During the test drive, a salesman was required to come with me and also took me on a mandatory guided route which did not let me drive the car on the freeway. The freeway is where the car has many issues that I did not know of prior to buying. To my surprise, the sales department told me that they would help cover any diagnosis/repairs for the harsh vibrations that occur at freeway speeds under load. However, the service department just gaslighted me by telling me that the car is mechanically perfect and has no vibration issues. They also would not let me take a tech for a drive to reproduce the issues. The more I drove the car, the more issues I found and one of their salesman insisted that they would diagnose and fix the issues but this turned out to be very false. I contacted the GM of the dealership multiple times through email in response to his email which asked me to let him know if I can have questions, comments or concerns. However, the GM has flat out ignored me and won't even bother with a basic response. So not only will they screw you over by not letting you fully test the car, they will do whatever they can to prevent you from returning/exchanging the car, they will gaslight you over the issues the car has, and on top of that, they won't even show you the basic courtesy of responding to you when you contact them. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! Update: Finally spoke with their GM Tim Lasso and this guy is a real piece of work. He basically blamed me for everything. Didn't take responsibility for anything. Had the nerve to say that the service department cannot fix what isn't broken while telling me that a car with 105k miles is going to have worn out parts and have issues. So he contradicted himself by saying it's likely the car has issues while also telling me that service can't fix what isn't broken. What a joke. The GM is rude, condescending, will gaslight you, aggressively undermine you and put all the blame on you. Extremely Unprofessional. STAY FAR AWAY!

i don't know if these guys are scam artists or just crappy mechanics. i've been bringing my car…read morethere for 2 years. i think they had a change of ownership because the main guy i had been dealing with disappeared about a year ago. things have been downhill since then. for the sake of brevity i will just describe the most recent of my travails there. brought my car in a month ago because the check engine light was on. they said it was the egr valve and i had it replaced. $350. month later, light goes back on and my brakes start acting up. they say the light is on because someone forgot to put in the gasket w/the egr valve and it was all coated in carbon. as far as the brakes, they said i needed to replace: rear brakes (all hardware) and rear wheel cylinder-$483, and front tie rod and axle-$475. not including tax. i refused the repairs (my car is worth less than it would've cost to fix it) they said they would have to order the gasket and could i call them in a few days. ummm...how bout YOU call ME in a few days since you didnt do the job right in the first place?! so they did. brought it in and the supposedly put it in. in the meantime , i go get a second opinion. thank gawd!!! Tony from Tony's greenwood auto (that godsend), did everything they were gonna do (rear brakes, wheel cylinders, tie rod) plus thermostat and a tune up for a total of $475 (including tax, labor, etc). the same price emerald city auto was gonna charge to do JUST the tie rod!!!!!! my check engine light was back on 2 days after the emerald city guys put in the egr valve gasket. tony took a look and said they actually made the gasket rather than ordering it. and he was dumbfounded that they didnt put it in in the first place since it comes IN the box with the egr valve. if you want your car to be repaired correctly for an honest price, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

The dealership then sent my car over to Wicked Autoworks, and told me it'll be about 2 weeks until I get my car. A month later, and several uninformative phone calls later, I'm told I can come pick up my car. Had I not been as excited as I was about finally being able to leave with my 'new' car, I would have done more than accept the apology for them having not replaced my windshield, but also having removed my tonneau cover, and stowed it away in the back of the shop. At the time, I was given the "we have a new guy" excuse, which didn't explain why it was hidden in the back of the shop. After telling them to reinstall it right then and there, I was told they don't know where the mounting hardware is, so I told them to find it. 2 hours later they claimed to not be able to find it, but they'll keep looking. It wasn't until 6 months later they called me and claimed to have found the hardware. Spoiler alert, they only found half of it, and tied half the cover down with wire. After leaving the autoshop, I went straight down to the ferry, to get back over to Seattle, which is where I found another red flag. Not even halfway through Seattle, the car starts to overheat. After getting pulled over, I found that the thermostat was bad, which indicates the car was not tested after the engine had supposedly been re-installed. At the time, I thought nothing of it. I was just glad to finally have my car, and this was a super simple fix. After a week of light driving(WFH in Kenmore), my passenger side CV boot went out. During a call with Wicked Autoworks, they kept suggesting replacement parts that would not work on the Turbo version of my car. I ended up having to search for the part on my own, which wasn't a huge deal. What was a huge deal, was just how badly the dead CV Boot was damaged. The amount of damage and wear on that boot makes me think eyes were never laid upon it the whole time the car was in their shop. When asked how this wasn't noticed when the engine was being removed or replaced, the most I got was a "I don't know.". Fast forward a few years, I take my car into Subaru for normal maintenance and a multipoint inspection, with notes about checking for an oil and coolant leak. When I get my car back I'm informed my head gaskets are leaking. I asked about what could cause that, as the engine had just been rebuild about 3 years ago, and the Subaru tech. told me it doesn't look any work had been done on the engine, and I'll need it rebuilt soon. With that info, I looked back through my paperwork and found that Wicked Autoworks was only suppose to pull and re-install the engine. The engine was suppose to be shipped to Spokane to be worked on. After reaching out to the rebuild shop, I found that they only use one specific brand of head gaskets. When I checked the gaskets on my car, I found that they were not the brand used by the Spokane shop. Once I realized what likely happened, I called the dealership(NorthWest Rides), the autoshop(Wicked Autoworks), and the rebuild shop(Sunwest Auto), and they all claim to not have any records of anything over 3 years old. TLDR; They attempted to steal my tonneau cover, didn't replace windshield, more than likely took my money, and didn't do the work I paid them for.
