is amazing. The portions here are massive. And that's coming from someone who can usually put away a pretty serious steak. Here, though It's a lot even for me. Was it good Absolutely. But a little heads-up if you're visiting: learn how Argentinians order their meat. If you ask for jugoso, it'll land somewhere between rare and medium rare. Al punto is closer to medium, sometimes even leaning toward medium well depending on the kitchen. And well done. Honestly... don't even think about it. Another tip: don't rush to order sides. Unless you're just getting a salad or you're sharing with more than two people, one plate is usually more than enough. Around here, they believe in feeding you properly and they definitely deliver.

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!

This was my first time here but my mom has dined here before when she visited. Our server was a nice gentleman and older. I did a house red and the server gave me a generous pour; it was deliciously smooth. My mom ordered grilled chicken (it was a huge portion) and a side salad (also pretty large portion). I ordered beef and chicken empanadas. I preferred the beef over the chicken but both were really tasty. The pastry was nice a flaky and the filling inside moist and flavorful. We came here so my husband could try the steak so tender, it's ceremoniously cut with a spoon. I'm not a big time meat eater, so I had the provolneta (too salty and charred) and some pasta with tomato sauce. The food was okay, but the prices were ridiculous. We skipped desert, partly because the prices on the deserts were more than some of the entrees. A big red flag. One of the things we did not appreciate was this awkward moment when it seemed like they were trying to give us alcohol we didn't order. Neither my husband or I drinks, so we had to explain that we didn't want it. The spaghetti I ordered was bare bones pasta with tomato sauce. I was really expecting a more elevated dish for the prices we paid. My husband said his steak was good, but definitely not worth the hype this place has. While the soccer memorabilia was fun to look at, the weirdness of the meal and this constant feeling that we were going to be charged for things we didn't want or the surreptitious way the desert was more expensive than some entrees really kept us on our guard. I would steer clear of this place. We had many enjoyable and wonderful dining experiences in BA and this one was a total outlier. Not worth the stress for sure.

We were in Buenos Aires for a few days prior to our Antartica Trip and asked our concierge at the Sofitel Hotel where we could go for a true Buenas Aires Steak experience. Restaurants. apartments, shops and lots of young people enjoying themselves. We walked inside this beautiful Steakhouse and elected to sit outside where we could enjoy the beautiful view and atmosphere in lovely warm weather. Let me be frank.... Walking into a beautiful Michelin restaurant is pretty much the same around the world. You walk in with a smile and high expectations. Right here in the beginning I will say that the team and service was impeccable from the beginning. Flawless in my opinion. They came over in introduced themselves while bringing us some water, cheesy bread and taking our drink order Appetizers: Three styles of tomatoes. Selection of cheeses from their very complete collection. Main items: 16oz PIcahna steak (shared) Fried Potatoes (shared) Of course the wine was Malbec which paired so perfectly with all the amazing food. I am not going to go through each item other than saying everything was 'over the top' delicious. My friend said to me that once you've had Buenas Aires Beef you'll never forget the amazing flavor. Even through my wife likes her meat more on the well side, it retained the tenderness and unbelievable flavor. There is definitely a reason that a place like this become a Michelin Restaurant. Cabaña Las Lilas is flawless and judging from the look on the faces of the other diners around us.... They thought so too. Please see the pictures I added.
