    Roasted garlic so good

This is the best food around. Eggplant awesome, steak awesome, roasted garlic awesome, wine awesome. You can't go wrong eating here. Italia would be proud of these chefs. Nicest service personnel. 5 stars. '80s music just a plus!!!!!

A well known parilla among locals in Palermo SoHo that is low key but superb in every sense - from the service to the grill to the table. Just great. Consistently excellent at reasonable prices compared to the more touristy papilla's in the neighborhood.

Food and service were great. Steak wasn't really seasoned but it and everything else were still good. Ambiance was cute for small parilla.

Well I have to say that Calden of Soho still does not disappoint! Ezequiel our server really knocked it out of the park for us. On this outing we came for lunch and did not need to make a line but in the evenings things start to pickup, especially on Thursdays, Fridays and the weekends so show up early if you can. As with our last outing all good items and recommendations made by Ezekiel were excellent. For starters we ordered the Grilled Provoleta (Argentinian thick grilled Provolone cheese with Olive Oil) which was amazing. Next up we orders the "Lomo a La Champignon" (Tenderloin Steak with Mushroom Sauce) with potatoes "Au Gratin" and the "Bife de Chorizo" (Ribeye Steak). with mashed potatoes. All the steaks were incredibly tender and were cooked to perfection on their coal fired grill. Service was excellent but no where near the level of service we received at Don Benito Steakhouse the night before which is why I kept their grading at 4 stars. Rounding out our lunch today we went with some homemade Flan and some espressos to boot. Yep you guessed it, deserts and coffees were very good as well. As always I highly recommend that you walk over if you are staying in the Palermo Soho area of Buenos Aires. If not, then your best bet is to UBER or take a local taxi as parking could be problematic and why would you want to drive if you want to have some drinks or enjoy some wine anyway. "Calden of Soho" is definitely a must visit if you are visiting Buenos Aires. From my perspective you are getting a lot of value for the money you are spending. Wishing you all a great time in Argentina, Enjoy and Bon Appétit!

So so soooo good!!! We were gonna wait for Don Julio (for 3 hours) but we were soooo hungry and we thought we would be wasting our time. Calden del Soho did not disappoint! Locals were eating there so I figured we made the right choice! We got the chitterlings for appetizer, two ribeye steaks, papas fritas, patagonia beer and of course malbec. Everything was sooo sooo sooo good! The steaks were huge and cooked to perfection! The complimentary bread and sauces were good too! I loooved that garlic in oil.

Greatest restaurant experience I've had here as a tourist. During my brief visit in Buenos Aires, I was looking for somewhere to eat that was walking distance. Reviews and pictures were good, so my mom and I went. We were seated promptly as we walked in. We noticed most of the patrons were dressed in formal wear, but we were not made to feel out of place. Our waiter was so kind and attentive, despite some if the challenges the language barrier presented. We each had a beef tenderloin empanada- so amazing. Best empanadas I've ever had. The meat was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. We had the "ensalada completo". Whatever dressing they used was good. It tasted of red berries, but it wasn't overwhelming. Next, my mom and I shared some of the "Ojo de Bife" as well as the "Penne Rigate" with Alfredo sauce. This Alfredo was the most pure and fresh I've had. The steak was so tender and flavorful. It was absolutely fantastic. We ordered it as well done or "to the point" and it was given to us more undercooked than we liked, but we figured the standard we have is likely different to those of locals. Still yummy. The 2 empanadas, the salad, pasta, steak, and bread had a grand total of $26,000 ARS, or around $29 USD with the current exchange rate. We had an absolutely amazing experience in every aspect. Fast service with a kind waiter, lovely romantic ambience, and unbeatable plates. I hope to return on a future visit.

We were so excited to get here and eat some great steak. We arrived and they served some bread with a 3 condiments (chimichurra, garlic, and another one i didn't taste). We ended up ordering fillet mignon, cooked rare. It was definitely not rare by US standards and not consistent throughout, but the piece of meat was so big, we had enough rare to fill us up. It did not have as much flavor as I expected. Staff was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. my expectations were too high, but I would have probably gone somewhere else.

If you want good beef this is the place in Buenos Aires. Any one who likes meat I would definitely go here.

    All the steaks are amazing.

The best part is that this is a locals restaurant, and it has such a great feel. The minute you walk inm you are welcomed by a friendly staff and led to a table, we chose upstairs and were quickly seated. Our waiter was friendly and jovial, and spoke great english. He recommended a Malbec, and then we ordered a bunch of food, which came quickly. As we dined, the placed filled up quickly, and looking around, there was not an empty table in the place- upstairs or down. The restaurnat has an Italian family feel, white table cloths and worn, but classy china. Plus the grill is amazing. The portions here are massive. And that's coming from someone who can usually put away a pretty serious steak. Here, though It's a lot even for me. Was it good Absolutely. But a little heads-up if you're visiting: learn how Argentinians order their meat. If you ask for jugoso, it'll land somewhere between rare and medium rare. Al punto is closer to medium, sometimes even leaning toward medium well depending on the kitchen. And well done. Honestly... don't even think about it. Another tip: don't rush to order sides. Unless you're just getting a salad or you're sharing with more than two people, one plate is usually more than enough. Around here, they believe in feeding you properly and they definitely deliver.

I'd say yes, and then some. A word of advice: sit inside. That's where the magic happens. The open-flame grills roaring indoors create an incredible ambiance -- intimate, lively, and unlike anything else. The outdoor seating is charming in its own right (cozy blankets draped over every chair), but the interior is the real experience. Service was exceptional. Before we even ordered, our waiter personally walked us through the kitchen to introduce us to the various cuts on display -- a thoughtful touch that made the whole meal feel like an event. We settled on the ribeye and one other cut, with the ribeye stealing the show: thick, juicy, and cooked to perfection over open flame. To top it all off, the meal came with complimentary champagne, chorizo, empanadas, and dessert -- generous extras that made an already outstanding dinner feel truly special.

Turned out a couple of Food tours were arriving soon. Lucky we were ordering takeaway. Smaller spot with just about an equal amount of in/outdoor seating. We ordered a couple of the Guest Chori's-The Juan Pedro Caballero (pork) and the Carneceria (beef). Juan Pedro had tortilla chips and peppers and the pork chorizo sausage was saltier than the beef. We ordered a Chimichurri sauce on the side and enjoyed it. We liked the Pork more than the Beef-just was more flavorful. The Bread was thick, soft and held up to the Choripan and condiments well. Potato salad with al dente potatoes was tasty. They also have beer and cocktails so ordered a Gin and Tonic while we waited for our order. Friendly people behind the counter.
