My car was slow to start and I knew that if I go to O'Reilly, that the battery could quickly get tested and diagnosed. I went to the O'Reilly on Thunderbird and 40th street as I have had many great experiences there over the years. Sure enough, I was quickly attended to and they tested my battery and it was bad. In a few moments we bought a new battery and got it installed. Clemente helped me and did a great job and was very friendly. I will be coming back again when I have this issue in a few years. read more

I have shopped my parts at Oreilly auto parts 17245 N Tatum Rd Phoenix for more than 10 years. I had a bad encounter with a new store manager named Liz who was very disrespectful when I returned new unopened items. She asked me on 2 occasions why I didn't return from the location I purchased them from approx (5 miles away). She is obviously a new manager who was never properly trained in customer service. In last 10 years I was never treated with anything but total respect from all the others stores and its employees including managers. I will not be returning to this store again. read more

Stopped in today looking for an additive for my windshield washer reservoir, they didn't have the below 25 washer fluid or de-icer I was after but they did have an additive that's good to zero degree weather; I was super happy to find the additive and it was reasonably priced, Awesome. Went in there and got no help finding the tool I needed then when I went to check out the guy at the register checked us out and only after we bought a tool did he suggest another one but didn't even take us to it or tell us what it looked like. read more

I have a 1960 f 100 truck that I restored and many of the parts came from the Butherus location. We moved and live near the cave creek & cactus location. I called cave creek and asked if they machined brake drums they said yes. I drove over there and they said the machine was broken and sent me 2 miles N to the next Oryleys on Cave Creek. This guy said he didnt have the correct tool for the machine but could try another but there would be risk to over cut the drums. I huffed off again. I started calling other Oryleys to the W and they all said they couldn't do the drums. Finally I called my old Butherus location and they said they could do them. I drove straight there and the manager Garry (yes 2 Rs) Said let's do them right now and he did. I explained my previous frustration and he got right on his phone and notified the area manager. Garry was fantastic and understands the importance of helping people. Honestly I think the other stores just didn't want to take the time to change the Rotor cutting bar to the drum bar. Worst customer service! Waited in line while employee was taking care of customer ahead of me which is fine. But second employee was talking to a guy in street clothes for 5-10@. When he came out he hugged the customer in front of me and talked a minute or two. Then he went to the next cash register . I thought to help next customer which was me. The phone rang so he answered . He proceeded to look up parts and locations of the part instead of putting him on hold and checking me out. By this time there were other people in line. The person ahead of me finally finished( they couldn't find her parts and had to order from California so took long time ). So I went over and checked out. The one on scottsdale and Goldust has never had a problem employee like this guy! I will never go there again. read more

Shop here often, but will not give my business to this location again. Older heavy set guy is extremely rude. I greeted him with a "How you doing?" He ignored me and made a comment about me throwing my empty soda cup in his outside trash can and then didn't move out of my way so that I could enter the store. Had to squeeze by him. The other associate was helpful and friendly. I will be calling corporate. I shouldn't be treated like this when I spend so much money here. read more

Just had a horrible customer service experience here. My brother-in-law and I came in around 8:15 pm on a Sunday evening to get his battery checked and likely buy a new one. When my brother-in-law walked in to ask if they could test his battery, the associate behind the counter stated he didn't know where the tester was and that they were "getting ready to close" even though the hours posted on the door stated they were open for another 45 minutes. Rather than take 5 minutes to test the battery and make a sale, this associate preferred to make a lame excuse of not being able to "find" the battery tester (not even moving from the counter to even make a pretense of doing his job. Very disappointed in a store that I have been coming to for years. No more. I wonder how many other customers this associate has treated in a similar fashion? read more

I am a long time buyer from O'reilly. About 3 weeks ago my wife's battery would not start her car, Autozone put their tester on it and deemed it to be bad. My wife then remembered she bought it as O'reilly. I took the register receipt and the battery down to the store at 27th ave and Glendale in phoenix Arizona. The gal at the counter put her tester on it, and then said she'll have to charge it for 3 hours then test it again. I explained the test results I received elsewhere and she got very rude, the ther cashier buddy chimed in as if I was too loud. I called corporate and told them of this incident and he said, he was very friendly but said our methods are antiquated and so is our test gear, sorry. So in 3 hours I picked up her battery. The guy said "THIS IS ONE GOOD BATTERY" full of snark. so after 2 weeks I had to jump her car yesterday, on this battery that is only 2 years old. Then I charged it. Just now she called because she is stranded again.NEVER again O'reilly. This battery will be used as a core to get one from ANYONE but you, infact I will never shop your store again, I will forgo my remaining warranty because you guys are shady... UPDATE: Her car is doing quite fine with the Costco battery I put in, and in was almost half the price. read more

HORRIBLE Customer Service, and of no use whatsoever. Don't count on them to resolve any problems, or do anything to help or compensate you in any way. I strongly suggest that you Do NOT buy NGK Spark Plugs. I purchased 3 of these "knockoff" spark plugs from 3 different stores, and ALL THREE were defective. I spent a week of time and almost $500 in parts to repair my RV Generator, thinking I had NEW spark plugs. When I returned 2 of them to the last store I shopped at, and asked for Champion Plugs, they still charged me the extra $3.50 each. Their corporate customer service promised me a call from their regional manager, which predictably I never received. I also strongly believe they did NOTHING to resolve this obvious problem with their NKG's. I will NEVER enter another O'Reilly's store again. BTW... from the minute I installed the Champion plug, my generator has been running great. read more
