Don't bother making a reservation since that means nothing to them. You just get in line when your pick up time comes. I made a reservation on the evening of the 10th for a 6am pickup the next day. I received a reservation number. HA! The next day I looked to see where our cab was and saw none had been assigned. At the scheduled pick up time I called, waited on hold for 3 minutes to have an unhappy lady tell me that there were lots of calls. I said but I had a reservation. She said but there were lots of people that needed rides. I said so why make a reservation. When she couldn't answer that I said Is a cab on it's way? I am going to miss my flight! and she said no. I had to race to the airport, park my car and pay a $300 parking fee. I will hitchhike before I take Oregon Taxi! read more

Oregon taxi really dropped the ball today. I reserved a cab over four hours ahead for pickup at airport. Agent for reservation had very poor English skills. She was very difficult to understand. Later, I learned that cab company is using an overseas call center. Anyway, on arrival there was no cab waiting and none in sight. Finally I get a ride from another cab. I'd like to call and get an explanation, but when I did so in the past, the dispatcher and dispatcher supervisor were dismissive at best. I use Oregon Taxi about 2-3 times a week, and the majority of the time they are clean, polite and on time. However, recently I've had enough scary drivers (texting while driving, aggressive driving, unwilling to help or creepy demeanor) or poorly maintained vehicles (no a/c, falling apart seatbelts, stained/gross upholstery) that I felt compelled to write a review. This morning though was the worst. I reserved a ride nearly an hour in advance and the ride was 40 minutes late, despite numerous calls asking "where were they?" and assurances that I was their "highest priority". My schedule wasn't flexible which is why I called early. Later, when I complained and requested a complimentary ride, they said they couldn't. I tip well and am a frequent rider so they're being very shortsighted. I will never use them again! Nor recommend them! read more

I had a fairly important work function to get to at 6am, only 2 miles down the road from my home. I called at 5:20, no one answered until 5:27. I told them I had to be there at 5:50 and was assured someone would be right over. At 5:42 a cab was dispatched, the driver called me at 5:54 more than half a mile down the road. I told him where I was, he kept just telling me where he was instead. As if, in the dark, I should walk more than half a mile down the road THROUGH A HOMELESS CAMP to find him. I got a little irked, told him to get GPS, canceled the cab and hung up. I called back to dispatch asking for a manager. The dispatcher insisted they were the manager, and when I asked what on earth they were thinking, I was hung up on. I work for one of the largest employers in town, who gives Oregon Taxi a lot of business. I missed my function because of these clowns. Some other highlights with Oregon Taxi: --multiple drivers who have reeked of marijuana --a driver who had a friend riding shotgun, took forever to get to me as they had to stop at Taco Bell on the way to getting me (see above!) --last spring, a driver so BLIND he had a patchouli-scented woman in the front see playing seeing eye dog for him - he nearly hit another car just getting out of my driveway then took me so off course my cab fare was about 30-40% higher than other runs to the same address I'm done with these fools. In the age of Uber & Lyft, I can't believe they'd treat a customer, especially one going to a business they know gives them a TON of business, like this. read more

Several drivers are not good and the management does not respond to complaints. One in particular picks up disabled people via Ride Source and then uses his job to take advantage of them. It happened to me and my complaints to all involved went unanswered. There is no way I would suggest using them. There are some lovely drivers. The dispatchers underestimate time to arrive and fares. read more

Very reliable and punctual! I've used Oregon Taxi about 15 times now, maybe more, and only once were they not already at the house a few minutes before they were scheduled to arrive. That one time they were about 4 minutes late. I've come to trust them, but I always request a pickup a minutes early to allow for such circumstances. Reading other reviews I wanted to add my perspective. I, for one, have not had anything but courtesy and their punctuality is fine. They are also very good about airport pickups, calling your phone as you get off the plane. Nice touch. read more

