I have been here several times over the years. The service is first class. The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. I recommend anything on the menu as everything I have had is always fantastic.

Food was very good. Wine list is extensive. Could be romantic for couples with nice view of the boats docked across the canal. A bit slow bringing the check once we asked (at least 15 minutes).

Ordered Ribeye, medium well, they let you choose the sides - pictured here are sautéed mushrooms and mash potatoes. T

Very good service. Attentive and knowledgeable service staff. They know their product...the ribeye came out perfectly cooked medium well just coarse salt and cooked over wood coals.

Fantastic service. Well presented dishes. I'm not sure about the chimichurri. Tried the sweet bread. I would take the server's suggestion get half order. Ordered too much after all. It's over priced for sure because it's not hard to find great Argentinian steakhouse in Buenos Aires. But they make it up with great view of the riverfront, beautiful indoor decor ambience and professional service, I'm in professional.

Amazing steaks and ambiance. Seemed slightly overpriced as it is one of the more expensive places I have visited in the city but the meal was not to be under rated. With a rancher style and vibe in the interior, the mood was set for giant, delicious steaks. I got the 1000 gram shareable steak and it seemed much bigger than advertised. Two of us were no where near finishing it and was amazing.

Came during the week, got early and we were promptly seated. We had a big party, and the waitress was extremely patient and helpful. We had a share-plate of meats with picanha and the "soufflé potatoes" that were fluffy and crispy at the same time. The steak was cooked to perfection and needed no extra seasonings! Loved it. My fam got empanadas and chorizo and carpaccio and everyone loved it. I waited for the meats and didn't disappoint, and we watered everything down with a delicious Argentinean Cabernet Sauvignon OMG! Perfect! For dessert we shared the dulce the leche crepe and the milhojas too. Sooo good! The service was a little slow but excellent and the place was bright, plenty of tables, clean and well decorated. Excellent value for your dollar, definitely recommend!!!

We were looking for a new place to try. Saw the good reviews on Cabana Las Lila's and it was also close by our hotel in Puerto Madero. Restaurant is upscale and has a dark interior. Upon entering, there is a wall of wine bottles. We made early dinner reservations and seated on the patio with a nice view of the canal. Their bread service is better than other places we have been to. It had a number of spreads as well as salmon. We ordered T-bone steak medium rare to share. Had deducted one star (half a star really) for undercooking it... it was rare than medium rare. Not sure if our server got confused. When they brought out the steak, they will cut it up for you before serving. Nice touch. We also ordered a side of truffle mashed potatoes which were delicious! Tip: Steaks in Argentina tend to be on the larger size. People tend to share the steak rather than order their own. Overall, amazing service, food is amazing and located in a great location. Will be back next time we visit.

So we're in Buenos Aires on our way to meet our cruise ship and spent the night in town. I looked at Yelp, of course, for reviews and had it narrowed down to two places. Following the Husby's rule of "if there are lots of cars in front of a place it must be good" we looked at the crowds between this place and the other and there were lots more people here... so we tried it... and it was good. It had inside and outside dining. We chose in because we just aren't used to this heat. First off, you have to remember that this is European-style dining and if they put something in front of you and you eat it you have to pay for it. I knew there was a charge for the bread and relish plate, but we were hungry and everything looked amazing... and, it was - hummus, fresh mozzarella, cheese dip, relish, and more. The bread was soft and warm on the inside, perfect crunch on the outside. A separate plate of little cheese bread balls was served and those were equally yummy. The server (who speaks English and Spanish) gave good wine recommendations. A local Chardonnay for the Husby and a pleasant Merlot and Cab blend for me. Speaking of service, top notch; always looking and seeing what was needed including topping off our waters, carrying away plates, etc. All very friendly. Dinner is where I took a star off. The Husby had the fish of the day; vegetables were good but a bit charred and the fish was mild but not flaky. It had a flavorful sauce, but needed just a bit more salt. I got the lamb. The meat came pulled apart in a sauce on top of truffle mashed potatoes. Something was off on the seasoning of the lamb, and I honestly can't say what. I thought at first they might have been too generous on the truffle oil on the potatoes, but separately that wasn't it. I just can't explain, but at $60 for the plate I can't say it was worth it. So one star off. Dessert, though, truly made up for it. They brought a beautiful display of dessert bites, but again if you eat you have to pay for it... we didn't because we were saving ourselves for the homemade ice cream... so worth the wait. The Husby is a connoisseur of ice cream, and he was having a moment of pure bliss proclaiming it's the "best ice cream I've ever eaten." It was truly good. We had the dulce de leche ice cream and it was so rich and decadent. If we hadn't eaten dinner we might have gone for the ice cream tasting. Maybe when we come back (like for next year's cruise), because this is definitely a restaurant we'd come back to again if only to try all of the other dishes we saw going around us as we ate. And, I didn't even talk about the after dinner tea I had which is their own custom blend of black tea, Patagonian berries and "scented" with dulce de leche. A superb end to a pretty good meal. Given the current exchange, we paid about $165 in US dollars.

