Very Poor Customer Service: I am here to post a review about the service I experienced yesterday. Pardon the lengthiness.
I stood in line to buy food as I usually do and witnessed the bespectacled female restaurant attendant yell angrily at someone over the phone in what appeared to be a consumer complaint situation. This she did twice in the presence of us customers lined up in front of her with no decorum or regard whatsoever. We were nice enough to stick around and wait to order. When it was my turn, I ordered fish and kung pao. I mistakenly thought she mixed them together in the same box. When I attempted to verify from her if they were mixed so I could clarify, she answered me very rudely asking if I didn't see what she did since I was in front of her. She packed up the food, coldly told me my price, rang me up, handed me my receipt in silence and stormed off to attend to the next customer. I felt very insulted because I had stood in line, tolerated her behavior, and still paid for my food. I called the restaurant a while later to express my concern directly with her. When she discovered it was me, she cut me off, snapped at me on the phone and hung up. I dialed again and this time asked for the manager. She knew it was me and again yelled at me on the phone telling me she was the manager and the owner, then hung up again.
She knew who I was because I have been visiting occasionally. But I had never seen this side of her. I was very disappointed that she would treat a known customer like me in this manner.
It is a pity that this restaurant claims to have been around for years, but yet, displays this type of behavior to customers. As a restaurant owner or attendant, whether you are having a bad day or not is irrelevant. You should NEVER deliver food service angrily. Even if you have been in the business for a long time, it does not mean you should be conceited and treat customers disrespectfully and take them for granted. The fact that people are lining up to order in your restaurant does not mean you should look down on them and treat them rudely or serve them angrily as you please, because you have been 'around for 20 years'. They are hard workers and decent human beings paying for your food and your service. Even volunteers serving free food in homeless shelters or cheaper cafeterias have better manners than what I saw yesterday.
I may be just one customer, but I am a customer nevertheless, now an ex-customer. I am glad I can air my piece on this forum even though the restaurant management may never read this review.
I will never, ever again return to this restaurant because of this treatment I received.