I called this company at 11:31 am today requesting a 12:30 pickup for a job interview at 1pm...at 12:39pm when nobody had called me or showed up, I called the same njumber i had reserved my ride with. I was told that my driver was just a couple mins away and would be here shortly. at 12:43pm...(15 mins before my interview) the driver calls and says he is still another 10 mins out. I explained i have a job interview and was not given any sympathy. I immediately dialed the dispatch number again, waited on hold for about 5 mins. A lady answered and i explained the situation, she said "oh my god, why is he so late?" let me call him and find out...i waited on hold another several mins. By now im not going to make it to my first job interview and its less than 10 mins until interview time!!!! She gets back on the line and says "yes, unfortunately he will not be there for another several minutues" and furthermore "i do not have the authority to credit you for this ride, you will have to pay for it" I said "i have to pay full price on a ride that i scheduled 1 hour early and ...is 30 mins late?" she verified "yes maam, i apologize for that" "I said nevermind, cancel, already missed my interview" she simply said "OK" and hung up. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! I will tell everyone not to use this company!!!! Horrible customer service and they don t give a damn about you as proven by the unwillingness or inability to even be fair in a fare that is going to be over 30 mins late... not even worth 1 star read more

Last night my daughter called a taxi to take her home from the WOW Hall to her apartment by the university. He drove her almost a mile past her apartment and when she said she was going to pay with a debit card, which she has done on several other occasions. He grabbed her wallet took the money that she had out, kicked her out of the cab and threw her purse into the street on the opposite side of the car from where she was standing and called her very nasty names. He left her in a very dark area and she had no idea where she was. She had to walk several blocks to find a landmark to direct me where to pick her up. Do not use this taxi company, clearly, their drivers are unsafe and unstable. read more

good luck getting a taxi when the students go home for break. your call will get answered - to a looping advertisement. once i was waiting for my ride at the airport and observed a person leaving the airport who was snatched up by an Oregon Taxi as they were dropping off a fare. they should have directed that person to the cab stand where cabs have been waiting patiently in line for a fare. this goes to show you what they are about. it's more than just a couple of bad experiences ...there were others. read more

The negative reviews are right on the mark. I booked a pickup on line through Oregon Taxi's web site hours in advance for 10:30 new years eve and received a confirmation email. Cab was a no show, no call. Glad there are becoming more options in town. Service like this is why Uber is so popular elsewhere. read more

They are horrible some of the cab drivers are rude some are crazy and most of the manager do give a rat's you know what about the customers, or customer service!!! My husband called for a pick-up from this company and as soon as the cab driver arrived he proceeded to START THE CLOCK. It took my husband a few minutes to get to the cab. He only needed to be transported 10 miles away, which he was charged $50 for. This is unacceptable business etiquette. I'd like to know WHO THEY CHARGE while they are sitting and waiting for a call to pick someone up??? Per THEIR website their fare fee is $2.25 per mile. Folks this only comes out to $22.50 for 10 miles, PLUS a $1.25 fuel surcharge fee for a total of $23.75 - PLUS whatever WE CHOOSE to leave for a tip. How can they justify charging double the fee for 10 miles??? My husband gave him $60 and the cab driver only gave him $5 change...keeping the rest for his tip!! REALLY!!! It's not your decision!!! Called to get a time. Dispatcher didn't listen tried to send cab even without asking. Called back to cancel and again the the same guy was short and rude. Terrible customer service to the point where it made me so frustrated I fell guilty to being that ass hole on the phone. I am so frustrated and infuriated right now! Last night, about 11:30 p.m I put in an order for a cab 4:45 a.m. from Oregon Taxi (I had just gotten off of work at 11 p.m.). Got my booking receipt and went right to sleep. 4:45 rolls around and I'm standing outside, no cab in sight. So I call, and I'm told that "sorry, we can't pick you up because we got a bunch of orders from the airport". I say "I scheduled this cab 5 hours ago, and I have to be to work in 15 mins". Then I was informed that it would be a one hr. wait. When I informed him that this was BEYOND unprofessional and that I needed the next available cab to be sent to me immediately, the guy on the phone then hung up on me. So I start walking the 3.5 miles to work, calling every cab in the city, but every single one was booked out for the next hour at the least. So what, I'll be late to work right? I'm sure they think that this is not their problem and that it doesn't really matter if I am late. But I am an in home caregiver. There is an elderly woman with severe dementia waiting for me ON HER OWN because her daughter has to leave for work herself and cannot jeopardize her own job and wait for me. So these people, who apparently weren't capable of calling me and informing me there would be an issue with my appointment this morning, put an old woman severely at risk this morning because they were unable to do their jobs. I don't know why every cab in the city was busy at 4 in the morning, but there is zero excuse for not coming through on a scheduled appointment without contacting the person you have scheduled. I don't normally need to cab to work, however my car is being worked on by my dad, and I've had to schedule rides this week due to the bus not going that early. I am proud of myself though... I made just over three miles, up the steep, steep hill that is Donald Street in just about 40 mins. This company owes me an apology for how I was treated. With the exception of last night, when Steve from Oregon Taxi decided to berate me for getting in a taxi cab that was not his. It's 10:50 pm, and I have been waiting for "my" prearranged taxi for 30 minutes. It's cold, but at least I have company: at least one Oregon taxi has been waiting here with me the whole time. But apparently I can't take one of those taxis, even though they work for the same company, because they are not "my" taxi. Since reading Thom A's review I have serious doubts about the credibility of any positive reviews of Oregon Taxi. Unless I'm mistaken Thom is an owner @ Oregon Taxi and in my opinion that makes his review a bogus review and it is one of only two positive reviews on here. Drove from Klamath Falls to Springfield to attend Nitro Circus (with prepaid tickets) with four excited kids. Called Oregon Taxi as soon as we checked into our room and reserved a pick up for 6:30 p.m. Needless to say, they were a no show. Made several calls to them asking where they were and it was always on our way. Called other taxi companies, but was too late by then to get to Nitro Circus. Wish the front desk at the motel hadn't recommended this taxi company. We might have made it to our event if we hadn't depended on them. The last time I called to complain about the no show - they said they came to get us and we were the no show. read more

