We ordered a large auto part requiring special shipping. When the product was received into Ramjet's possession, it was dented. We were notified of that damage and they would order another for us. They did. For reasons not due to any fault of Ramjet, the second order received also had a dent. They offered to try again on a reorder. The shipper used was from a parts seller and seems to be at fault for all of this for improper packaging. We finally were able to get our part in acceptable condition. Ramjet staff surely went overboard with their customer service to ensure that we got the product we wanted. In addition, Ramjet's Speed Shop offered us no charge on the shipping fees AND a store credit as well!! With the store credit, hubby was able to purchase other items. We have no issues with this company and will continue to do business with them. Everyone working there was exceptional from the sales to the office staff. I get the vibe is only really for mechanics because the "customer service", I mean just simple kindness professionalism as in general civilized society. Not expecting; "hello how may I help you, can I help you find something, what can I do for you", etc.... NO NONE OF THAT. It would've been far too high expectations for that "gibberish"! Waking in through blank tinted doors, no hours or days of operation, no "enter/exit" on the door. Upon entry there are 3 people sitting behind 2 counters; 1 woman to the right "helping" (loose use of the word) a man with a couple of kids, the counter to the left; there were 2 people (1 woman & 1 man) behind it, the woman didn't flinch when I walked in, didn't look up, didn't mutter a word, probably very deep in her work star the computer. The man to my left as I approached, had his feet up on the counter (4 foot high) laid back chilling, dressed as a mechanic who just rebuilt an engine. With no direction approached the man, asking if he could help me, he said "picking up?". I was confused, said "no do I need to order online only? ". He then directed me to the other lady helping the man with his kids. After she told him, she cannot help, they do not carry that part, I approached. Stating "it's my first time in, I hope you can help me", she replied "me too".... I needed 6 bolts (automotive), I was referred to this location from the online bolt manufacturer... I asked "do you have (6) 5/8 x 18 x 1.5-2 inch bolts". The young woman replied..... "nope we don't carry bolts, can't help ya"... There was a brief pause, me expecting some direction as to where or who I may find these bolts to buy........ NOTHING. So I walked out. Very strange, guess it's a store for the trades people. ‍

I have had several amazing experiences with Kevin and the group at Grunion Fabrication over the…read morecourse of several rather oddball projects. The first project that he tackled for me was the design and installation of a roll cage that was designed for SCCA and NASA club racing and track days in a Volkswagen Scirocco. Kevin did an amazing job of doing the research ahead of time to build a cage that not only exceeded the rules, but fit very tightly inside the car to allow clear and easy access between the A-pillars and the entry way of the door bars. The work was top-notch, the welds were amazingly done and the price was fantastic. The second job that Grunion Fabrication did for me was on converting my car to a full air ride setup. The vehicle in-question is a 1989 Volkswagen (seeing a pattern here?) Syncro Tristar Double Cab, which is a very difficult vehicle to convert from traditional coil springs and struts to bags. He had to build custom mounts for the air bags and do the measuring and verification of the shock mount, and was able to do some really amazing work to hide the compressors and the lines. He also built and entirely custom set of bumpers, sliders and an expedition rack onto the vehicle. When it was completed, he went out of his way to provide me with storage of the vehicle while my mechanic was tied up. All in all, they are a great company that I would highly reccomend to anyone who is looking for a company that has tremendous attention to detail and only uses the best parts. Plus, Kevin and his group are true automotive and truck enthusiasts, so they go out of their way to deliver and sell high-quality parts and accessories.

As a fulltime fabricator I tend to notice a lot of DIY customizers get into projects way over their head. And instead of blaming their workmanship they blame the company that provided the part. Battery Buyer BEWARE!…read more I would highly recommend to avoid buying batteries from AutoZone due to their ridiculous warranty policy. I purchased a battery with an extenda warranty and upgraded gold status that failed after just 2 1/2 years, then it was prorated and up sold a platinum battery with a four year warranty, which has now failed after only 18 months. Taking the battery back to the store to exchange because it had a four year warranty. I was told that the warranty off of the new battery doesn't matter because the warranty only matters from the original battery purchase date?? What that means is they sell you a battery and then warranty it continue to give you bad batteries that have no warranty, therefore after... Buy once cry once so spend a little more at a more reputable place like Napa or your local service shop or even Costco for that matter and avoid the ridiculousness of them, not honoring warranties on batteries that are garbage to begin with!
