Dr. Mali is absolutely amazing. I called to request that he be added as my permanent provider…read morebecause of how comfortable and respected he made me feel. Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing. I'm tired of walking into healthcare establishments and feeling overlooked. While I was standing in line waiting to be helped, a staff member walked right past me and asked the person behind me if they needed assistance. Moments like that make me feel invisible. The older doctor was not pleasant, and I felt rushed throughout my appointment. He didn't even examine my eyes, which was one of the reasons I came in. As a Black woman, I expect the same level of respect, attention, and quality of care as every other patient. Every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued regardless of the color of their skin. I sincerely hope this office reflects on how patients are treated so that everyone receives the same standard of care.

I'm only giving a two because the doctor was very nice and competent. I ordered two pair of…read moreglasses on January 7. They told me the glasses would be ready by January 22, both pairs. I called to see if they were ready and talked to someone named Jasmine. She had me on hold forever, so when she finally came back on, I asked her to call me when she knew the status of my glasses. She never called. I finally drove there. Three people were working in the front and there were no customers in the store. I asked about my glasses. Jasmine told me to hold on, because she had never really even bothered to check or call me back. Then she tells me that the frames I ordered were discontinued but the lab was trying to get them but had communicated the status. Then, she told me that they had Been sent from the lab ten days ago but nobody knew where they were. I wonder if anyone was ever going to tell me I was not going to get my glasses. She asked if I would like to pick out different frames. I said I just wanted a refund and she refunded my money to my credit card. What a horrible way to do business. No amount of cute owl commercials will change my mind about America's Best.

Some people have a phobia about going to the dentist. Myself? I have an eye doctor phobia. My…read morevision is...bad. Very bad. Approximately every third prescription (every third year) I dance perilously close to the maximum prescription strength for contact lenses. Thankfully, technology stays one step ahead of me so I have yet to face the day when contacts are no longer an option. In any case, when your uncorrected vision is such that the very top line of the eye chart (is that an E?) is a struggle; going to the eye doctor can be...embarrassing. However, when your uncorrected vision is as mentioned above, a yearly trip to the eye doctor is a non negotiable. If you want to see clearly...which I do. The staff at Kirschner Vision is always polite and the care I receive has always been top notch. Each visit includes opto mapping where they scan and take pictures of your cornea, lens, and all that good stuff. The best part? The scan approximates a prescription based on the measurements it takes. If you are only looking for reading glasses this probably doesn't matter much. For someone like me, it saves a ton of time and anxiety as the doctor flips between lenses and tries to ascertain just how little you can see. Dr. K. can look over my pictures for any abnormalities and then have an idea of how much my prescription has changed. Sure, we still play the "Which is clearer game?" but it takes a fraction of the time. Something I very much appreciate. When it comes time for choosing new specs, the ladies up front have always helped me select the best glasses for my budget. Kirschner carries a decent selection of frames in a number of price points. I've splurged on majorly speedy frames (awesome insurance paid for everything) and I've purchased frames from their least expensive frame options (no vision insurance--ouch!). I can say at I've always been treated just as well regardless of how much I am spending. I've never had someone try to upsell me. If anything, the associate assisting me in choosing my new glasses helped me meet my needs in the most economical way possible. My only complaint about Kirschner Vision is that your wait time tends to run about 30 minutes past your appointment time. Still, it's a small annoyance in an otherwise excellent practice.

The service has lacked and doctors seem knowledgeable, but it's the management and the $$$. Not about customer satisfaction. I have been patient with them for years when they are off on prescriptions and they know that. But, they refused to correct my glasses and I had to request a refund because then they wanted to charge me more for fixing my prescription. Make no sense.

One can tell the standards are high at this practice, nice selection of frames and everything is reasonably priced. I was quite impressed to see a business run to this level of apparent perfection. Simply excellent! FOLLOW-UP Disappointed that my bifocals where significantly off focus after having an eye exam and prescription a week earlier. Had to return to have the issue rectified. They need to make the lenses another mm deeper and regrind. Also need to return a second time to pick-up the new glasses. Nobody stepped up to the plate to say "we screwed up" or "we are sorry to inconvenience you." That said, I rescind my comments about the high standards. The staff originally added 3 mm of depth to my glasses and I have a strong suspicion it was the cause of the problem. The D.O. confirmed the prescription was accurate after checking my eyes a second time. Bingo! These mistakes should not occur and are avoidable if one knows what the lab will do when making alterations to a lens order. An apology would have gone a long way in this particular case. That said, I still highly recommend Dr. Vroegh for your eye care needs.

I finally got #lasikeyesurgery…read more I have #MONOvision now which means I have perfect vision and have reading prescription so I will never need reading glasses #Amen Dr. Horne and is team at #theLASIKvisionINSTITUTE was amazing I have been a critic of some technological advances due to ethical implications and the violations of civil liberties This is one of the greatest investments in my life -- $4000 to be exact -- they don't accept insurance but they work with you My dad spent thousands of dollars on designer eye wear and if he was alive he would have been excited to do the same thing I am a huge supporter of #Ai and other #technology that improves existing systems Dr. Horne and his team explains every step to you -- the healing process is quick and easy -- you just have to wear glasses when you are awake and googles when you shower and sleep The entire procedure takes about 10 minutes -- so I highly recommend Dr. Horne at the Lasik Eye Institute-- they are the best and they really care Trust and believe I asked a million questions because I didn't want to make the wrong choice-- mainly each office staff have had the procedure or know someone that has -- If you're interested in #lasik go there I'm so thankful https://www.facebook.com/LVITinleyPark

They just repeatedly ask you over and over'Are you ok with having to wear readers if it comes to that?' I then expressed my disappointment at my follow up and the 'doctor' looked at me mystified and said' you're 48', as of that was explanation enough. The actual doctors and staff up front were amazing and so very pleasant but be warned, if you're over 35, be sure you'll be needing readers the day after.