On the 7th of October I call to set a pickup of my elderly mother , my wife and I to go to the airport at 4:30 am on the 11th. They let me know no problem. I called on the 10th to confirm. Horrible service every time. As a regular cab user who has no license, I do however own my own buisness. I have to say/comment the degree of professionalism is low here. Example (and this is just one of way to many) i called today for a cab, to take me to an appointment across town. I express that i have to be on time and ask the wait time. The dispatch tells me not to worry a cab will be there shorty/ have me in time for my appointment. It is now thirty minutes past and i have once again gone with HYBRID TAXI 541 357 8294 not only were they right about my wait time. The cars are nicer,and drivers more clean cut(i always get old tweaker looking guys with oregon taxi). In short once again i have been let down due to poor service from oregon taxi. I've had multiple bad experiences with Oregon Taxi. The drivers are often rude, their wait times can be ridiculous, and when they are on time they're earlier than when you requested. The rates are expensive and impractical especially for the college students who often use their services in Eugene. One time I called a ride to the airport and they arrived 20 minutes earlier than expected. I asked them to wait 5 minutes and the driver refused, rudely declining my request. I then had no ride to the airport, scrambling to find one and nearly missing my flight. I'm writing this current review as I have already waited for an hour for a Taxi - originally I requested a car for 5 people and one for 4 was sent. The driver barely stopped before he realized he couldn't fit us all, rudely telling us he'd call another one as he drove away, as if we wasted his time. The service and operating of Oregon Taxi is inefficient and often ridiculous. Eugene needs Uber and lLyft for fast, convenient rides since Oregon Taxi cannot provide that. read more

A joke of a company. I used the Oregon Taxi app to book a ride one weekend night and the company immediately sent me an email telling me my ride was booked and the credit card I had on file would be charged. However, they were not swift to tell me that my ride had been canceled; I had to personally call the company 15 minutes after I received the confirmation email to discover my ride had been canceled. If you're going to be so quick to email me about my booking, why can't you be just as quick to let me know my ride was canceled? It would have saved me the hassle and extra 20 minutes it took to book and wait for another ride. Oregon Taxi is so desperate to be "just like Uber" with its app, except that it charges passengers much more than Uber does and is not nearly as reliable. I'll be deleting the app and using any other possible transportation service before I have to use Oregon Taxi again. read more

Worst service ever. I called them 2 hours ahead of time for a pick up, and they were 16 mins late!! I got laughed at when I called to complain about my driver being late. The didn't apologize when I told them I was going to be late for work they just laughed. read more

Scheduled a 4:00am ride to airport the night before. Called when they hadn't showed up by 4:20 and they could neither confirm or deny whether a car was on its way. My wife had to throw two sleeping kids in the car and I barely made my flight. Will never trust Oregon Taxi with my business again. read more

We had a good experience with Oregon Taxis. They were the 3rd service I called since the others did not have cars available. They quoted 15 mins but the driver was there within 2 mins. The driver was very friendly and informative about the town of Eugene. It was a pleasant trip. read more
