Overdue for this but I want thank these folks. Was on a road trip and picked up a nail in my tire. Normally I would plug and go home but I was far from home and the desert is big. Stopped here to get a new one but unfortunately they didn't have my size tire in stock. The young man behind the counter, Trevor, went above and beyond to help calling places all over Phoenix. Eventually found a shop that had what I needed and could do it same day. I have to say that kind of customer service is rare these days especially when I didn't spend any money there. Stopped by right before close to grab a helmet, luckily the staff was quick to lend a hand and allowed me to try on as many helmets before leaving. Everyone who helped me was extremely courteous and did not rush me whatsoever. They answered all of my questions completely and pointed out some great suggestions that I had never thought about when in the market for new equipment. I'm a new rider, prior to going to my MSF course I stopped by for some gear and Kirby was happy to help! Honestly that guy is great, he sized me up for a helmet and didn't try upselling anything, he gave me the honest truth about different helmet brands and how much I "value my head." He made sure the helmet we tried fit correctly and answered my 25+ questions I had about riding and gear and everything in between. This particular location is pretty small and not well stocked. What they do have is decent, but there are things I expect and they only have a few, such as tank bags. Only TWO models in stock? What??? They do have a lot of clothing, and pretty good selection of helmets. I'd recommend going to the other, larger locations, unless you're looking for what they do regularly stock. read more

I've been to many "luxury" establishments in different countries and no kidding this guy makes them seem like newbies. Had a good experience here. I was hesitant never have been on a motorcycle. I was worried that I would be treated as uncool because I had no knowledge or experience. But Jordan helped me and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Really made me feel comfortable and took the time to answer all my questions. The only downside is they seemed understaffed and Jordan had to keep running off to help other customers. Making my shopping experience much longer than it needed to be. WISH I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS!!! Took a tire in off my 2019 kx250, after having it back there for 30 minutes they came back and told me whoever had done the previous tire had bent the rim. I found that odd, because that was the first tire change ever, seeing how i bought it new from factory i knew they had damaged it and didnt want to own up to it.. also they charged me 40 for a new tube and the tube that was in it was a new one from factory.. BUT i was still in a hurry, still trying to make it to the track as i just drove 4 hrs from new mexico border to phnx so i could ride with my dad. So i told them its okay just replace it so i can get on my way. I got it to the track and after one jump i knew something wasnt right, went back to the pit to find my rear is completely flat. We took the tire in to try to get it fixed right and were told we have to wait for another guys tires to finish. So we did, after that the guys sat there and talked for a bit and when i started recording them on what they are now doing wanting to make me just wait for the fun of it. Eventually the assistant austin comes back over and tells us he cang help us and we need to leave.. no worries cuz i wouldnt ever want them to fix anything of mine. I could have wrecked bad due to that tire. Austin was rude as hell to me and my dad the whole time, i just wanted them to fix there mistake, but they didnt even wanna own up or fix it and bad mouthed us as we went out the door because we told them they clearly dont know what they are doing. If you wanna get your money robbed come let these guys mess up your brand new stuff that you work hard for, they wont mind a bit. I do alot of track and trail rides all over az, im making sure to tell people thse guys are trash! Rampant sexism. My wife and I entered the Phoenix store looking for helmets. The parking lot was empty but there were two attendants at the counter. I said WE were looking for helmets. I began trying on helmets so did my wife. I discussed pros and cons with the two attendants. Meanwhile my wife was not served, no questions, not even "may I help you." When I exhausted my options I walked over to where my wife was trying on helmets and both attendants left when they saw I was done. Not once did they ask if my wife wanted assistance. Of course, everyone likes to save money and find the best deal, but I think that it is also important to recognize (and be willing to pay for) good service. And in this case, Austin was a 5-star service provider and sales associate. I recently purchased a KLR650, and had done some research online for jackets, helmets and other gear that I was going to need. But I realized that I was going to have to go in and actually try this stuff on before making a purchase. Austin approached my son and I, and was very knowledgeable, completely unassuming and non-judgemental about our 'new to riding' questions. He was patient and best of all, not sales-y or pushy. We walked in expecting to just do some information gathering but walked out with everything that we needed because - even though we didn't get everything on sale or at an 'online price' - I was confident that we got what we needed at a fair price and with service that was well worth rewarding with our business. Purchased a Bilt Bluetooth modular helmet from them on January 30th. Only had the display model left in my size and color so I got it at a discounted price. Same day ride up to Sedona and the clip to lift the front of it broke. Hoping it was just because it's the display. Anyway, called the next day and spoke to Joel. He checked the store and called me back within an hour to tell me they had a new one in stock and to just bring the old one back. Went in today to return the broken helmet and the guy working (can't remember his name) went and pulled out a brand new one and swapped it out for me. No other costs or anything. Being new to AZ this was the first shop I've been to out here for gear and they now have a customer for life. I am about as anal retentive as it gets when it come to quality and customer service. Yes, I am a Harley Davidson guy and one know what HD stands for... $100. Everything at Harley Davidson seems to be $100. So, figured on recommendations from friends I would give Cycle Gear a try. Not only was customer service fantastic there was the same quality as what I would find a a Harley Davidson dealership at 70% less in cost. Even though my going was a quick drop in to check it out... I did spend about $108.00. Honestly, the same equipment at Harley would have easily cost three times as much. I have loved online shopping for as long as I can remember. However, I recently moved about a mile away and wanted some boots. I couldn't find prices I Iiked online and when I came in I found a darn good pair of street bike boots for $60(!) About six weeks later, they had a top notch (house brand again) pair of ventilated boots for the same price and actually allowed me to return the six week old boots for full price. What?! They have an amazing satisfaction guaranteed return policy and that's why they get the extra star. I've also since returned a pair of gloves that I tried out for about two weeks that were too tight and again got a full refund.