Don't go here! Tourist trap! If you live a bit in Buenos Aires you might learn to avoid my mistake of going here. I'm sure the ratings come from mostly American tourists. This is a very average steakhouse in Argentina, the only thing that stands out is ... they charge you 3 time the price of a good steakhouse here. But for our American friends, I get it, the price is normal. When I ordered water I notice they served me fancy water compared to all other tables. Other table got normal bottle water but mine is a totally different type as I speak English. They never asked! Then they serve you the normally bread spread (appetizers) n oil at steakhouse. I loved it. I ate all the cheese breads but left everything else. I then asked for more cheese breads. They decided to remove ALL of my untouched spread (shown in photo) for no reason and served totally a new one. And no, they are not free! They charged me for both bread spreads. They are really trying hard to make money here. Foods: foods here are ok, not bad but not great either. I had wagu beef at $60 dollars at a more fancy steak house last week, but here for the same it's $120. For a normal ribeye I paid $15 at another fancy steakhouse in Palermo, here it's $50. I took picture of the menu here for your reference (it's in peso, 1 dollar = 850 peso). Just don't go here guys, you are in Argentina the land of steak! Do not fall for this tourist trap. Don't fall for our American friend's naive reviews.

One of the disruptive diners who were so offensive that we could not enjoy our dinner, paid and left.
    Collene G.

Our meal was disrupted by a group of loud, drunk people who were literally screaming at one another. The management did nothing. It was so bad that we paid our bill and left. On the way out, one of them was passed out on the bench in front of where the food is grilled. When you can't enjoy dinner, much less at an expensive restaurant, because the management allows this behavior, something is very wrong.

This is probably the 2nd. best steak restaurant in Buenos Aires, only behind Don Julio which is recognized as the best steak house in the world. I have been coming to this restaurant for years, on every business trip I take to BA. The only problem with this restaurant is that it will compromise your level of steak quality. If you are here for a few days no other restaurant will measure up to Las Cabañas. If you have never been here, treat yourself, this place is ex

Tasty food. Modest serving sizes. Ultra high prices. Price-performance ratio is not there. If you visit Argentina chances are a notion will nag at you to try Argentine beef while you're in country. This restaurant rates in the top 200 restaurants in Buenos Aires. The fact that it places in around #143 depending on the time and source of evaluation may suggest there's a good reason it is not #1. Judging by my experience at eateries all over the world spanning decades, this place is, simply put, way overpriced and overhyped.

But a little heads-up if you're visiting: learn how Argentinians order their meat. If you ask for jugoso, it'll land somewhere between rare and medium rare. Al punto is closer to medium, sometimes even leaning toward medium well depending on the kitchen. And well done. Honestly... don't even think about it. Another tip: don't rush to order sides. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! We came here so my husband could try the steak so tender, it's ceremoniously cut with a spoon. I'm not a big time meat eater, so I had the provolneta (too salty and charred) and some pasta with tomato sauce. The food was okay, but the prices were ridiculous. We skipped desert, partly because the prices on the deserts were more than some of the entrees. A big red flag. One of the things we did not appreciate was this awkward moment when it seemed like they were trying to give us alcohol we didn't order. Neither my husband or I drinks, so we had to explain that we didn't want it. The spaghetti I ordered was bare bones pasta with tomato sauce. I was really expecting a more elevated dish for the prices we paid. My husband said his steak was good, but definitely not worth the hype this place has. While the soccer memorabilia was fun to look at, the weirdness of the meal and this constant feeling that we were going to be charged for things we didn't want or the surreptitious way the desert was more expensive than some entrees really kept us on our guard. I would steer clear of this place. We had many enjoyable and wonderful dining experiences in BA and this one was a total outlier. Not worth the stress for sure.

This is predominantly a chorizo sandwich shop that also serves a large amount of steaks but it is counter service mostly (right across from the smoking hot grills) with I think just two tables in the back. They were very nice but this is sort of like fast casual downgraded a couple of notches. It is super hot in there because of the grills but the food was good and pricing was amazing. They serve you three different sauces to go with your choripan - the traditional slightly spicy red chimichurri, an oil and garlic sauce with fresh herbs, and then the standard finally chopped up onion tomato and peppers in vinegar. The menu is garrish looking as it is an oversized placemat that has been laminated. One large piece of French bread with the grilled chorizo and three sauces was only 50 Argentinian pesos - $2.50 US. You certainly aren't needing to pay for ambience but this barely covers the cost of the food and labor!
